Reviews mention

  • Chic minimalist packaging aesthetics
  • Spa-like eucalyptus body wash
  • Quick-absorbing hydrating serum
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin-friendly formulas
  • Inconsistent deodorant odor control
  • Lightweight lotion hydration level
  • Occasional faulty pump packaging
  • Divisive, inconsistent scent profiles

Necessaire earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the brand delivers sensorial, spa-like body care—especially Eucalyptus and Sandalwood Body Washes, the Body Exfoliator, Body Serum, select deodorants, and a well-loved mineral Sunscreen—yet several reviewers find formulas average for the hype and small sizes. Strengths include chic, functional packaging, gentle options for sensitive skin, and standout scents; weaknesses surface around inconsistent deodorant efficacy/irritation, lotion and serum being light for very dry skin, occasional faulty pumps or hard-to-empty tubes, and scents (celery/oregano notes, weak longevity) not pleasing everyone.

  • My all-time favorite body wash and exfoliator. I use The Sandalwood Body Exfoliator - the scent is clean, but not generic. The texture is just rough enough to feel like you got a good scrub in, but it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

  • Packaging leaves a bit to be desired, especially the smaller ones. Love the pumps for the larger bottles though. I haven't used Necessaire in awhile because I'm on a budget (it's kind of pricey) but I love using the scrub, as well as the body wash. I have sensitive skin and the body wash was helpful. I think they've since restructured their offerings, and the scents have different functions, which is a bummer (AKA it might not work for my skin anymore) but I'd try it again if I had the budget!

  • Unfortunately these products broke me out. I have semi-sensitive skin and would advise those who share that to steer clear. The packaging is so sleek, but ultimately not worth it for the dryness I was left with after using.

  • I really like the body wash a lot - very clean smelling and not stripping.

  • I’ve been using Necessaire since they first launched and have tried almost all of their product line. I love the Santal scent and the Eucalyptus! Always excited to see when they’ve launched a new product - my skin has no complaints!

  • The scent is subtle and fades quickly. Unlikely to purchase again, but might suit those who prefer a gentle fragrance.

  • Finally!! A fragrance-free body wash. I love the transparent ingredients and a super clean experience. I found them through Credo, so I feel better knowing their ingredients are better than the alternatives.

  • My favourite body wash. Initially got the trial set and the body wash was a stand out - smells so good and feels great while still being gentle on the skin. Great sustainable refill system too.

  • The Sandalwood body set is my favorite! And apparently, my boyfriend's too since he used it all - planning on getting him his own set!

  • i tend to get a lot of body acne due to working out and this has really helped to clear them. my skin feels glowy when using the three products together. i use serums on my face but never thought to use one for my body! i love the eucalyptus in the body wash and everything feels very hydrating. i personally would like more moisture as my body is extremely dry, but i was pleasantly surprised! also being travel-friendly is a huge plus, i'll have the purchase the full size! the body lotion was lacking in moisture, i was hoping it would be a bit more thick

  • I've tried a couple of products from them, specifically "The Body Retinol," "The Body Lotion," and "The Shampoo." Simply put, the products don't offer bells and whistles (save for a few select ones) but they do the job well. Their shampoo is alright. My scalp is pretty sensitive, and this ended up being the only product that didn't include ingredients that I suspected as being the issue. So far, no scalp issues, and it doesn't feel overly stripped. On days where I need a little more strength with the cleanser, I just use it twice. I'm not devoted to it, however, and would switch if I found something else that caught my attention. The body retinol is something that I'll continue to buy every time it runs out. It's not a miracle worker -- stretch marks, wrinkles, cellulite, none of it is going to be magically wiped away with this. However, I have noticed that my skin tone is less patchy, it has brightened up a little, it has become silky soft to the touch, and it feels moisturized despite it being the only moisturizing product used on it majority of the time. I'd even say my stretch marks have become a little bit fainter, but that could be my imagination. In terms of smell, it just smells like an un-fragranced product. What smell it does have dissipates within an hour, which is worth it for the benefits. I use it before bed. Their body lotion is good, but I'm left wanting a little more. I bought it in hopes of having a lotion for both my hands and body without needing to buy an extra product for just my hands. It works, and on the rare days I remember to apply it in the morning, I find my skin is even more soft and silky. I don't use it regularly, so I can't point out any long-term results. For my hands and feet, however, I feel it isn't quite enough, but putting on something like Vaseline helps it work a little better. They do have a heavier version in a jar, which seemed nice, but it wasn't a good fit for my lifestyle. It is an option if this just doesn't quite cut it for body moisture, however. I'm not interested in any of their other products, as some seem like needless extras or grabs for money, to me. That's my personal opinion, though.

  • This one of those brands that is worth the hype. I've purchased the body wash countless times and I love the packaging and overall the body wash is not stripping or overly complicated.

  • I've been using the eucalyptus body wash, which feels and looks so luxurious. It smells like you're at the spa. I bought it at Sephora and the Sephora employee said something about getting a discount when you buy a refill, so I am interested. I really want to try some of their other products.

  • I feel like I’m in a spa every time I use the products. I feel like the lotion is nothing special but I do love that it has no smell. I was sad when they changed their deodorant to a gel because I loved the original so much!

  • Absolutely adore this brand. I bought a small travel set that consists of their The Body Exfoliator, The Body Wash, The Body Serum, and The Body Lotion. I come out of the shower feeling as if I've had a luxurious spa day. In combination and even alone, the products are hydrating and have the best scents. I do enjoy the minimalist, sleek design.

  • I have used the body oil, eucalyptus body wash, and body serum. They are all good products, but a bit pricy for what they are.

  • I've tried their shampoo and conditioner, and while they're perfectly fine I don't get the hype.

  • Quality products and brand look/feel THOUGH I'm not sure it's exactly worth the price. I have used their body wash and body serum; but good but did not significantly help my (albeit VERY dry) skin in the long run (both bottles finished). There are many other brands nowadays that make good bodycare products for more value .. not sure I would buy again unless there's a big sale.

  • The Body Wash was just okay in my experience. It didn't foam very well and didn't leave my skin any softer than any drugstore body wash. It does smell great but I wouldn't recommend for the price.

  • Just tried their buffing bar and massage tool and omggggg! Idk how they did it but the granules don’t dissolve in the soap bar so you truly get a great exfoliation with every use!!!
