Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

It's good, but it's SO expensive. I would rather indulge in regular cereal every once in a while.

The plain chocolate could use some work with the taste

I’ve tried a couple flavors of Magic Spoon cereal: the fruity & peanut butter. Both flavors are comparable to other more “unhealthy” cereal. I love that this cereal provides lower carbs & more protein.

I love the idea behind this brand, but am not at all a fan of how it tastes. The flavor seemed really artificial to me and the texture didn’t seem to hold up in milk. If you don’t mind the taste of monk fruit you might like this, but if you’re at all sensitive to it then I would skip this!

While I appreciate the brands mission I don’t find the cereal to be enjoyable. The texture specifically feels stale and the mouth feels overrides the flavor. It sounded like a fun way to get more protein but I just didn’t look forward to eating it. Their cereal bars however are so good and I do recommend those.

This is ok. Cool in a pinch, but they all have this weird aftertaste that makes them slightly unappealing. I'd settle for them if I were on a stricter diet, though. The fruity flavor is the worst, in my opinion.

Delicious, low cal, and filling. A little too sticky though, and pricey.
Magic Spoon is interesting. You see it all over social media and people always say how good it is but I thought it was just okay. The price for the cereal is expensive for what you get but I think if you’re on a diet and don’t have another choice you’ll pay it and be happy. If you’re not on a diet I would really buy it. Cereal isn’t really a necessity but if you’re dieting and are craving something it’ll help. I wasn’t too impressed.
After selling a gazillion online ads for Magic Spoon, I decided to buy it and give it a try and I was mostly happy with the product. It's a low-carb and low-sugar cereal that's good for diabetics or people on special diets so it's not going to be as sweet as the cereal you grew up eating as a kid, but for a low-carb/low-sugar product, it's not bad at all. I bought six of the flavors and, so far, I've finished two of them. As of this writing, the cinnamon is my favorite. The only downside is that, for the price, there's not very much cereal in the box compared to supermarket brands. Overall though, I would purchase it again.
Fun branding!

Doesn't taste good and is expensive.
The rice krispies treats are good! Love that there are a good amount of flavor options.
At first, I was opposed to this cereal. I didn't really understand the point, and I thought it was too expensive to justify purchasing it. But then they had a sale at my grocery store, and I had the opportunity to purchase a box. I am now a full cereal convert. This cereal is delicious while still keeping me full throughout the morning and not overloading the carbs.
It's a healthy, satisfying and decent tasting grain-free option for cold cereal. Ingredients are high quality and healthy, however, I do feel it is not quite competitive in price. If you want a low carb and high protein cereal, this one is definitely for you!
I thought this would be a little better. I found the taste wasn’t very flavorful but it wasn’t bad. It is definitely a good alternative healthy cereal. But I think I want to try other healthier cereal brands after tasting this
I love this cereal! The fact that it tastes like my childhood favorites without the added sugars and processed crud! And there’s PROTEIN! This is the adult late night snack of dreams
I finally tried Magic Spoon. Their pitch is that it is a substitute for the sugary cereal of our youth. To an extent, that is accurate. Let’s kid no one: it does not taste exactly like kid’s cereal. It is close enough to be good. The texture isn't as crunchy and the price point is kind of outrageous (ten dollars for one box). I would proceed with caution, because the potential for disappointment.
I did not love this cereal. While I love what they are doing, making a high protein cereal, the taste just wasn't what I wanted
Cereal has been getting so expensive it took me a while to try based on the price tag. If you want a trip down memory lane eating your favorite kids cereal watching cartoons, this will take you back there. Love that I don’t feel bad about eating it.
Magic Spoon is an awesome brand - their cereals are a bit pricey, but they're worth it since I'm a cereal fiend and most cereals are loaded with junk and sugar. Purchased from the grocery store so I didn't interact directly with their website, but their site is rad, too and has great subscription options.

If you're one of those people that is very sensitive to alternative sugars (stevia, etc) you may not care for the aftertaste of Magic Spoon. They use allulose instead of splenda or refined sugars. Doesn't bother me at all but my husband thinks the cereal has a noticeable aftertaste - he's sensitive to things like that.
