E.l.f earns strong reviews for delivering high-performing, cruelty-free dupes—standouts include Power Grip Primer, Camo Concealer, Putty Blush/Bronzer, Halo Glow Liquid Filter, and excellent brushes—proving the brand is good and often comparable to prestige. Reviews also flag inconsistencies: hit‑or‑miss formulas, sticky primers for some, creasing concealer without setting, messy or leaky packaging, short product quantity, and irritation or breakouts on sensitive skin.

I was looking for a new contour stick - the one I had before was tossed because its plastic cap broke, and I didn't know what to do with the stick without a protective cover. With that in mind, I saw the elf contour beauty wand and decided to try it out. It has a cushion-tip applicator which I like, and a seemingly more secure cap. It's easy to use, and did the trick!
I have tried a few of their products and while they seem solid for their price, I don't find them to be anything amazing. Nice, basic cosmetics.
Love the putty primer
Such great products! Especially given the price, I am always impressed with what I buy from them.

e.l.f. is an awesome cost-effective makeup brand! They have quickly become a go-to in my daily routine, especially their Multistick and Browlift gel. I also loooove their Daily Dew Stick, which is a super pretty highlighter that lasts all day and has a cool, refreshing application. Big fan of e.l.f.!
Price point is solid for the necessary items that you don't want to spend a lot of money on. Only thing is that the foundations are not my favorite formula, but the eyeliner and mascaras are worth it.
the drug store goat for a reason! not thrilled how their pricing has gone up over the years given I remember everything being $1 as a tween, but inflation is very real. and they are bringing back the jelly pop primer, so who can complain!!! will prob use elf until im old
It's okay overall, but not my favorite. The primers feel too sticky on my skin, and I haven’t found a foundation shade that really works for me — the colors feel a bit off.
Great brand for quality products at a budget price. I have tried the brow gel, liquid blushes, and lip products. I like that they offer drugstore alternatives to popular prestige brands. Their brush line is a hidden gem comparable to high end brands.
Great product and price can’t be beat
E.l.f is sooo underrated! I have switched so many of my expensive makeup items to E.l.f and they literally deliver the same quality at a fraction of the price. I'm so impressed with everything I have bought from them, but I'm ride or die for their roller lash mascara!
I use the brow and lash gel but both for my brows and I love the product. I havent tried other things but I love this product.
ELF provides high quality makeup and brushes at an affordable price point. I love their kabuki and eyeshadow brushes. Their precision eyebrow pencil is also amazing to fill in sparse parts of your brows without over applying the product. I’m sure they have good quality products that I have yet to try. The eyeshadow was alright in terms of color payoff and I haven’t found a lipstick in my shade quite yet. 5/5 for quality and affordability though.
e.l.f. Face Primer is a total game-changer for my makeup routine! It glides on smoothly, minimizes the appearance of pores, and creates the perfect base for foundation. My makeup stays in place all day, even through heat and humidity. I love how lightweight and non-greasy it feels on my skin, and it doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts. Plus, it’s super affordable without sacrificing quality, making it a staple in my beauty routine. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly primer that delivers professional results, e.l.f. Face Primer is a must-try. Highly recommend!

With some things you get what you pay for, but E.l.f. tends to surprise me with quality. I have used numerous brushes, and some basic makeup products and have never been disappointed.
Some products are hit and miss, but typically any color powder products are solid - like blush or contour. Such affordable prices too so it's guilt-free trying out different products or colors

A lot of their products are my go to everyday ones I choose over more expensive brands. I would say more of the makeup is my go to than skincare.
Always good make up for the price point and so many good dupes for high-end products
I love elf. It’s super affordable and it’s great. The amount of dupes are crazy and they really work well.
