Reviews mention

  • Tasty low‑sugar candies
  • Nostalgic flavor recreations
  • Bright, fruity flavor profiles
  • Convenient portioned packaging
  • Extremely sticky texture
  • Inconsistent chewiness firmness
  • Sweetener aftertaste lingering
  • Potential gastrointestinal discomfort

SmartSweets earns positive reviews for genuinely tasty, low‑sugar takes on nostalgic gummies like Sweet Fish, Peach Rings, Sourmelon Bites, and Red Twists; it satisfies cravings and often avoids “fake” sweetener aftertaste. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many candies are extremely sticky or tough, flavors can be inconsistent with occasional stevia/allulose aftertaste and GI upset, and portions feel small. Overall, SmartSweets is good if cutting sugar, but texture quirks and formula variability make it a compromise for purists.

  • I think smart sweets are delicious. I feel great when I eat them seeing the ingredients. I do wish that there wasn’t Stevia in them though. That’s my only one thing I would change about them. Otherwise, I think they’re great.

  • Great alternative of you can’t have sugar these definitely hit the spot

  • I just found my new favorite treat! 🍬 I’ve always had a soft spot for gummy worms, but SmartSweets has taken it to the next level. These little guys are packed with flavor and only have 3 grams of sugar per bag—how awesome is that? 🙌 I can enjoy them guilt-free while keeping up with my health goals. So happy to have discovered these deliciously smart candies that let me indulge without compromise. Who else loves a sweet snack that's both tasty and better-for-you?

  • I love these and so does my partner, who I would consider a connoisseur of sour candy. The sour patch versions pass the sour enough & sweet enough check, and they are a guilt free candy! If only these were the same prices as traditional candies, we'd probably eat them more often. I find them on sale pretty often though.

  • I think this is a great product theoretically but the texture is almost always not gummy enough and that is the worst part about these

  • Smart Sweets Peach Rings are my go-to snack when I’m craving something sweet! They’re perfectly chewy, bursting with fruity flavor, and taste just like traditional peach rings—but with way less sugar. It’s hard to believe these are actually a healthier option! I love that they’re plant-based, low in calories, and free from artificial sweeteners. The portion size is just right to satisfy cravings without overindulging. If you’re looking for a candy that’s delicious and better for you, Smart Sweets Peach Rings are a total win. Highly recommend for guilt-free snacking!

  • I really wanted to like this brand, especially with how much I eat gummy candy. The sugar alternative is so strong and I can't get past it. The after taste of the flavor makes it harder to keep eating. As well, they get stuck on my teeth which is a bit annoying.

  • I love SmartSweets. They really curb my appetite for candy and sugar without the guilt of eating a whole bag of super sugar candies. My favorite are the Swedish fish inspired ones but they are all good. They get stuck in your teeth a little bit but that’s expected of candy for me.

  • For lower sugar maybe these are good but in my opinion they’re sooo chewy and taste like artificial sweetener. I’ll never buy them again and I think the only people pushing them are being paid.

  • Not sour, and didn’t taste very good. Bummer

  • Honestly, I wasn't very impressed. The caramels tasted terrible, and the gummies were too chewy and severely stuck in my teeth. The gummy flavors were nice (I really liked the sourmelon bites), but it wasn't worth the effort because I couldn't chew through them quickly.

  • I actually love the sour watermelon and peach rings. Sadly they are a bit pricey to be a recurring purchase for me but I’ll throw them in my cart every so often. Beware they are a bit chewy in a weird way? I put mine in the fridge and they are perfect that way. I don’t care for a lot of the other candies they make - taste a bit artificial sweetener-y or get too stuck in your teeth.

  • I like the candy but I wish it was a little more clear about what is up with the sugar alcohol? I’d love to see blood sugar tests or something comparing it to regular candy.

  • Tastes comparable to popular candies but I do feel like if I want sweets, I would just be okay with the amount of sugar from classic candy. I do feel like it is quite pricey for how much you get but I may not be the exact target audience.

  • Yummmm! Tastes honestly just like other gummies and makes me feel less guilty. The only thing is the price. But it’s the price to pay for less guilt.

  • Great option for a sweet treat when trying to watch your sugar intake

  • Love these sweet treats. They are pricey so I only get them occasionally but it’s a great way to get your sweet fox without the guilt.

  • I didn’t think I would like the Peach Rings as much as I did. They were an impulse buy while checking out at the Silverlake Wholefoods, and I didn’t regret it. Texture is a little hard but to be expected, it’s “not bad for you” candy! Definitely going to be purchasing again and again and again!
