Dirty Labs earns strong reviews for effective, enzyme-powered cleaning that tackles odors and many stains while remaining nontoxic, hypoallergenic, and packaged in recyclable aluminum. Reviewers praise refined scents like Magnolia/Bergamot/Cedar, Murasaki, and Jasmine/Matcha/Vetiver and the ultra‑concentrated, cold‑water formula, but cite drawbacks: occasional weak scent longevity, messy sticky caps, easily lost silicone beakers, and mixed performance on heavily soiled or dingy whites.

  • I like the sustainable aspect of this brand. It doesn’t clean my clothes better than what I previously used, but I like how the packaging is recyclable, and if you get the bundles, it comes with a dispenser.

  • I’ve been using Dirty Labs for a while now, and it’s honestly one of those products I didn’t realize I’d care this much about until I tried it. The first thing I noticed—and appreciated immediately—was the lack of artificial perfume smell. So many detergents and dish soaps try to mask “clean” with overwhelming fragrance, and Dirty Labs does the opposite. Everything just smells neutral and actually clean, which I especially love for clothes, towels, and baby items. Performance-wise, it genuinely delivers. My laundry comes out fresh and soft, even with tougher loads, and I’ve been impressed with how well it handles everyday stains without needing extra products. The dish detergent is just as solid—cuts through grease easily, rinses clean, and doesn’t leave that weird residue some eco brands do. What really seals it for me, though, is the convenience. The packaging is thoughtful, easy to use, and mess-free. The dosing is straightforward, the products last a long time, and it feels like they’ve actually designed everything for real life—not just aesthetics. I also like knowing I’m using something that’s more environmentally responsible without sacrificing effectiveness. Overall, Dirty Labs strikes a rare balance: minimal scent, excellent cleaning power, and a genuinely convenient experience. It’s one of the few household brands I’ve fully switched to and don’t see myself going back from.

  • I am very happy with this product and now am using it full-time for all my laundry needs. Most importantly, I feel safe and confidant I am utilizing a non-toxic product and the fragrance smells fantastic and is naturally derived.

  • The look and feel of Dirty Labs is amazing. I love that the products are more eco-friendly than traditional laundry detergents and dishwasher detergents (by using less water and plastic.) The laundry detergent is just okay - we used it for a “quick wash” and the clothes came out smelling a bit odd. It works on a full wash cycle, but just not on a short cycle. The dishwasher detergent works great!

  • The items arrived well-packaged—minimal but secure. The candle smells amazing, and I can’t wait to use it during the cooler months! The dish soap works great. I chose the unscented version and use it as directed to clean my dog’s food and water bowls.

  • Chic and Effective Dish Soap There’s something no one tells you when you switch to “clean” dish soap: suddenly you’re using half the bottle just to get through a single sink of dishes. Healthier, yes. Effective? Rarely. Dirty Labs is the first brand that’s broken that curse. The moment I pumped their Bio Enzyme Dish Soap it felt different. The texture is -light, and the scent, a blend of yuzu, geranium, and lemon balm, is nothing short of spa-level. (An aside: I am obsessed with anything yuzu.) Most importantly: a tiny drop actually works. One pump cuts through grease the way the old toxic formulas used to minus the endocrine disruptors and the eye-watering synthetic fragrance. The secret is Dirty Labs’ proprietary Phytolase® enzyme technology, which cleans intelligently and efficiently without the usual scrubbing marathon, even in cold water. This is dishwashing elevated: biobased, biodegradable, nontoxic, and genuinely high-performance. A rare moment when the “cleaner” choice is also the better one. Dirty Labs didn’t just reinvent dish soap. They reinvented the entire expectation.

  • I was ordering my clean laundry and dish detergent’s from Canada… an Australian brand Bondi Wash was my fav but due to tariffs I no longer have the option 😰 I was eager to try Dirty Labs because it’s accessible and clean! I ordered the best selling scent in the Signature Bio Laundry Detergent, Bio Enzyme Laundry Booster, and Aestival Bio Enzyme Dishwasher Detergent in Yuzu, Geranium, Lemon Balm. The scents are all great, not too strong. A little goes a long way! The laundry booster WORKS. Love that it’s safe for colors and whites. I stopped using bleach but was the only thing that worked to get my whites white, see video for impressive clean.

  • The packaging for these are truly plastic free and lovely. The powder didn't make a mess in shipping since there is a metal liner that fits snugly and holds the wooden spoon. I really appreciate these details. I'll definitely keep using the toilet cleaner--simple, easy to use! It foamed quickly and made it feel like it's working. I'm not totally sure about the dishwasher powder. Perhaps this is an issue of our dishwasher but the powder never got fully dissolved and leaves a lot in the dispenser. This happens with pods and the compressed powder tablets too which is why I was hoping this would work better. I didn't notice a big difference in how clean our dishes were but it wasn't worse. I think I'll keep using it for a while though. Lastly, I've been using the wool wash for cleaning my sweaters in a sink. I never use the silicone cup, I just plop a tiny bit in the sink. Again, I don't notice a big difference in the cleaning from other products but given the eco friendlier nature of this brand it will definitely be in our rotation.

  • I’ve been using Dirty Labs Signature scent laundry detergent along with the scent oil, and I am genuinely impressed. I love that the formula is non-toxic and safe for my family, which gives me peace of mind. But what really surprised me is how amazing it smells. The scent is clean, modern, and not overpowering, just a beautiful, subtle freshness that lasts. My clothes feel clean, soft, and cared for without any harsh chemicals. It’s the perfect blend of performance and thoughtful ingredients.

  • Thrilled about this laundry product: the detergent itself works very, very well. Adding the laundry booster whitened sheets (at standard temperatures), and towels looked as if they’d been through a ‘stripping’. I love the scent of the detergent but it doesn’t survive the addition of the booster. The fragrance to add to dryer balls is a little too expensive. Erlenmyer flask nice but not strictly necessary. Silicone measuring beaker very useful, but perhaps it could be offered for free with a certain quantity of an order?

  • I can totally vouch for this stuff — it really does get rid of odors! I’ve always used it to give my laundry a little extra boost, but recently realized just how well it actually works. We adopted a rescue dog (and he’s a bit stinky right now while his skin clears up 😅). I washed his towels and bed with regular detergent, but they still smelled. Then I remembered this booster — ran another load, added a scoop, and boom — no more stink! Everything came out super fresh. It does have a slight kickback so just make sure not to enhale too close to the powder!

  • I ordered the starter set that included detergent, enzyme booster, a glass dispenser pump, and dryer balls ($40 + tax, free shipping). It's definitely a great deal compared to how much these items would cost individually from the website. Of course, on it's own $28 for 80 loads worth of laundry detergent is a high price (slightly less in the autoship bundle), comparable to Tide Free & Gentle which is roughly $16 for 80 loads (which I would likely stretch to way more). Regardless of the price I do think it's VERY CONVENIENT to 1)buy all laundry products together from the same place and 2)have confidence these products are sustainable/effective/ethical/not bad for my skin. That being said, I don't really notice the scent from the detergent on my clothes which is a little disappointing, so maybe will add some of their essential oil droplets next time. I do think it's worth the cost to feel clean/smell nice! I also don't really like the flask, you have to pump it so many times to get the full amount of detergent needed for a large load and I would rather just pour from the container. I'll probably continue to use Dirty Labs for the time being, it definitely adds a little luxury to doing laundry which I didn't know I needed but I enjoy it! And everything fits neatly into my little Ikea laundry gear basket which is great :)

  • I am new to this brand and my first impression is that it’s a great alternative to the big brand laundry detergents. I am super sensation to scents and soaps and I can already notice a difference after washing my sheets one. I suggest giving this brand a try!

  • This stuff works SO well on your stinkiest, sweatiest, workout gear. I washed our mountain biking shammies with this set and it took the funk out that I've struggled with getting rid of for years. I love how it smells and how concentrated it is. A little goes a long way. Measuring cup to show you really how much you need. No mess involved that you typically get with other liquid detergents.

  • Cleans my dishes. That's a win on it's own. It also smells delightful and I love that it's an enzymatic cleaner. It makes me feel a little more eco friendly and "clean" without sacrificing effectiveness!

  • Dirty Labs is one of those brands I’ve had my eye on for a while. A few years ago, I actually made a long list of laundry detergents I wanted to test (literally over 15!! My friends were on the edge of their seats waiting for another laundry assessment to drop) and Dirty Labs was on it. I finally tried it to see if it could top my current favorite, and honestly, it impressed me! The brand stands out for being ingredient-conscious and non-toxic, but what really drew me in were the details. Their packaging is made from recyclable aluminum bottles (plus refill options), which feels thoughtful without being performative. They also use their own proprietary Phytolase® enzyme technology, which supposedly targets stains and odors while still being gentle on skin and fabrics. And (kinda most of all) I appreciated that they’re certified by the National Eczema Association. I don’t have eczema, but since I do have rosacea, I’ve noticed eczema-friendly products often work well for me too. I tried two detergents: Signature and Murasaki. The Signature scent is easily my favorite. It smells clean but dimensional, like soap (def soapy) with warmth and grounding and a bit of sweet. The bergamot gives it a bright lift, the magnolia adds a soft sweetness, and the cedar grounds everything without feeling heavy or musty (aka not too much cedar). It’s the kind of scent that feels like fresh laundry from a fancy boutique hotel where you’re kinda picking up on something that smells different and unique. Murasaki, on the other hand, leans floral and green. I mostly pick up the jasmine and the earthy vetiver, not so much the matcha. It’s still pleasant, just a bit more aromatic than what I usually want my laundry to smell like. I would pass on this one for myself. Both formulas are concentrated, which I love. A little really goes a long way, and my set came with a small silicone dispenser that makes it easy to measure out the right amount. The detergents left my clothes and sheets clean, soft, and lightly scented without any residue. The smell actually lingered on my bedding in the best way, fresh, not overpowering. Overall, Dirty Labs feels like a brand that truly balances clean science with sensory experience. I’ll definitely keep using the Signature and might test their stain performance next, but I’m already pretty sold on the formula. I don’t think it tops my favorite smelling detergent at this time, but I think this one is up there.

  • I ordered a bottle of the unscented laundry detergent to handwash some delicates in my sink. As a usual Tide Pod in washing machine girl, this was the perfect size for my use case. The aluminum bottle with silicone cap feels premium. As advertised, it is unscented. I feel like my clothes feel clean. All in all, exactly as I expected. Maybe -1 star for being pricey for the size of bottle.

  • I love this!! I was searching for a new detergent and I think I'll stick wit this one for a while. I'm so impressed by how little soap you actually need to clean your clothes, and the smell is wonderful (even with that little dose). I only wish the little silicon measuring cup that comes with it had some way of attaching to the bottle.

  • I'm so happy with all my purchases from Dirty Labs. The bio laundry detergents work well, and don't leave residue on my clothes. Fragrance free versions are available, but I chose the murasaki scent which is lovely and not too strong. I have a cat who sometimes has accidents when she gets scared, and combining the detergent with the laundry booster has worked wonders getting the scent out of fabrics. I love the brands sustainability mission, and the packaging both looks great and is compact, which is perfect for city apartments where storage space is limited. I appreciate that all the products include measuring cups/spoons. The liquid detergent comes with a little silicone beaker and the laundry boost powder includes a little wooden scoop. I didn't purchase one of the pump dispensers so I definitely would have struggled to measure the liquid without it. The only draw back is the price, but overall I think it's a good cost per load of laundry. Since the products are concentrated, you only need a small amount per wash which makes the bottles last a long time.
