Reviews mention

  • Long-lasting, gripping primer performance
  • Creamy, blendable stick formulas
  • Vegan, cruelty-free formulations
  • Travel-friendly, compact packaging
  • Tacky, pilling primer texture
  • Inconsistent, fading pigmentation
  • Drying, melt-prone stick products
  • Strong, unpleasant product scents

Milk Makeup earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its Hydro Grip primer, Kush mascara/brow products, and creamy Lip + Cheek and bronzer sticks often perform beautifully—gripping makeup, blending easily, and suiting sensitive skin—while recurring complaints cite tacky feel or pilling from Hydro Grip, inconsistent formulas, fading pigment, and fussy or small stick packaging. Reviews of Milk Makeup also flag scent issues, products drying out or melting, and some underwhelming skincare and highlighters, making it a brand with standout staples but uneven reliability across the range.

  • Love the bronzer stick and that it's clean! Very easy to use for someone who is not good at makeup

  • Love milk makeup so much! Especially the hydro grip primer, it’s so good! It’s super sticky which is exactly what I look for in a primer, it’s keeps all of my makeup in tact throughout the day and it’s amazing!

  • I have tried the viral primer. It’s very sticky. I don’t essentially like the fact that it’s too tacky but I guess that’s what it’s supposed to do. I just haven’t used primers. I feel that consistency. I guess it can compare to the health one, but it wasn’t my favorite.

  • Props to MILK for being vegan and cruelty free. Most of their products are pretty good! My only feedback would be to work on better complexion products and maybe take out their skincare. Other than that, not too bad on the wallet and most products have great payoff.

  • Milk makeup is epitome of "effortless chic girl" aesthetic. They have a few really solid products like the kush mascara, highlighters, brow gel, and lip gloss. But the primer didn't do much for me.

    More skin tone shades please!

  • I tried the Hydrogrip Primer from this brand. It is a good product, feels nice on the skin, but does not make a difference in how my makeup applies. It does provide moisture to the skin and doesn't contain any parabens.

  • This is probably pretty specific, but I love that most of their products are in stick form. Lately I've been less inclined to use makeup that I need to apply with my fingers or a sponge. Products that I've tried and loved: flex foundation stick, lip + cheek stick, kush lip balm (all colors), cooling water stick. Products I've tried that were just ok, for me: hydro grip primer, kush lip glaze, kush triple brow pen, blur stick. For reference, I have combination skin that tends to be a little more on the oily side. Cruelty free and vegan is also nice.

The minis aren't a great deal money-wise, but are good for testing out products to see how you feel about them.

  • The Blush and Contour Sticks are my go-to products. It’s a super small package but lasts SO LONG. I love that they’re small enough to take on the go. I also love the Hydro Grip primer, it’s an essential in my makeup routine

  • I like the format, which is practical for travelling, and I like make-up in stick form, such as blush, bronzer...

  • Happily surprised by this brand. I do not recognize myselff with the branding but I need to say that the quality of product is there. I have the highlighter, already my 2nd tube, and the red matte lipstick. It is even better as my long time favorite Dior. I can not forget it, it is a must have in my purse.

I tried the volume mascara, the full size and it was clumpsy, but the mini size was perfect. So I would not suggest to buy it until they fix the issue (the person at sephora told me they had a lot of returns on the full size).

  • Love that this brand is vegan and cruelty-free but the products have been a bit hit or miss for me. Their hydro grip primer is an all-time favorite of mine but I've found the blush/bronzer sticks to be a bit patchy and dries out quickly.

  • i have oily skin and i definitely noticed a difference in my makeup while wearing their primers. the Pore Eclipse Mattifying + Blurring Makeup Primer feels super lightweight yet helps to control my oil during the day. i don't like a heavily matte look- more soft matte, and this helped me achieve it. the Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer makes my face tacky enough for the makeup products i put on top to stick on top, love it!!!

  • I love their Milk makeup range. Especially the blush sticks and the sculpt cream contour sticks. I Wish they were bigger. the products are really small.

  • I love the dewy cream highlighter , this creamy, non-drying formula is lightweight and melts into skin for a luminous finish. It glides smoothly over makeup without caking or dragging.

  • Milk is one of my favorite brands! I can't get over their Hydro Grip Primer, and it makes my makeup last +18h with little to no touch-up. I'm also in love with the mini blush stick.

I wish that my Sephora in Brazil would carry Milk. #MilkComeToBrazil hahaha

  • I have had some Milk Makeup products that have done really well like the primers and cream blushes. But other products like the highlighter is like putting grease on my cheekbones. I can agree with some other reviews how the brand can be inconsistent. I would just read reviews on the specific product you are looking at and also knowing your skin type and texture and what works for you.

  • I use the cream bronzing stick daily. It’s lasted me for ages. I keep twisting it up thinking I must be close to the end but I never am. A little product goes a long way. It works great on a brush or applied with fingers. I will absolutely repurchase. I tried the hydro grip primer from a Sephora sample and didn’t like it. It pilled on my skin. But I hear others love it.

  • clean, vegan beauty products are necessary with my highly sensitive, allergy-prone skin. My first product experience came thru a subscription box and I had never heard of the company before. Fast-forward a couple years and I’ve tried a lot of different beauty products and all of them are fantastic. Big thumbs up from this sensitive skin human!
