Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

Banza is a great “healthy” pasta! I first received the product through a coupon, but have since been purchasing it through Costco. Banza has great ingredients and the kids love the texture so I cannot complain!

I love this pasta. It doesn’t give me that oh I ate too much pasta I’m so bloated and feel gnarly feeling. I feel healthy and actually recharged after eating it which is so refreshing. Who knew pasta can be healthy?
Banza pasta is… fine. I love the idea — high protein, gluten-free, made from chickpeas — and nutritionally, it’s a win. It’s a great option for anyone trying to cut back on traditional carbs or up their fiber and protein intake. That said, the texture takes some getting used to. It’s a bit grainy and tends to get mushy fast if you overcook it even slightly. The flavor is also a little earthy, which doesn’t always play well with every sauce. It’s not a bad alternative, and I’ll keep it in the pantry for quick, healthy meals. But it’s not quite a one-for-one sub for traditional pasta — more like its healthy cousin you call when you're being good.
I like that Banza is made from chickpeas but it can be bland.
These are so delicious. We now only eat these noodles. They are healthier and you feel good after. The texture and taste are amazing and they are higher quality than most others I have found. It definitely has a better taste and is packed with protein, making it an ideal choice for meal preps.

I like the clean ingredients and high protein content. It tastes just like regular pasta. Even my husband likes this brand, and he is a picky eater. Price is not bad either, and who doesn’t like a healthier choice?
What I love most is how versatile Banza is. The pasta comes in all kinds of shapes, perfect for any dish, and the mac & cheese is creamy and rich, but with a much lower carb content. Plus, the rice and pizza are fantastic for quick, nutritious meals without sacrificing flavor.

A little pricey but worth it-the brand's mission is great (sustainability + health) and they are quality (just one example: Banza is one of the first companies to obtain The Detox Project’s CleanScan certification. In order to receive the certification, our products must show non-detectable test results for over 400 pesticides, including glyphosate)

So chickpeas. Its ok. Easier to digest for sure. Beans are on that high FODMAP spectrum for me, but chickpeas aren't too bad. Especially chickpea flour that becomes pasta. Beats Barilla for sure, but it can't beat Barilla's price.
I am trying to reduce gluten in my diet so I was excited to come across this brand. I am personally not a fan of the taste, smell and texture of the pasta. It definitely has a very slight sourness of a chickpea and the texture is a little grainy. I personally prefer rice pasta.
This should be pasta is great for people who want to avoid refined, pastas or foods and just be healthier. Overall I love how these have higher fiber and protein content in them as well. Just make sure you don’t overcook them and they’re perfect.

I enjoyed these noodles, I have only tried the penne pasta, but I enjoyed them!
It’s more grainy than I’d like. I much prefer the red lentil and pea based pastas. Those are smoother
I always want to increase my protein and fiber intake. This product isn’t the best taste or texture wise. Then I read about the amount of glyphosate they spray on the chickpeas that go into making Banza. At that point it’s a safety concern.

I see them all the time in Whole Foods so I decided to give them a try one day. It's definitely a new experience for me, the chickpea texture is quite interesting, it's its own thing, not trying to emulate the common flour-based pasta.

This is a great chickpea pasta brand. It boils really easily like regular pasta and cooks for about the same time so it’s convenient. The texture and flavor aren’t too different from regular pasta either
Great tasting good quality great macros. High protein and high fiber along with good cooking and comes out great and good like normal pasta. Better than really. Little more expensive but it’s to be expected. Excited to see this brand grow.

Banza was pretty good overall. It has a nice flavor and a solid pasta alternative, but the texture was a bit tough even after cooking it well. I’d eat it again, just not my go-to because of its toughness.
This brand is a pretty good brand it has a decent taste is easy to cook and a healthier option than other pastas or pizzas
As a gluten-free gal, I am always happy to see new options available. I've only tried the pasta so far, but I really enjoyed it! I also am a big chickpea fan, so it's really the best of both worlds. It is a little more expense than the brand I currently buy, but I'd like to try some of the other products.
