Gisou Reviews

4.0

Gisou earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its Honey-Infused Hair Oil, hair mask, and hair perfume often deliver soft, shiny, great-smelling hair, but results vary by hair type and some products feel heavy or underpowered. Reviews also flag inconsistent hydration, a leaky glass dropper and oily residue from the oil, and middling shampoo/conditioner and leave-in performance—making the core oil, mask, and perfume the safer bets.

  • I am obsessed with keychains and mini perfumes. When gisou launched a new mini perfume set with a custom keychain I knew I had to get it. The mini perfume has a gorgeous chocolate coconut scent to it and I’m obsessed with the brown inspired keychain that goes along with it. Without a doubt gisou is one of my top favorite brands ever.

  • I waited at least 2 weeks before I reviewed this product, and I finally have my verdict! This is the best lip mask I’ve tried. It’s not tacky like the Laneige one, and I feel it does a great job of not only moisturizing, but also healing and keeping my lips hydrated. There’s no weird taste, and it doesn’t stain my pillowcase. I would also venture to say it’s safe for sensitive skin. I’ve noticed my lips look a lot healthier, and my lipstick stays on a lot longer because of it!

  • This is super glossy and drenches lips, making them look ultra-juicy, plus it smells gorgeous! It leaves lips feeling smooth but isn't super long lasting - I find I need several top-ups across the day. I got the Honey Gold one since I didn't want much colour. The issue for me is that I do find it quite sticky, which personally I do not like, and I find myself having to blot it into my lips a bit which kind of defeats the purpose. I know it's much loved by influencers but the stickiness means I won't buy it again.

  • I’ve also tried a few other products from the brand, and overall they work nicely together as a routine. The scent is consistent across the line, which makes the whole experience feel more put together and high-end. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the price point. It’s definitely more on the expensive side, and not every product feels like a must-have. But overall, it’s a brand I enjoy using and reach for when I want my hair to look extra polished and glossy.
