Gisou earns polarized reviews: while many praise the Honey Infused Hair Oil, hair mask, and hair perfume for lush scent, shine, and softer, healthier-looking hair, others find several products—especially the oil, shampoo/conditioner, and some lip oils—heavy, underwhelming, or messy. Reviews cite standout sensory appeal and occasional real improvements, but note inconsistent performance across hair types, leaky droppers, granules in serum, and short-lived or subtle results.

I got the honey hair oil from Sephora. I had just completed a five-month hiking trip and my hair was a frazzled mess — the oil really helped it to look a bit more sleek and shiny until I could get to the hairdresser. After about three weeks of daily use, I felt like my hair was also beginning to look generally healthier (less dry and frizzy). I normally have to be careful about how much oil I put in my hair as it's quite fine, so gets limp/greasy easily, but my hair slurps this up and I've been able to apply this a few days in a row before needing to wash it.
The smell is unparalleled and lasts for an entire day - work, commute, club, the gisou honey prevails it all. The hair oil is the first product that has restored my ends instead of breaking them. Trust this brand with my life!

Try their lip oil, you can not leave it. I love the packaging, the texture of the lip oil and also the attitude every time I buy their product.
I got the heat protectant in the Sephora Favorites Luxe Package and I really like the smell and lightweight feeling on my hair. I don’t know if it actually did protect my hair since my hair is pretty thick to begin with but I will definitely keep using it and maybe even re-buy!
I really wanted to like the honey hair perfume! I love the smell and how refreshingly addictive it is to smell, but the product just did not do anything for me / smell did not hang on as long as expected.

Super luxury feel, love the hair oil

Price point is way too high - the shampoo isn't great and doesn't lather at all. Much cheaper alternatives out there
Their lip oils are terrible; they are way too runny and don’t have any cooling ingredients such as mint; the applicator brush is not cushiony AT ALL; the oil itself is way too runny and tastes and smells awful. However their hair perfume is a great investment-especially if you use flat irons daily. Plus the brand’s mission to protect bees is great.
the hair perfume is soooo nice I love using it on days I don't wash my hair because my dry shampoo is unscented. I've gotten so many compliments and it looks cute on my perfume tray <3
I ordered the gisou lip oil because I heard so much about it and I was disappointed. It feels like oil on the lips and the only reason I give this brand a 3/5 is because their packaging is so cute and I haven’t tried enough products.
Tried their lip oil because I loved the packaging but honestly can't justify 30+ dollars for a lip product. Same goes for most of their hair care products. Packaging is so lovely but I don't think they should be priced as high.
The hair perfume is a beautiful, delicate scent that leaves my hair smelling feminine and fresh. I use it as an all over spray when I don’t want a heavy smell. I get compliments all the time on how I smell when I have this on. I also like to spray this before the gym and my hair doesn’t have that sweaty, damp smell after working out.
I bought the hair perfume from Gisou a few months ago and I really like it. At first, I was like, 'who needs a hair fragrance?' but now I NEED a hair fragrance. Smells like honey with a hint of something floral and fresh.

I wanted to like gisou but I got the lip oil and saw lots of particles inside which was gross I emailed them and they told me it was just how the product is due to the brush. Which I think is gross and should have been thought through more.
Not a fan of their classic scent and the hair mask felt sooo heavy in my hair. Definitely a pass for me.
Decent products and delicious smells!
I tried their hair oil, and it was a disappointment, it is not absorbed by the hair so made no difference really. The brand has so many good reviews on their website I am confused. The hair wash and conditioners are ok, but maybe not for all hair types? (mine is dry and curly). Smells amazing though! In general, I like the idea of the brand with honey-infused products, but it looks overhyped to me.
Big disappointment and I'm honestly a little embarrassed how much I paid for it lol. The hair oil only minimized my frizz for five minutes or so but immediately wore off the second I left the house. I remember seeing reviews online talking about how good it smelt, and it was a big reason of why I purchased it: there is little to no noticeable scent?? Also, it's in a glass dropper bottle, which makes the user experience so annoying having to apply the product then try to screw the dropper back in the bottle with oily hands. All around failure for me and definitely not worth the price point.
I've just tested their honey shampoo and I really like the smell of the product and the texture of my hair after washing.
Their hair oil and leave in conditioner are seriously worth the hype. The oil does not have a greasy feeling to it, but a very hydrating and nourishing feel to the skin and hair. The leave in conditioner helped with my frizz throughout the day. I would definitely repurchase. Love the packaging and formulas!
I don’t understand the hype…????
