Dirty Labs earns strong reviews for effective, enzyme-powered cleaning that tackles odors and many stains while remaining nontoxic, hypoallergenic, and packaged in recyclable aluminum. Reviewers praise refined scents like Magnolia/Bergamot/Cedar, Murasaki, and Jasmine/Matcha/Vetiver and the ultra‑concentrated, cold‑water formula, but cite drawbacks: occasional weak scent longevity, messy sticky caps, easily lost silicone beakers, and mixed performance on heavily soiled or dingy whites.

I love the fact that one little cap of this stuff cleans a whole load of laundry. I just wish the amazing scent was just a little bit stronger. I’m probably in the minority, but I like opening the dryer and smelling like essential oils. Otherwise, this stuff packs a punch! I bought one in each scent, and I love them both!

Best smelling detergent! I use such a small amount and it cleans my full load. Even clothes dirtied by my Labrador Retriever!

I've been using dirty labs for a couple years now! They are fantastic! All of their products smell and work amazingly well! They also have the best unscented stuff too. My partner and I are both chefs, so we always have all forms and sorts of stains. Dirty labs always removes and lift them from our chef jackets with few problems. Their detergent is great by itself, but in combination with the Stain remover+Booster, it really works well to remove stains and odors. Their dishwasher detergent is also fantastic, and is one of the only eco friendly brands that actually work well. I've tried several others and each time I feel like they either are not very powerful, or leave behind a film or something. Dirty labs always leave my dishes clean and shiny! Their scents are also amazing by themselves too, I even have their candle! If you need a product that actually works, and also happens to be both eco friendly, and non toxic, Dirty Labs is without question a good Brand!

The products are devastatingly good - I say devastating because they’re generally pretty pricey. I do feel like they have innovative formulations, so I do like to purchase when there’s a sale and justify it by saying I’m paying to support innovation. The one product that particularly made me sad was the Liquid Dish Soap. I purchased to try this one out with low hopes, and was sadly proven very wrong. The dish soap is so good. Not a dealbreaker but just a note - when your laundry is fully dry, the scent will fade. This actually doesn’t bother me at all since I like my clothes smelling neutral, but just a note for those who are expecting a fragrant pile of dry laundry. I’m only docking one star purely because of the price point. Based on the marketing, I don’t think that it’s meant to be seen as a luxury brand, so the price point doesn’t seem fully justified. I understand it’s a small company, so they’re probably pricing their products this way to recoup their research costs, but I hope we can see some price decreases as they expand.

I've used this detergent for about a year now. I like how compact it is and how little I have to use, I have a small laundry space and prefer how little space it takes up. It does a great job of cleaning and keeping our workout clothes smelling fresh.

Smells great and clothes are very clean. Bonus that it is environmentally friendly
So happy to have tried Dirty Labs! I picked a bottle up from Whole Foods and the Murasaki scent is SO nice! I had just come back from a 10 day vacation and really needed some stinky stuff washed and it did the trick. I like how effective it cleaned for such a small container. I can't wait to try the other scents!

Everyone loves the signature scent!!! HOWEVER, the murasaki scent is slept on 🛏️🛏️, The signature scent is much more woodsy and musky to me. The murasaki scent smells like an elegant floral perfume. When I wash my clothes with the murasaki scent, people stop to ask me what perfume I am wearing ( best feeling ever). Aside from the scents, the detergent works wonders and I love that I can recycle the packaging. A little goes a long way. I have also tried the enzyme and its a savior if you dont know how to properly do white laundry. get it get it get it now 🧼🫧🫧🫧🫧 also the stickers in each order 🫡 thanks!
I was hesitant to try this because of how little detergent you need per load, but it has worked great! The scent is A+ and I like that it doesn't take up much space in the laundry room. The coated aluminum has a cool feel and is more eco-friendly. We are already on our 3rd bottle!

I wouldn't mind a bigger bottle just to help cut back on waste and more scent options.
I waited until I had washed two loads, but I guess I didn’t think much of the scent and it’s overall quality was fine.

I've tried both the Laundry and Dishwashing products. Both work well in terms of cleaning, for green products they are among the most effective. Very very subtle scents. The downside is the packaging of both is terrible, very messy. Almost always some powder ends up on my countertop and/or floor, and the liquid detergent bottle is always sticky with drips. I continue to buy because its so effective, but I removed a star for packaging issues throughout the line.

I didn’t love the smell for the price point. Ended up returning because it smelled too strong and I knew it would irritate my skin.
As long as you aren't hoping to clean any heavily-soiled garments, you'll be satisfied. The concentrated formula allows for the sleek packaging, a big plus for apartment-dwellers like myself!
Such an amazing detergent, wish it was lighter!
This is my favorite detergent! It smells SO GOOD! Lasts a while and is super cost-efficient.

Love both scented laundry detergents and the dishwasher powder. I get complements on the smell of my laundry all the time.

I'm in love! I can't express how much I like this detergent. It's got everything! Effective cleaning, very nice recyclable packaging, small footprint, and the little silicone cup is great! I got both the fragrance-free and the scented detergent, and while I haven't tested it much yet (I find myself occasionally allergic to scented detergents), I like that the fragrance is light, just enough to freshen up some of the stinkier items in my home like dog beds and bath mats. Very happy with Dirty Labs and will definitely be reordering.
I found this brand randomly when I fell into a Google hole about enzyme cleaners and ordered the detergent in the Magnolia, Cedar, Bergamot scent and the booster. First off, it smells SO GOOD. I would buy so many products in this scent 🤌🏻 the bergamot and cedar give it a fresh, clean, almost masculine smell but the magnolia gives a bit of sweetness that helps to keep it more neutral. I am so eager to smell the other scent now. One of the biggest reasons I was looking for a new detergent was because the basic detergent pods I was using from Costco was leaving soap scum marks on all my clothes no matter what I did and while I like Tide powder, which also has enzymes, I feel like it's too harsh for some of my clothes, so I only use it for towels and sheets. So far, I'm very pleased. No soap scum marks, and my clothes feel clean. (Please note, I haven't test it on difficult stains, I don't have children that really put those kinds of things to the test!) I love how the scent gently lingers for a day or two after washing as well. As someone who has lived in the city and very, very tiny apartments, the concentrated formula & small bottle is also great. As far as downsides go, I don't really have any. Of course, it's definitely more expensive than regular detergents, but I think it's better quality product and the packaging is much better than most as well. I see a lot of complaints online about the packaging being messy but I'm not sure how it's any more messy than regular laundry detergent. If anything, because of it's small size, it's been much easier for me to keep clean rather than the giant jugs of detergent which I've had leak all over in the past. This will definitely be my new go-to detergent, I hope they come out with more scents or more products in their line with the scents 🤞🏻
I hate all the plastic that laundry detergent uses - those huge heavy bottles, the pods (even the “eco” ones leach microplastics into water), the eco sheets that aren’t really eco. And while I line the smell of fresh laundry, I don’t care for the toxins that come with fragrance. The Dirty Labs comes in an aluminum bottle (yay!) and the Marsaki has an incredible scent -truly. Now if they could just reduce the price- it’s concentrated so a little goes a long way, but I still seems to finish it pretty quickly.
