Stanley earns largely positive reviews for keeping drinks cold for hours, boosting daily water intake, and offering practical touches like a sturdy handle, straw, and cup‑holder‑friendly base—but reviews also flag frequent leaks when tipped, heavy bulk at 40 oz, occasional chipping/finish wear, and mixed performance versus competitors. Overall, Stanley is good for desk, car, and everyday hydration, but not ideal for travel or toss‑in‑bag use.

  • Not a big fan of this one! On the pro side: it does keep drinks cool for a while. I didn't find it kept them cooler any longer than any competitors though. Cons: It is HEAVY. Even when empty. Once you fill it up, it's a nuisance to carry. It spills when getting knocked over. I've seen additional products you can buy to prevent spills but I'd rather just have a cup that doesn't leak around the sides of the straw opening. (There is another brand that doesn't.) Overall: nothing special over its competitors.

  • I told myself I didn't need another tumbler. I have ~20 in my kitchen cabinets and they're rarely used. In a moment of weakness, I ordered the 40-oz Stanley tumbler in the beautiful Jade color. I couldn't be more obsessed. It fits in the cupholder in my car, it goes to bed with me, and everywhere in between. It's heavy-duty but not too heavy. As long as you put enough ice in it, it stays cold for days.

  • i love my stanley I drink a ton of water with it, i just wish there was a better leak proofing system

  • LOVE my Stanley cup. The handle makes this cup so much better than the yeti. It’s a high price point but the cups are made to last and keeps drinks very cold.

  • Love my Stanley mug!! Definitely lived up to all the hype. Keeps my drinks cold for hours and *bonus* fits in my cup holder in the vehicle!!

  • I love these cups. they are great for everyday use and hold lots of water. I use the one with the closed straw so that it doesn't leak as easily as the ones with the open straw.

  • This is our most used cup in our home! I originally purchased a Stanley when I was pregnant thinking that it would help me drink water throughout the day. It worked - and it continues to be my favorite cup after the baby! Each of our kids have their own Stanley's and I buy them all of the time as gifts for friends, teachers, and kids.

  • Trendy but there’s a reason for that. Once you start using it you won’t stop.

  • My grandpa has used Stanley since before I was born! We still have his old thermos cups, I loved seeing them make a comeback for my generation! They’ve become my new obsession, personally I like it better than the other competitors out there. Not only are the colors fun, but the large handle is easy access. My favorite are the IceFlow flip straw, personally I don’t like things flying on an open straw or what it could touch, so it makes it cleaner in my opinion.

  • I got one as a gift and it has been great so far, but the one I have is a little large. I don't love the straw but that is just personal preference. All in all good product but I slightly prefer Yeti.

  • I have the very popular 40z Stanley tumbler. I bought it because I needed a large water bottle at work. I like the simple aesthetic and that there are only a few components that come apart and are easy to clean. It’s just ok at keeping beverages cold. However the major issue I have is that the tumbler isn’t leakproof at all and it doesn’t fit in my car’s main cup holder. I have to store the tumbler in my car door and water constantly spills out when I hit a bump or take a wide turn. If I had to do it over again I wouldn’t buy the tumbler again because of this.

  • perfectly insulated cup that is easy to take on the go. I'm a sucker for a good water bottle with a straw, think it's worth the hype.

  • I have the 40oz Quencher 2.0 that TikTok pressured me into buying. It does keep my drink cold for a while and the ice takes a long time to melt but the 40oz is too bulky for me. It also spills really easily and as someone who doesn't drive and walks most places it is not practical. I gravitate towards others more.

  • I like how cold it keeps my drinks and the volume of water it holds but jeez does it leak!

  • I like my Stanley tumbler a lot more than I expected even though it was super hyped up on social media. It is a generous size and the 30oz is more than enough for me without being too heavy. The handle is solid, dishwasher safe, and keeps drink reasonably cool. Only issue is that the straw can get stained easily from lipstick, so be mindful!

  • I didn’t understand the hype over a water bottle until in a fit of pregnancy hysteria decided I need to have one. And let me tell you. It’s better than the hype! It really does keep your water colder for longer. And the straw does make you drink more. And it holds so much water. It really is just the best.

  • I love my Stanley; the handle is a game changer and sets this apart from other water bottles I've previously owned. Be warned, leaking is a definite downfall of this item. Better to carry it in hand then place it into your bag and get everything soaked.

  • I don’t own one personally but have gifted two tumblers and one wide base coffee mug, both insulated. They were well received and seem to give genuine utility!!
