Lush earns polarizing reviews: aficionados praise its standout bath bombs, indulgent scrubs (Scrubee, Ocean Salt, Magic Crystals), beloved staples like Dream Cream, Celestial, and Mask of Magnaminty, plus vegan/eco-minded practices and fun in‑store testing. Detractors cite overpowering, sometimes irritating fragrances, inconsistent efficacy (notably some skincare, conditioners, and shampoo bars), product discontinuations, and occasional staining or messy residue from bombs—making the brand better for gifts and sensorial self‑care than results‑driven routines.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I used to love them but the bath bombs gave me rashes
I love this store. I have purchased many things from bath bombs to the dream sleep lavender cream, to the elbow grease that is amazing for refreshing tattoos.
Feedback
I love that you can return your empty containers and I love that their ingredients are simple and earth friendly. The elbow grease is probably my favorite; I love the smell and how well it works.
Every single face mask makes me break out or have an allergic reaction. The only product I liked was the shaving cream, but it's overpriced and I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. Nice packaging, but the store experience has gone down in terms of the amount of products they have on the shelves and the customer service.

Test your products, make less variety and better MVPs.
some products are good, some aren’t. their conditioner doesn’t do much for me and their bar soaps have always felt drying, but their fresh face masks and body washes are nice.
Feedback
a fair amount of the products probably aren’t worth your money. but for newbies or people with product questions i’d recommend going in the store, it’s a nice experience and they always give samples.

I loved going into my and having the workers be able to help me!
Feedback
More reasonably prices for the product.
I had different products : - jelly body wash (funny to use but not practical) - rose and tea tree mist (very fresh in the morning to wakeup the skin) - solid shampoo (the best i have ever tried)
Feedback
Some products are good, some are not that efficient. The brand has a values such as "vegan" but products smell so hard that we have the impression that it is chemical. On some products, no precise instructions for use.
Smelled good, texture was off-putting. Granted, the last time I used lush products was five or so years ago.
Feedback
Packaging is also not appealing.
Lush products can be hit or miss.
Feedback
I like their hair masks a lot but some of the skin products are very fragrance-heavy or just don't help enough with my acne management.
Love the hand cream and the body scrubs that I have tried from Lush. The fragrances are delicious at home, but going into the store is a little overwhelming for the olfactory senses!
Skincare and body care that doesn’t have hash chemicals. I love there bathbombs, they make bath soaks luxurious. Also love their face mask

I’m so glad I get to leave a review for Lush. I could not say enough good things about this brand. From their inclusivity to their all natural products lush is a company that really is doing it all. I would support this brand with any endeavor that they choose to embrace with their line of products. Really proud of them.
Obsessed with lush and how everything makes me skin feels after use
Not worth the price. I love how they have stores which I can go into but I wasn’t satisfied with their products for me. I do love giving the bath bombs as gifts however
I am a long-time lush user, I love their haircare and skincare products the most! Perfumes are also fantastic.
It was all the rage in the early 2010s in Saudi, but now it houses a few hidden gems. I love Ro’s Argan and Rub, Rub, Rub (the latter being the first scrub I ever bought). I’m curious to try Big and Super milk. I think now, we have local alternatives at much more accessible price points with more transparency in supply chains, so that’s why Lush isn’t as popular but it’s still nice.
Ughh..not a win for me. Greasy and just didn’t seem to feel like it was off my face no matter how much I tried to get it off. The smell it too potent as well.
I mostly use Lush these days to get gifts for those who love Lush - I’m not a fan myself. The products make me itch and sneeze. Very strong, very potent, and I get a headache in the shop and can’t stand the shop vibe (I know from first and second hand experience that staff are expected to be that pushy, and I HATE that experience when I go shopping). Also for an eco friendly company they overpack when they ship, AND they never provide discrete packaging (which again, I’m buying gifts and you just send me the world’s smelliest box with a massive lush stamp on it? Thanks. Surprise ruined.)

BATHBOMBS😩😩!!
Nope. Lush is a disappointment for me. I want their products to work as well as they smell. And thier tagline of homemade products to represent some variant of the truth. But I don’t get what I want. Shampoo bars are probably the worst. I love the idea of a shampoo bar! But there are reasons why most shampoos in the western world is sold in liquid form (beyond ya know, greed and our obsession with plastic packaging). It’s expensive and difficult chemically to make an effective solid shampoo bar that isn’t overly harsh. And every time I fall for a Lush Shampoo Bar again — ooh they smell so pretty — my scalp is like girl you stupid aren’t you? Scalp may have a point here. I digress. If you must, walk in the store and sniff. And walk away. Your skin knows better.
I love going to their shop because it smells amazing and they have a great selection of products. I especially love their bath bombs and I've also tried some of their masks.
