  • Engaging, charismatic instructors
  • Extensive, evolving class library
  • Sturdy, smooth ride hardware
  • Motivating, community-driven platform
  • Uncomfortable, rigid bike saddle
  • High, recurring membership fees
  • Occasional clunky software updates
  • Inconsistent hardware longevity

Peloton wins praise in reviews for motivating, studio-caliber classes, engaging instructors (Cody Rigsby, Alex Toussaint, Robin Arzón), seamless app breadth, and sturdy, smooth hardware that makes at‑home workouts convenient and habit‑forming; however, recurring membership costs are widely criticized, the bike seat comfort and occasional hardware maintenance issues recur, and some find the experience overrated or less effective than live classes. Overall, Peloton is good if you’ll use it consistently and value variety and community, but buyers should weigh subscription demands and ergonomics.

  • Our family loves the peloton bike! As road cyclists in the past, this is an engaging way to sweat your tush off and engage with others in class. Having a Peloton coach is incredibly important! And they are so fun! Since we can have multiple users it is cost effective!

  • a staple in our house, never had any issues, love the programming, affordable, engaging, convenient, wish cushion was a bit softer after all these years but otherwise this thing is great

  • Love that they continue to iterate on their product. Most recently, been loving the personalized weekly programs that Peloton creates for me.

  • It’s my sanctuary: sleek, motivating, and habit-forming. My daughter said that even post-baby fitness felt achievable. Pricey, yes, but I call it an investment in myself. If health is your number one priority, you will want to get ya one of these!

  • I love my peloton bike! Is sturdy, doesn’t take too much space, and helps me stay fit. I love the app and helps me stay consistent and motivated to work out. Only downside is the price. It took a lot of saving to afford this bike.

  • What's there to say about Peloton that hasn't already been said? It's the best. The monthly membership is super versatile, and not just for the bike. I like it for the HIIT workouts in hotel gyms and the ability to stack multiple types of workouts in a single session makes it really easy to get in a good sweat sesh.

  • My Peloton bik and the app were game changers for me during COVID and beyond. I was able to do quick and thoughtful workouts during my pregnancy as well and kept motivated by the app and the different options it offered.

  • I absolutely love my Peloton Bike+. I love how motivating and encouraging the instructors are. I also love the variety of classes I can take and the different music selections in each class I end up taking.

  • We had the chance to try the Peloton rental program during the pandemic and it was very easy and accessible, but I wish there was a “‘middle” subscription for it. The price was was had us return it unfortunately, and you can buy-out the bike eventually but that doesn’t save you too much with the way they have it priced, we just sent it back when we had it after a year or so.

  • Had one at work and loved it! I love spin classes but couldn't always make it so this was absolutely perfect. Even a 20-minute spin at lunch gave me a huge boost of energy.

  • I loved my Peloton Bike when shelter-in-place was in effect + the dynamism of certain instructors made the monthly subscription + upfront investment well worth it (TY Olivia, Tunde, Emma & Ben). However, the high recurring cost on a monthly cadence reduced value, especially as I ended up being the only user in the household.

  • Peloton has become my main source of cardio and strength training. The bike is incredibly high quality and the Peloton app provides a ton of class and program options from Pilates to Advanced Strength splits. I especially love the Bike Bootcamp classes, that incorporate strength and cycling into 30-60 minute sessions. Peloton also always has new surprises and beta programs coming out (i.e. This week they began beta-testing live stream entertainment, so I can watch movies and bike).

  • Peloton makes it easy to stay consistent with both movement and mindfulness. I use the bike for quick, energizing rides that actually make me look forward to cardio. On slower days, I lean into the guided meditations. The mediations are calming, and help me reset. It’s the only app that fits both my high and low energy days, and it’s made a real difference in how I feel overall.

  • When I think Peloton, I think pandemic. The two came into my life about the same time. We bought the Peloton, believing my partner and I would fight to see who got on first each day. Unfortunately, that was not our reality. Peloton has created a lifestyle fitness program that we can do at home. The workout videos were compelling and entertaining. A significant catalog of workouts is based on fitness level, ability, and strength. It is pleasantly competitive - competitive with oneself. Peloton has created a product that is easily to-based and has established user-friendly workouts; they have also created a niche that truly fits a loyal customer following. We both used ours for a couple of months, and then usage waned. Peloton had all the bells and whistles, but is unfortunately currently being used as a holding spot for laundry and dry cleaning.

  • Bought the Peloton Bike in 2020 and so far nothing but good things to say. In-home delivery, easy set-up, great user interface, and product features. The bike itself is well-made, very sturdy, and just so aesthetically pleasing. It's really a piece of art. I was never into cycling/spin classes but Peloton has me hooked. It really helps to explore the different instructors because there are so many options, you are bound to find a few that fit with your ambitions and personality. Beyond cycling classes, the membership has many different class categories. I'm a sucker for the non-yoga stretching classes and core strength classes. Easily the membership provides more value than the monthly cost.

No issues yet but the tablet the Bike uses is Android-based. After a year I have noticed a couple of glitches and slow-downs from time to time. It feels like the physical bike itself is going to outlast the tablet by a long shot and I'm worried about what replacing the screen/tablet will look like especially as Peloton releases newer versions of its products.

  • The cool buzz of the product has died down but I still enjoy the classes and going biking. I've started to get to know more of the instructors and taken other classes other than cycling!

  • I’ve had the bike+ for about 3 years and love it. The stats are great for keeping track of your performance. Rides are always entertaining and customizable for what you’re looking for that day. There are theme rides focusing on a particular artist, type of music or holiday and workout focused rides focused on a type of workout. Instructors have a sense of humor and might even give you a shoutout when it’s your birthday or when you hit a milestone. When you don’t feel like taking a class with an instructor there are scenic rides and a video game called lane break. Out of all of the spin bikes I’ve tried Peloton is by far the smoothest ride. I like the + version of the bike since it will automatically adjust the resistance on recorded rides. Besides cycling Peloton offers strength training, dance and yoga. This is where the ability to swivel the screen is very handy. The Peloton subscription allows you to add up to 12 accounts on the bike which will cover everyone in an average household (and then some).

  • I want this!!!! Such a joy to ride. A friend of mine has it and financed it so I’m thinking I may just do the same. I mean treadmills are so last season compared to Pelotons lol. That’s why they have the nerve to be as expensive as they are.

  • I love the convenience, diversity of class types (on and off the bike) and high energy of instruction. With classes as short as 10/15min, I have no excuse not to do something. Their stretching classes are also excellent!

  • Ok, this is going to be a long one so bear with me. If my house was on fire, the item I would bring to take with me is my Peloton bike. Ignore the logistics of what that would entail because I would figure it out since that is how much the Peloton bike has changed my life. My health journey has been an ongoing rollercoaster for years. I truly thought working out was something I would never enjoy. During college, I was introduced to soul cycle and I finally found a workout that I looked forward to but it is really expensive so as a college student it was hard to justify the price. Fast forward to the pandemic where we are stuck inside our homes and I probably was the least active I've been in ages. I was so overwhelmed in how I would be able to incorporate more movement into my day in a way that I would actually enjoy and therefore be able to sustain. I have been eyeing the brand for years and I even joined a Peloton Facebook group to see if it is worth the investment. Eventually, I bite the bullet and I wish I bought it sooner!!! I have never in my LIFE consistently worked out as much as I do with Peloton. What I love the most...... (+) The instructors are truly the brand. You cannot tell me Cody Rigsby and Alex Toussaint are not my best friends. I hang out with them (aka workout) every week. I see them more than I see my actual friends (sad but true). Sometimes even if I don't necessarily feel like working out because I am feeling lazy, I just tell myself it will be fun to catch up with Cody or Alex since they are so funny and I enjoy how they personalize their classes. They are sneaky challenging in the BEST WAY. I have never had so much fun while dripping in sweat before. They truly scout the best people for instructors, they deserve all the success. (+) Wide range of classes to meet everyone where they are in their fitness journey. If you are looking for a challenge and are a CrossFit type of person, there are classes for you. Or if you haven't worked out in ages (like myself) and do not want anything intimidating, they even have walking classes. Yes, that is right, classes where all you do is WALK. Truly there is no excuse to not get movement in your day with Peloton. I also love their mediations. I know this was long, so if you made it to this point, I applaud you. I truly love their brand and it is the only expense that when I see on my bank statement, I truly do not even care because it is so worth it. The joy I feel in finally feeling confident and having hope in my fitness journey is priceless. Thank you Peloton for all the joy, laughs, and soreness you have brought into my life!
