MUD\WTR earns mixed reviews: devotees report steady, jitter-free focus and soothing Rest blends, while critics call the earthy, chai-cacao flavors weak or muddy with grainy sediment and little caffeine kick. Reviews praise attractive packaging and versatile recipes with oat or coconut milk and sweeteners, but recurring complaints cite separability requiring a frother, occasional digestive upset, staining, and a taste that rarely replaces coffee.

Read the warning label on the can… enough said.

I was very skeptical to try this because I thought it'd be grainy/taste bad... but I'm SO impressed with this product. It taste great (I put it in coffee even though the instructions say hot water) and it taste like a wonderful latte! Gives me a steady & clear focus and energy all day long

Pre-mixed bottled drinks would be cool! Could sell at Eerewhon/Whole Foods!
After seeing granola influencer after granola influencer hype up mudwtr on social media, I gave it a try a few months back when a friend of a friend told me he swore by it to withstand the long hours of his architecture studio classes. He loved it, I couldn't get into it. The flavor felt too earthy for me, and I didn't feel like the caffeine did anything for me (but that might just be because I have ADHD). Really wanted to love this stuff.
Great ingredients and feels like a healthy start to my morning. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't compare to that morning experience. I like the packaging, but really hate the Bro-tastic brand voice. Blech.

Gives me diarrhea if I drink more than one cup a day.
UPDATED: I purchased an annual subscription which means that I was buying a year's worth of product upfront that would be shipped to me throughout the year. Well, be careful because MUDWTR communications that are letting you know that your pre-paid shipment is processing are exactly the same as communications associated with an annual renewal. I ended up being charged $450 for a renewal I didn't want, and when I wrote them to stop the shipments/issue a refund, it took 8 days to get a response. I now have product I have to ship back before I can get a full refund. They have a "VIP concierge" contact email for the folks who have annual subscriptions, but that doesn't mean you're getting prompt or clear communication. original review: I like this so much I have an annual subscription for both their core product and their creamer. Coffee is great for keeping us focused and productive, but life is about more than being productive. When I need to squeegee my third eye and reconnect with the universe, coffee is not my friend. So, I take breaks from coffee and I drink MUDWTR. My focus does not suffer, and my meditation opens me up even more so. I love the health benefits of all the various ingredients. I also love the taste of the MudWTR and the creamer with a little bit of agave nectar, hot water and oat milk.

Nothing. Love it.
I like the alleged benefits of this, but it tastes like well... mud water. I think this is way overhyped and too expensive. It would be better if it actually tasted good but literally tastes like dirt. Seems like.an influencer thing to me and not actually good.

Love the idea, came with a nice stir-er/foamer (which I use for my whole milk coffees) but TBH tastes like actual muddy water which is not an excellent replacement for a creamy coffee for me personally.

Perhaps there could be a Mud Water Light- less intense version of this formula for those who are sensitive to the flavor.

I don’t argue some might like this but I didn’t stick with it. It’s very earthy! Also the powder doesn’t stay suspended that great and ends up with a sludge in the bottom so requires constant stirring/swirling while I sipped. I definitely missed the caffeine and didn’t feel like it gave me as much of a boost as I was looking for. It’s probably worth a try if you’re looking for alternatives but not for me.
I like the concept here, but the flavor tasted like a more earthy chai-cocoa hybrid. I definitely felt a mild energy boost from the low-dose caffeine and mushroom blend, but for me this didn't serve as a coffee alternative, but rather as a drink I was having in addition to coffee. Due to the high cost and suboptimal taste profile, I would not purchase this again.
Love the idea of a caffeine replacement but just honestly am not a fan of the taste of this product.
I ordered this after getting repetitively targeted on Instagram. Plain, it was not good. But when I added maple syrup, their coconut creamer, and a plant-based milk, it actually tasted like a cacao chai sort of drink. Certainly not my favorite, but I didn't *not* enjoy it.

I wish it had a stronger chai/cacao flavor, and didn't cost quite so much...
Love the taste! I'm a cold brew-drinker and I tried MUD\WTR with relatively low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised and how refreshing it tasted. I'm generally unaffected by caffeine so I can't speak to the energy effects but overall I enjoyed the flavors and the experience of mixing the powder with water.

Just expensive!
I have been drinking mud/wtr over the last month or so, but haven't fully gone off coffee. I like the flavor, and the healthier feeling that it gives me, but I have been drinking coffee for over 40 years and I don't know that I will ever totally give it up. I tend to drink the mud/wtr on weekends and days off. It tastes very pleasant and the frother is cool but also a learning curve for not frothing mud/wtr all over the place!

Honestly pretty delicious as far as mushroom coffee goes but it's expensive and I had to eventually return to coffee. Also it's not very caffeinated so you get the same high as drinking like a tea.

The flavor is meh at best, I didn’t really get the benefits from the adaptogens, definitely not a replacement for coffee as I still needed coffee to get started. And I had a subscription for a couple months. Not worth the money. After I learned that MUD/WTR doesn’t use the fruit mushrooms bug the “roots” that grow in the grain they grow the mushrooms with I switched to everyday dose, and I liked that way better. Taste wise and everything.
The packaging is really attractive. The taste is not. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I was intrigued by all the super foods listed in the ingredients list, which prompted the purchase. I have a cup maybe 1-2 times a week, and it is a nice routine, but nothing I crave. You definitely need a little drink frother to get it mixed sufficiently. I don't anticipate re-ordering.

The taste.
Best alternative I have found to replace afternoon coffee. I love this HOT with a touch of honey. Super helpful for afternoon focus and no crash.

Love it
It’s ok. Definitely not a substitute for coffee, as the taste profile is completely different, but I nice chai-like beverage for the afternoon.

My wife bought this for me as an alternative to coffee to help me power through the workday. Unfortunately, I disliked it strongly. I gave it a few tries to be fair, but I just didn’t care for the taste or consistency. I’m also not convinced it had enough caffeine for me. I’m back on coffee and happier for it.

My boyfriend really likes this beverage and I cannot say the same. Tastes like actual mud to me.
