  • Refined, light signature fragrances

  • Messy, sticky cap and beaker

Dirty Labs earns strong reviews for effective, enzyme-powered cleaning that tackles odors and many stains while remaining nontoxic, hypoallergenic, and packaged in recyclable aluminum. Reviewers praise refined scents like Magnolia/Bergamot/Cedar, Murasaki, and Jasmine/Matcha/Vetiver and the ultra‑concentrated, cold‑water formula, but cite drawbacks: occasional weak scent longevity, messy sticky caps, easily lost silicone beakers, and mixed performance on heavily soiled or dingy whites.

  • Love the small concentrated bottle and ingredients

  • I am very impressed with my first uses of Dirty Labs. I really enjoy the eco-friendly packaging and less water used in the formula. It's efficient and feels really effective- I had some dirty loads that came out feeling fresh and clean after using this. I think I'm a convert!

  • I finally decided to give this detergent a try when I ran out of my regular target bought detergent. I try to be as environmentally conscious as I can, so I was really happy to hear that this was a sustainable product. I also love that you only need two tsp per load of the detergent. Reasons I like it so far- - sustainable - no harsh chemicals (I have been hearing a lot about how there are a lot of added chemicals that are actually really bad for you and your health longterm from the big laundry detergent brands, like tide) - no added dyes (again, tide has a lot of added dyes that are super bad for you) - small and easy to store (not like the huge jugs you typically see) - only requires two tsp per load - great and different scent (no chemicals that are used for the scents too) - can be used as a stain remover downside- you have to order it online and wait for it to be shipped (which can be inconvenient if you need detergent right away) I'm always nervous about using different detergents because I have sensitive skin and in the past I would have allergic reactions from some detergents. I have now been using this detergent for two weeks and have not noticed anything bad. I definitely recommend trying this detergent. For sure my new go to detergent.

  • First off, I'll be honest that I have no idea how to measure a laundry detergent's efficacy. If a stain doesn't come out in the wash, I assume it's my fault for dripping ketchup on my new white shirt or letting my bike chain rub against my khakis on the ride home from work. That being said, Dirty Labs detergent seems to work as it should. Beyond that, though, they are doing everything right in my eyes. I love how informative their site is and their transparency around ingredients and sustainability choices they've made. The packaging is beautiful and I don't feel like I need to hide the product in a cabinet like I would a certain orange plastic jug. I like that the product is ultra concentrated, meaning a very small amount is required for each wash. The product lasts deceptively long. Most importantly, the SMELL. Their scented detergent is the best smelling detergent I've ever smelled. It smells like a premium candle, not a can of febreze. This is absolutely the best part and is worth every penny.

  • They are expensive but I love Dirty Labs products. I have been hearing about the questionable chemicals in my usual laundry products so I was researching other options and I came across this brand. The detergent I tried was very effective at cleaning my laundry and did not leave any residues. I love a nice smelling laundry so I love how they use safe fragrances in their products and the murasaki detergent smells very lovely, like a fancy perfume. The bottle does seem a little small compared to the big jugs of detergent I’m familiar with but its a concentrated product so they last a lot longer than you expect.

  • I liked Dirty Labs for the fact that they are nontoxic and biodegradable. I unfortunately like the scent of my current detergent too much to switch!

  • When people say "my clothes have never been cleaner" it always felt like a scam -- until now. Seriously, my clothes are so clean! Scents are mild and natural, plus there's an unscented if it's not your vibe. Love the detergent, love the recyclability, love the deep clean my clothes are getting. This is my new default detergent.

  • Can't entirely discern the difference from an overall clean laundry perspective. That being said I guess it is good that it is nontoxic.

  • Solid laundry detergent! I like that it’s clean and nontoxic for my clothes since I live in them!! The amount in the bottle isn’t much for the cost. A larger number of loads per bottle would be helpful.

  • I think the detergent cleaned my clothes really well! It’s a powerful concentrated formula, for sure. However I didn’t love the scent– a bit too floral for me. Cedar and bergamot alone without the magnolia would’ve been perfect!

  • Absolutely love how good my clothes smell, while the product is good for me and good for the planet. Saw a TikTok about the brand and wanted to try it, now I've been loving it. I used code THEBRANDBLUEPRINT for 10% off my order for anyone else wanting to try the brand.

  • I am definitely a fan of this laundry detergent by Dirty Labs. Not only does it smell great and is wonderful for the planet, but it is also gentle on my clothes and skin. It is safe to use and has no harsh chemicals that would be irritating for me and my family. While it is on the pricey side, I do feel like it is worth it for all of the benefits it offers environmentally and from a health and safety perspective! We will continue to buy this detergent!!

  • I discovered Dirty Labs when they first launched and was able to snag a trial promo for the bundle of a non-scented and scented detergent. My partner and I both stand by these products – they're able to treat tough smells and stains (his hockey gear) and also be gentle and effective on my delicates. I really like the concentrate concept, especially for a small NYC apartment, it's easy to store in a bin with our other laundry supplies. I've personally shopped the sales since it's on the pricier side with how often my partner does laundry, but I do think it's worth every penny. I even got my MIL hooked on it and she buys the XL sizes. Update: we just purchased the dishwasher powder since other clean brands weren't cutting it and only 1 scoop is doing an INCREDIBLE job in our very not-fancy dishwasher! we will definitely be getting a subscription for this product. the price point is comparable to other non-bulk purchased dishwashing pods and with an initial 15% off or subscription price it's even better. dirty labs does it again! I really love the company's mission and the quality of the products! – a loyal customer

  • Great product it uses phytolase an advanced enzyme cleaning technology and precision targets stains and odors while being gentle with your clothes. They use clean ingredients and you will love this detergent your clothes will thank you!

  • I tired the Magnolia/Bergamot/Cedar scent which I thought was underwhelming, I wish I could've tried the other one as well. A lot more expensive than the typical detergent but does the job regardless, I probably wouldnt purchase again mostly because of the price point.

  • The enzyme powders for both the dishwasher and laundry are hands down the best cleaning products I’ve used. I am less confident about the liquid detergent for laundry but I have no complaints. My go to currently is to use store brand liquid detergent with the enzyme powder and my clothes are clean and fresh. Highly recommended. They’ve improved their packaging in recent months by reducing the size of the wooden spoon but I do hope they continue to improve it.

  • Just started using this product after seeing it on this site. And my clothes are not only clean but smell amazing as well. I did buy the enzyme breakdown as well as cleaning solution.

    Maybe add a spot treater.

  • I'm a fan of this concentrate. I got the Magnolia, Bergamot, Cedar scent. It smells great and more luxurious/interesting than the typical laundry detergent. The scent is not overpowering, which I appreciate. The bottle has lasted me a long time and cleans the clothes well. I also appreciate the bottle being metal, which means it's more likely to be recycled.

I sometimes get drips spilling over the bottled from the cap, and making a mess. I try to be conscious of putting everything up neatly, but it's not full proof.

  • Love this product. My laundry came very clean and had a slight smell but nothing over powering. I appreciate that the packaging is not plastic and I like the silicon measuring cap.
