Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I cannot tell you the number of people I have evangelized about Liquid I.V. I love using this as a pick me up after a hot day or a hard workout. The tangerine flavor is incredible (plus vitamin c and zinc!), other standout flavors are strawberry and watermelon for a "sweeter" seeming flavor, and the guava is a nice more subtle flavor.

The pack to water ratio is really off for me. I mix with at least 24-30 oz of water (extra extra hydration ;) ) since I don't like it as sweet, but that is perfect for me.
Great to use when you’re feeling dehydrated. The small packets are portable and great for on-the-go use. The flavor variety is great too. I do think some of the flavors are too salty, but that might just be the nature of electrolyte drinks.
It works! And tastes great. Always have these on hand when I’m planning to spend a night out.
Helps stay hydrated and makes you want to drink water. I add more water than the directions say because otherwise I think it’s too sweet/concentrated flavor. Helps me keep my electrolyte balance on hikes so my fingers don’t swell

Lower the sugar content
The flavors are good, but I am curious to know if these actually work. I know some people swear by them, but when I tried them, I didn't feel like they 'replenished' me. Not the same glucose rush that gatorade gives, which feels good.

The best hangover cure, hands down! I was skeptical at first but after trying Liquid IV for the first time, I couldn't believe how much better I felt, almost instantly. They have pretty good flavors too!

I'm not a huge fan of drinks like Gatorade because of the texture and this does remind me of a sports drink.

I'm not a fan and I'm honestly shocked how popular this product is.... It's way too sweet! (i.e. Tastes just like drinking candy.) I got such a upset stomach after using it. Although, I felt more "hydrated" because I had to drink so much water after how dry it made my mouth. So in essence... I guess it works? Would rather just chug a packet of stevia and have the same effect.

Make the product less sweet and healthier.
I've drank Liquid IV after a long night out before, but the flavor is definitely not one I like. there are artificial sweeteners in it along with real sugar, but stevia has such a distinct taste that i can't get over. would i get this again if it was one of the only options for electrolytes? yes. but i wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
It tastes super sweet. If you are not sensitive to the taste of stevia like me, then you might be more accepting of the taste. The sugary taste overpowers the flavor that it's hard for me to swallow it.
A must in my travel bag, great for optimizing hydration and for on the go electrolytes. Delicious flavors and a major pick me up when dehydrated!
I think liquid IV does great when it comes to flavor. When it comes to their formula, however, I’m not as impressed. It has a decent amount of sodium and potassium, but no magnesium which is part of what we lose when we sweat, which is the point of electrolytes. It’s better than nothing but if you want an actually effective electrolyte, this isn’t the best.
Tasted like ocean water, I gagged. My husband drinks anything and everything but he also gagged and we dumped it out.
I am sold on the sugar- flavors, however, I wish there were more options. I like that these packs are convenient for on-the-go travel & working out. Sometimes they are hard to dissolve in water though and I think the tablet form like Nuun would be better. Regardless, I will take electrolytes how I can get them and this one is effective for workouts and hangover prevention.
The flavors are not great and I dont feel hydrated ever when I drink them
Prefer “banana bag” foe electrolyte replacement.
Unpopular opinion: I really didn't notice/feel that much of a difference when using this post-drinking/for a hangover. I have friends who swear by it, so maybe I'm just chronically nutrient deficient? Either way, for the high price point, I feel at times this is more of a fad than it is a remedy. I've realized with time that plain old water can do equal wonders for free. I also thoroughly do not enjoy the taste - way too sweet.
This was a total hit at my sons wrestling match and much better than sugar loaded others

This simply works. I have these often when I'm sick or know I'm about to do a big workout, and this helps me stay hydrated. It's great for preventing headaches, or to bring along if you're about to go on a night out. I love that it's compact and shelf-stable so I can keep one in my bag in case I need it!

I love this stuff, but it's a little sweet for me. It also sometimes settles at the bottom of the glass, so I don't feel like I'm getting my full serving when I take it.

Some of the flavors taste better than others, but overall the brand is a tried and true favorite!! It consistently gets the job done.
