  • Look beyond just the santal! Santal 33 made me smell like a dill pickle in the worst way. I understand fragrance is different on everyone's individual chemistry but worth knowing this could happen to you. plus, do you really want to smell like everyone else? Their Rose is a gorgeous fragrance, as are most of their other scents.

  • I'm absolutely obsessed with Le Labo candles, lotion, and perfumes BUT it's so insanely expensive.... I wish that all candles and perfume scents came in the same scents

PRICING, perfumes don't last long on skin / clothes

  • High quality (but not clean) products. Love the concrete candle! Most of the perfume scents are overpowering for me, but a couple of pleasant ones, and love the personalized bottles.

  • I bought a couple products based on the review of a podcaster I like. She enjoys them, and they are in some hotels so I thought I would give them a try. I found the fragrances to be aggressive and overwhelming, it was just not for me - or I didn't smell the right ones, I only tried two.

Better sample packs to try a wide variety of smells before committing.

  • I love Rose 31 the most. Fragrance lasts a long time so you’ll be good on that front. It’s expensive but I guess it’s worth for what it is. Fragrance is so personal so I would HIGHLY suggest go to their store and TEST THEM ALL before making the purchase

    The price

  • For some the price point might be a turnoff, but I feel it’s worth the investment. Not only for their fragrances, but I’m also a fan of their hair paste.

  • Incredible fragrances, very expensive but worth the price tag as you only need a tiny amount and the scent lasts all day. I switch between a few different scents and often order the samples to try new fragrances. The shower gels are also so good.

  • Absolutely lovely scents. Classic yet interesting. A very good gift idea - especially when customised. But not cheap.

a bit expensive. would love a middle size.

  • All of their scents are unique and complex + the packaging is minimal and pretty. I absolutely love their Sental 33 fragrance.

Online experience is good but I went to their store in SF with the intention of buying and was completely ignored, even after trying to get a sales person to help me, so I left without getting anything.

  • Le Labo scents are a New York classic. High quality and the smell lasts whether you're buying the cologne or candles. I also love that you can personalize the packaging to give as a gift. Unfortunately I no longer support the brand because of their in-store customer service. The staff in the Williamsburg and West Village locations have been very snobby on more than one occasion.

  • Te Noir will always be my night perfume jam. The in-store experience is also pretty spectacular.

  • Always a fan of the personalized touch, the scents are lovely. The large concrete candle still remains an aspiration.

  • Truly love this brand. Was gifted a starter set from former work colleagues for my birthday and I loved every single scent. Now I have a full sized bottle of The Noir 29 and it's the loveliest evening/winter scent that is so distinctive and unforgettable.

The price is highly inaccessible for most, but I recommend the tester starter kit — which gives you a taste of six of their fragrances in purse-friendly vials! All you need is a spray or two and this stuff STAYS ON forever.

  • Absolute favorite fragrances. I own a few and change them depending on the season or mood. The city exclusives that they release in September are always very interesting discoveries. Their shower gel and body scrub smell divine too. A recent discovery is their santal scented notebook - it is amazing!

  • Love the fragrances, the personalized labels, and the clean modern design. I bought a whole collection of samples/testers as a gift for a friend, who could try every option they have and find her favorite fragrance, she loved the gift a lot.

  • I know Le Labo gets a lot of hate for being pretentious, but I genuinely love it. Yes, it’s pricey—but everything about their perfumes feels luxurious. From the industrial, modern vibe of their stores to the thoughtful branding and ingredient storytelling, it all just hits. I especially love their annual city exclusives and the way they showcase each scent’s ingredients—it’s such an artful experience. My personal favorites are Santal 33, Another 13, Matcha 26, Bergamote 22, and Baie 19. They also make great gifts, especially with the option to personalize the label. I really appreciate the whole "lab" concept and the fact that they offer refills on larger bottles—less waste, more intention. I’ll always recommend this brand.

  • Santal 33 is my favorite perfume! It just smells so fancy and luxury. I love the packaging and how they make it right in front of you in store.

  • Le Labo perfume is seriously top-notch! I wear their patchouli scent daily for its sophisticated, long-lasting scent that always stands out. Though it's seriously pricey, the compliments I receive make every penny worth it.

  • Buy it for the lux name and bottle, and don’t forget you can refill the bottle for much less! The staying power could use some work. The flower forward fragrances are all skip-able. Go for another 13 or the noir. Recommend the perfume oil over the parfum for staying power and intimacy

  • Le Labo is one of those brands that you want to call overrated, and it's really not. Their scent offerings are so incredibly unique and unmistakable. It is pricey, but they are excellent in their craft. I don't recommend their skincare/bodycare products unless you don't have sensitive skin/don't really need the product to be particularly excellent in their function... but their bottles of their fragrance are unmatched, inimitable products. I know there are "dupes" on the market, but they very much are not the same. I hope that Le Labo expands their range into home fragrances (reed diffusers would be amazing). The Matcha and the new Lavande scents are incredibly unique and worth, at minimum, sampling.
