Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • It’s good I’m not big on the flavor though

    More variety of flavors

    Friends with Liquid I.V.
  • I'm coming down with a cold and decided to try this for the electrolytes. I have only tried the passion fruit flavor, but Liquid IV does not taste good to me, personally. I feel like the product works, but I had to chug it due to the taste.

    Feedback

Better flavoring - less salty and artificial.

  • I love the idea of this and how easy they are to use I didn’t notice any significant difference after drinking, but if it gets people to drink more water I’m all for it!

  • I think there are better products on the market for hydration solutions, but Liquid I.V. will do the job. They have a good variety of flavors and are on the more expensive side, but not horrible.

    Feedback

There is a lot of added sugar.

  • They are pricey and have way too much sugar. I do end up drinking A LOT more water just to dilute the sweetness

  • I love the mission of this brand, but there is SO much sugar in one single packet - 11g per serving! What I don't understand is why. There certainly doesn't need to be that much sugar in an electrolyte powder, and these would be far more beneficial and effective if they cut the sugar by at least 50% and it would still taste sweet. Would even be great if they replaced the sugar with an alternative sweetener like monk fruit or stevia leaf. While the flavors taste good and I like the idea of drinking one each day, at the end of the day, I feel like I'm doing my body more harm than good by drinking LiquidIV.

Should cut down the sugar content or replace with alternative sweetener.

  • Good flavors and form factor. Easy to use. Enjoyed adding electrolytes to my water but moved to an alternative brand that was lower calorie and less sweet

    Feedback

Too sweet and unnecessarily high in calories

  • Super yummy and felt great after I drink it. Honestly have tried a handful of these types of electrolyte drink mixes and it seemed like one of the rests so I didn't find anything different or special from this one particular. This is the one I have the most because the bulk selling of it at Costco is very convenient. Really love all the different flavors and the energy and immune one are my favorite.

  • An excellent way to ensure your body stays hydrated and has the necessary electrolytes to function well. Easy and mobile packaging ensures it's simple to travel with and use anywhere. The taste is good - not overpowering or sugary but definitely not too faint. Don't love the passionfruit but love the lemon lime!

The name overpromises based on product functionality.

  • First ingredient? Pure cane sugar. Second ingredient? Dextrose (sugar made from corn or wheat). Third ingredient? Citric acid - a preservative that's also used in cleaning products. THEN come the vitamins. Need I continue? Just take a multivitamin, this is useless.

    Feedback

More vitamins, less artificial flavorings and preservatives.

  • Love liquid iv! Has saved me multiple times when dehydrated, especially as a migraine sufferer it helps so much!

  • I love how easy there are to throw in a bag or lunchbox. I used them when visiting Disney World in the hot, humid Florida heat and felt they helped a ton with my hydration status. The taste isn't the absolute best as they kind of a have a hint of salty flavor to them, but I'm sure that's part of the electrolytes.

  • I really like Liquid IVs for, particularly, before and/or after drinking alcohol. I have used them at many music festivals and I feel that they allow me to have more energy and be more hydrated throughout the day. I really like the immunity and the energy versions!

    Feedback

They taste very sweet and I would prefer a slightly less sweet taste.

  • I love this product - the flavor options keep advancing and it is so nice to see more than lemon lime! This is a costco staple of ours and I absolutely love it.

    Feedback

The price feels like it's only grown which is a bummer but such is life - would love more flavors with less sugar.

  • Some of the flavors aren’t great but overall I keep these on hand for days I’m feeling dehydrated.

    Feedback

    Some flavors could be better.

  • Delicious tasting, not grainy, and ready to use in a pinch

    Feedback

    Reduce added sugar

  • LOVE Liquid I.V., has an interesting taste at first but easy to get used to. I really love strawberry & tangerine extra vitamin c! I always buy in bulk, take on vacations, drink before/after a heavy workout or long run All of my friends make sure it's on our packing list

    Feedback

More flavors, extra boost of vitamin c in all not just tangerine

  • Go to brand for electrolytes. Definitely on the pricer side but I have tried several flavours and all are pretty good.

Wish they were less sweet and they sold a tub or something to minimise single use packaging.
