Reviews mention

  • Chic, minimalist aesthetic design
  • Soft, matte tactile finish
  • Portable, travel-friendly gear
  • Comfortable, adjustable bangles
  • Limited, lightweight size range
  • Occasional itchy velcro closure
  • Inconsistent fit for small wrists
  • Bunching discomfort during sweat

Bala earns largely positive reviews for stylish, well-made workout accessories that make low‑impact routines, walks, and at‑home sessions feel more engaging and effective, with standouts like Bala Bangles, Bars, the Power Ring, and Beam praised for comfort, soft matte texture, and easy travel/storage. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: limited weight ranges (mostly light), occasional discomfort or slippage and itchy Velcro during intense or sweaty use, sizing issues for small wrists, and mixed durability on stitching/Velcro—making them better for gentle resistance than heavy strength training.

  • I am obsessed with my Bala bangles. I keep them on during the day when I’m doing tasks around the house or even at my desk when I’m working. They’re so easy to put on and also so aesthetically pleasing. I’m really happy with them and they’re definitely the best weighted bangles on the market! They also have a very convenient carrying case that fits them perfectly and isn’t bulky. Obsessed with them and recommend them to all of my friends!

  • I have had my pink bala weights for probably 3 years now and they are still in great shape. The elastic is still strong and the velcro still sticks perfectly. I also like the travel case that they come in!

  • Super! Me he cmprado el Power Ring 5 kg.

  • I've always wanted to find a brand with fitness gear that was aesthetically pleasing. I love the look and feel of Bala products. They have a variety of color options as well. I wish there were some more weight options.

I wish the weights weren't so expensive and the velcro on the arm/ankle weights was a little stronger.

  • I fell in love with bala’s equipment at my local studio, so much that I built my own at home gym from bala. Everything is colorful, cute and aesthetically pleasing—while being proper weights for a great pilates workout or any other activity. As a Pilates instructor, I adore everything from bala.

  • I wear the 1 lb weights around each wrist when I do water aerobics and I love them. They do not seem to mind getting wet and are still going strong after two years of use.

The 1 lb weights are perfect as they are. I would like to see them come out with 2 lb weights.

  • I love my Bala Bangles and bar weights. They feel perfect for my fitness level and are super easy to use. I usually just follow a TikTok arm workout, and they’re the perfect amount of weight to make it feel effective without being too much

  • I was gifted a set of this last year. Sleek, comfortable, and stylish for my walks. I love them. They don't slip around and not too heavy. Plus, I have the pink color and fun. They also come with a nice zip pouch case for storage. They are great for travel too. Great Gift.

  • I got these Bangles as a gift from my husband and I absolutely love them! They are super practical for exercising — easy to use and comfortable, but still effective. The quality feels great and durable, and on top of that, they look really cute, which makes me even more motivated to wear them.

  • I got the weighted bangles for my gf a year ago and she loves them. I'll admit I've worn them a few times myself :). They look good and are comfortable. More so than some others I've tried. I did have a problem with them being backlogged originally but the CX team helped me out!

  • I got the bala bands right before they redesigned them. The first version works great, but the velcro gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. I'd be interested in trying the updated version.

  • Aesthetically, these are hands down the cutest hand and ankle weights out there. They look so cute - not weird at all to wear them out and about. Yes, they were a bit more expensive than other weighted brands, but I felt like it would be worth it. Why I am giving it 3/5 stars- they were incredibly uncomfortable for me. They were too large for my wrists (I do have tiny wrists) and they were painful on my ankles. I'm kind of bony, so that's probably why. I'm glad to see they're comfortable for other people!

  • I coveted these since seeing women wearing them in my Pure Barre classes. I was lucky enough to be gifted two sets of the 2-pound weights by family for my birthday. I chose the tan/nude color and two-sets so I could wear them on my ankles and wrists both in classes and during neighborhood walks. At first, you feel really awkward wearing them and have to adjust your movements to not overcompensate, but within minutes you easily are able to focus on your natural movements while feeling the light additional weight. They are comfortable and being a petite person I was worried they wouldn't fit, but the wrap around velcro is plenty so they are snug. They come in a cute mesh zipper carrying case and are easy to put on and take off. While they are quite expensive compared to other brands, they definitely are the sleekest and most minimal. I try to keep them out of the sun and getting exposed to any chemicals/liquids (like pool water or lotion) so I can preserve the look and their finish as best as possible. They cost a premium, but they are worth it.

  • I love these as a product, but I feel like I bought them more because they look hot and are fun. I use them occasionally when I do yoga routines, but not as much as I'd like to use them because they sit at this weird inbetween weight. Over time, as you get stronger as well, sometimes they aren't heavy enough. But they feel amazing and they look amazing and are easy for yoga and light weight routines.

  • Is it even a hot girl walk if you don’t have your bala bangles on? Attractive, comfortable, trendy. Adds an extra little arm workout to any walk. I love them, but I do think they are over priced

  • The Bala Bangles do the job for the most part, but some functionality may have suffered from the enhanced design. They look very cute and I look stylish doing The Pilates Class with them on but noticed when doing a more intense workout the elasticity will actually cause the velcro to come undone. The texture is soft and has a good selection of colors.

  • Really on-trend fitness product. I have the sliders, which are not the primary seller, but they work well. I don’t see myself buying the bangles as I prefer lifting weight at the gym.

  • I liked the quality and feel of the ankle weights but after using these for about a week I realized I could have gone heavier so I would make sure you do your research there. Will definitely add to the collection since they're all so sleek looking.

  • I'm not great about using them, but when I do, I am a big fan. Sleek, visually appealing, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store… the list goes on. Plus, I love a pastel. Products: the wrist weights and 3 pound dumbbell-esque weights both in pink.
