Seed earns polarized reviews: many report meaningful improvements in regularity, reduced bloating, and even clearer skin, while a sizable group sees no benefit—or experiences nausea, bloating, or stomach pain, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward education, chic reusable glass jars, and compostable refills, but flag issues like required subscriptions, breakable glass travel vials, and accusations of greenwashing or poor account management.

not to be dramatic but Seed has changed my life! Before taking these I was really struggling with an unbalanced gut - bloating, acne, etc. I’d tried probiotics before but after consistently taking these I noticed comfort in my gut and clearer skin and just a general better relationship with how I felt after eating. the subscription model is soooo easy and the travel containers make it impossible not to take your Seed with you!

Can't say I have noticed a difference from far cheaper probiotic products I have used for the last few years. Usually when I swap brands there is some difference in stomach comfort as the biome gets adapted in this case I noticed nothing. They're very good in terms of customer service, packaging is great and very green friendly with their refill packs. I think if they included some novel probiotics (akkermansia for example) which are not in common products I would feel more compelled to continue it. Its been 3 months, I'll likely finish out 6 months and call it quits if nothing else. Should I notice a difference switching away I'll append this review. That being said if you don't factor price at all it's a great product. Just not a great value.

Love the look and the feel. Looks so pretty on my nightstand, I never forget to take it in the morning. Usually, I feel like I need to hide all my ugly supplement bottles. It takes a bit to see results but I genuinely believe I've seen improvements in my system after taking it. Great experience with the shipping too. They recently launched a sustainable program where you can preorder 6 months' worth of the product and get a discount. Love that I don't need to think about it too much and be more sustainable as a result.

I've never been SO overwhelmed by a product's marketing before. I believed in my soul that this product MUST be a winner, so much so that I told a lot of my friends about it, only a couple weeks after I began taking it. The scientific-sounding research, so many health promises... I loved having the cute little glass vial to take on vacation last week, too! However, I was soon to be disappointed. I received my first shipment about 5-6 weeks ago. I've been an occasional user user of probiotics (my wife, much more so). I also take Juice Plus, a fruit and vegetable powder that contains acidophilus, and I am the most regular person I know. And my friends sometimes ask me why I look so young (I'm 58). I believe part of it, aside from drinking tons of water, is gut health. My stool flows VERY, VERY well. And my colon (per my last colonoscopy) is squeaky clean. When I saw the Seed ads, I figured, why not take it to an even higher level, right? I have been taking Seed every night, on an empty stomach as directed, before bed. All I can say is that I feel bloated, cannot each much food (always feeling full) and my stool is never regular now. I'm pausing Seed today and going back to my regular routine to see if I can get better. As for my wife, she also does not feel regular, and she also says she has been having strange and scary nightmares, almost every night, when taking it, so she also stopped. (After she did, the nightmares stopped.) The sad thing is I ordered a 3-month refill for each of us ($135 x 2), to be more economical and eco-friendly (shipping-wise). I was so convinced that the product MUST be good (the marketing is extraordinary!). But now I'm feeling a bit silly, and a little bit taken advantage of. Is it a thing that some strains of probiotics (and prebiotics) are just not for every person? Do I need a certain strain for it to be compatible with my body? (I have a call into Seed.com to ask questions. I'm so frustrated and bewildered.) I look forward to any feedback I can get on this. My wife, too. And soon I'll find out how my 23-yr old son likes it. He also ordered his own subscription. UPDATE: I got a call back from a very sympathetic and helpful customer service rep at Seed. She took copious notes about mine and my wife's detailed experiences and is passing it along to the scientists at Seed so they can respond to me with specific recommendations (by email). On top of this, she gave me a 50% refund for the 3-month supply we ordered, and said that if we end up deciding to fully discontinue using the product, she would refund the rest of it as well! Whatever concerns I had about Seed (aside from my body's results) were alleviated by her kindness. They seem to really care about their customers!

Marketing is spot-on, as EVERY person has laid out. Beautiful, ecological, smart. I read something somewhere that they did a couple clinical trials, but the results were not yet published. (I'm really curious what those results were!) Will they keep tweaking their strains until most folks feel better when taking it? For the price, and all the thinking/marketing/money they poured into this product, I expected much better. The CVS brand for half this cost per month works WAY better for me. And I'm sad about that. See my UPDATE above. Seed got back to me and was VERY accommodating in giving us a partial refund (so far) and is sharing my info with the scientists for more advice. I'm impressed with them as a company, even if the product does not work for me personally (so far).

Love this brand! It helped me get back on track and I personally like that it gets shipped to my house - makes it easier to be consistent! The packing is eco-friendly and I can compost the refill packs. The jar itself is pretty enough to leave out and I don’t have to refrigerate it!

I started off taking 2 pills for my system to adjust and now take 1 pill. (2 seemed too hard core for my body, but this also makes the one jar last awhile)

This is the first probiotic I have ever had that has given me a positive experience. I never noticed a difference with all the many other other brands I have tried over the years. I was diagnosed with IBS at age 35 and my gut is finally feeling healthy and I am now 54. I am not bloated or gassy. I have a strong immune system and have energy. Thanks to Seed.

I would not change a thing! I am on the subscription and have 3 months delivered at a time to save a bit of money. Packaging is environment friendly and attractive. I will be taking Seed forever.

I have been taking Seed now for over 30 days. I have a lot of food, vitamin sensitivities so I wasn't sure if these would work for me. As Seed suggested I started by taking 1 pill daily in the morning while my body adjusted to them. Since I am so sensitive to basically everything, I decided to give it a few extra days before bumping up to 2 pills. I have felt a difference since taking them. I am now going to the bathroom on a regular basis which in turn has helped with bloating. I haven't tried eating any of the food that I have sensitivities as of yet but maybe down the line. I was also able to continue taking them after a few weeks which is huge because when I have tried other brands of probiotics I end up sick and have to stop taking them all together. They are a little pricey but when you break it down its not as bad as some of the other brands. Their packaging is great! It includes reusable glass jar and a smaller travel jar. You can sign up for their subscription program where they send you 3 months at a time. If you are very sensitive and are weary about trying a probiotic I would try starting here! I feel like they have made a difference so I am going to continue taking them.

Top of the line; game changer and worth the investment.

Amazing, it has helped heal my gut and my bowel movements

I've been taking these probiotics for about 5 months. I was hooked when I first skipped a month and noticed my skin was breaking out and my digestion sucked; got back on these and things have been noticeably better. I LOVE the packaging, the ease in being able to travel with these, and the refill process with my subscription (super eco friendly packaging).

Been using Seed for years and really feel a different when I don’t take it. I do the subscription and it’s a good experience if I need to postpone for any reason. Plus they send them in pouches rather than multiple bottles so it’s more eco friendly. My mom also takes it and likes it!

I tried it for a couple of moonths and my digestion improved noticeably, and I felt less bloated and more regular. The packaging is beautiful and eco-friendly too. That said, I had some mild bloating and nausea during the first week, so I had to start with just one capsule a day. It’s effective and thoughtfully made, but not a miracle product. Worth trying if you can commit for a few months!

I love these. I have been taking them for a couple years now. They seem to really help and I like the refillable packaging! The only downfall is the price, they are pretty expensive. overall great product

One of my holy grail, desert island supplements. Not only is the branding and packaging gorgeous, but the product works exceptionally consistently well! I recommend Seed to everyone, especially in an over saturated wellness / supplement space where trustworthiness is difficult to parse. My only complaint is sometimes the refill pills arrive damaged / burst open, coating the rest with dust.

Really liked these! I did it for about a year then hard to understand if it's still beneficial so i cancelled cause its expensive.

Has anyone tried this before?
I came across this brand, and absolutely loved their website and branding and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this brand before? And if so, how was the results?

I’ve been using Seed for gut health for a few weeks, and I’ve already noticed a difference in my digestion and overall energy. The capsules are easy to take, and I appreciate the science-backed approach and clean packaging. It’s a bit pricier than some probiotics, but the quality feels worth it. No bloating, more regularity, and I feel like my gut is more balanced. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a serious probiotic

SEED IS HEALTH CONSCIOUS AND THEIR PROBIOTICS ARE SO GOOD AND BENEFICIAL TO YOU. I WOULD GLADLY PROMOTE THEM AS THEY ARE TOP NOTCH.
I really wanted this to work, but I got too nauseous after taking these. I read that there were side effects, but thought it was just my body getting used to the pills. My body never got used to it & I was not seeing any pros to taking them. The packaging & travel jar are very high quality, but I just couldn't get over the nausea.
Best probiotic out there! From prebiotics, to unique and studied probiotics, and a thoughtful capsule to travel safely through the digestion process... it's all around a wonderful product. Love the branding & it truly works. My gut is so balanced and feels wonderful!
