Taika earns largely positive reviews for creamy, zero-sugar canned lattes and matcha that deliver a smooth, jitter-free lift, with macadamia milk, adaptogens (L-theanine, ashwagandha, lion’s mane), and standout flavors like Macadamia Latte, Mocha, and Matcha. Reviews also flag inconsistent texture (clumps/chunkiness), diluted or weak flavor—especially matcha—and occasional bitter or artificial-sweetener aftertaste, making performance and taste variable across cans.

Taika Black Coffee tastes very smooth, has low acidity like I would expect from a cold brew. The added ingredients are fine, but I didn't notice a difference to drinking other store bought cold brew black coffee.

I had the mocha taika coffee drink, and I enjoyed it. I liked that it tasted sweet without any extra sugar, and the taste was pretty good. I'm not sure about the macadamia nut milk, because there was a flavor that I didn't totally love in there.
Got the mateverse on Thingdrop and thought it was fine but I wasn't wowed. There are so many functional beverages on the market, and I'm not sure this one totally stands out. That said, I can always go for a refreshing bubbly beverage.
I've really been into trying beverages with adaptogens recently and Taika does not disappoint! Their Strawberry Matcha is my favorite - so refreshing. The best part - ZERO Sugar!
Great taste

I tried the macadamia latte made with macadamia nut milk. I've never tried a latte made with that kind of milk before. I normally like nut-based milks (like almond) but this drink wasn't for me. The texture was fine (even though the drink has pea protein which can give drinks a grainy texture sometimes). The flavor was just weird for me. My husband tried the drink and actually thought it was fine. I'd be up to try a different flavor from Taika. For $3 a drink, I think that's reasonable and the ingredients were "clean" and simple enough for my liking. I enjoy that Taika doesn't use Stevia as well

I tried the Mocha flavor and really liked it! It reminded me of the Rebel drinks. The flavor wasn't too strong and I didn't feel too much of a kick from the caffeine though. I would buy again and try the other flavors tbh!

It genuinely just does not taste good. Very watery taste.
so... chunky? clumpy? cute packaging won't buy me- it tastes like 😵💫
I love the Taika product and always look to try brands with adaptogens and other functional benefits. I've tried both the matcha latte and macadamia latte and enjoy the thicker consistency. That said, there is a slightly bitter taste that I don't personally love. Perhaps it comes from the MCT oil or the Ashwagandha in some varieties, but one of the ingredients does live a "bitter" taste in my mouth.

Tried Matcha and didn't love it. it doesn't taste fresh and also have a weird aftertaste that wasn't enjoyable.
Love that it is easy to take to go, and the idea of adaptogens in drinks is really cool too. I tried the matcha, and in the nicest way possible it was just a no. Maybe I was comparing it to matcha in Japan, which is great and obviously you can't expect it to taste that good. I also have had my fair share of macadamia nut milk in Hawaii which is also another reason I was drawn to Taika at the store, but the taste is really not there. I will consider trying another flavor.

This is for the Mateverse sparkling beverage. I liked the taste (sparkling unsweetened tea) but I didn't particularly experienced the mental/energy boost it advertises. I would buy again if it was cheaper, $4 a can for sparkling tea feels over-priced.
Feedback
The packaging is a bit confusing in terms of what you are to expect. Price seems a bit steep at $4 a can.

I tried the Mateverse. I'm a newbie to Yerba Mate, any time I've tried it I haven't loved the musky taste. This is light, fresh, citrusy. It gave a subtle lift, clarity and positivity. Coffee generally makes me anxious, this did not. I have since purchased a couple of cases, thats how happy with it I am.

The can is a little unclear, it has ingredients for two formulations... and then you look on the bottom of the can to know which formula is right for you. I don't consume much erythritol by choice so was disappointed at first that this trial had it - but then realized it did not. I'm hoping this is just a startup thing where they needed to commit to a can design early in the process before they know the formulation, and that the next round will have clarity.
