  • Effective uv-c purification technology

  • Long-lasting rechargeable battery
  • Excellent cold temperature retention
  • Buggy, inaccurate companion app
  • Heavy bottle and lid weight
  • Leaky lids and loose straws

Larq earns largely positive reviews for delivering genuinely cleaner, fresher‑tasting water via UV‑C self‑cleaning and optional filter straw, plus strong insulation and long battery life; many users report improved hydration and sleek, durable designs. However, reviews also flag weaknesses: buggy or inaccurate app syncing, leaking lids and loose or faulty straws, heavy bottles with small effective capacity, and recurring cap “orange ring” malfunctions that undermine reliability.

  • Honestly this is such a cool product and it is on me for misreading what I was buying. I thought it would make tap water taste better/filter the water, which it did not. It also is a little heavy and does not keep water cold for long periods, but if I were to go camping, I would definitely take my LARQ with me.

    - Make it lighter - Better insulation

  • I've used the original Larq and now the Larq Movement since their launch. I LOVE that I don't have to wash my water bottle as often and I avoid funny smells in my bottle. The only thing that bothers me is that the paint on the inside of the cap is chipping, and they've already replaced the cap for me. I think they need to re-consider what kind of paint they use on the inside of the bottle. I also love the style.

  • Larq is an innovative brand that delivers on its promise of clean, self-purifying water bottles. The technology is impressive, keeping water fresh and eliminating bacteria with UV-C light. The build quality is solid, and the convenience of not having to constantly wash the bottle is a major plus. However, the design could use some improvement—while functional, it lacks a bit of aesthetic appeal compared to other premium bottles. Overall, it’s a great product with top-tier functionality, but a sleeker look would make it even better.

  • I have 2 of these, a small insulated bottle and a large non-insulated bottle. I used to use a Nalgene, and even with weekly washes it would start to smell easily. With my Larq, as gross as it sounds, I haven't washed it in years (except wiping the top rim), and never once had issues with weird smells or tastes. The only annoying part is having to charge it; I wish they'd add a Qi or MagSafe wireless charger on the top of the lid to make charging easier.

  • I've used the Larq pitcher for a couple years now and really love it. I had previously used a huge Britta, which was convenient for the size but I was always a little unsure about how effective the filtration was & I know I didn't change the filter as often as I should have. Larq is easy to use, filters quickly, it clearly prompts you when the filter needs to be changed. Although it's a bit pricey, it's a thoughtfully designed, high quality filter that I plan to continue using for years.

  • I have the LARQ Bottle PureVis™. It's a beautiful bottle but I don't really notice a major difference when I use the sanitization station, so I have slowly stopped using the functionality and just use it as a normal bottle. For that reason, I'm not sure if it's really worth the price.

  • I had high hopes but was underwhelmed by the water bottle. I like the idea, but the water bottle is relatively small and insulation is average. Cleaning/charging the lid is kind of a hassle, and I don’t believe the disinfecting capabilities are appealing enough to justify the price point and upkeep. I think these are good as a gift, but I wouldn’t purchase (or repurchase in my case) for myself.

  • I bought the bottle during peak COVID, so the built-in sanitization made me feel a lot better about using water filling stations at school. However, what really made me purchase was how sleek the design was–it's practically an accessory. I get compliments all the time. Or comments about why I spent so much money on a water bottle. I must admit I don't always have my bottle charged, so I'm not sure how fully I utilized the bottle-cleaning function, but there's definitely a thin layer of grime that accumulates after not washing for a while. The mouth piece also needs to be washed because of leftover lip cells / food.

This might be too much to ask, but is there ANY way to clean the mouthpiece on its own?

  • Love the problem statement: make a bottle where the bottle doesn't stink. Unfortunately, I don't think they quite delivered it. My bottle still stinks, and I have a strong hypothesis as to why but I don't quite know for sure: I believe the small trace of saliva I leave on the bottle rim when I drink from it is causing the smell and the UV lighting doesn't make that go away or resolve the issue.

    Feedback

I'm not quite sure whether it's the technology or whether this is just a fundamental problem that's hard to solve, but my bottle still stinks. Sad.

  • obvi the design is absolutely gorgeous and i love the idea of it but i never use this bottle!!! for almost $100 for a water bottle, really think before you buy if you'll actually use it, especially if you have clean water accessible to you

  • Ok first the cons (slow shipping). Now on to the pros: I bought a black Larq purevis 2 (omg my water has never tasted so clean?!) it does what is says - plus it never gets that funky bottle smell. This is what sold me, so I bought a second one in white (larger size). Large one with me at all times at home, smaller one out and about. Ok so since I was sold on these, I had to buy the pitcher! Again, sold.

  • As someone who works in content creation for an orthodontic practice, I’m always on the lookout for products that combine innovation with practicality. The LARQ Bottle caught my attention with its self-cleaning feature. The UV-C light technology is a game-changer for anyone who’s concerned about bacteria in their water bottle. I love how it keeps my water fresh throughout the day and helps maintain cleanliness, especially when I’m juggling tasks and can’t always wash my bottle right away. The sleek design is an added bonus, though the price might be a bit high for those looking for a more budget-friendly option. Overall, it’s a solid investment for anyone looking for convenience and hygiene on the go.

  • I love this water bottle and the packaging that it came in! It is self cleaning, it purifies the water, and is so cute. I also love how I can track my water intake with the LARQ app. This water bottle is truly a game changer for me. Everybody should buy this!

  • Worth the Investment!

I genuinely appreciate the technology and efficiency of my LARQ Bottle Movement, I can quickly have it purify and clean itself and drink water whenever I need it even if I only have tap water available. I would highly recommend the investment to those who can afford it or gift it!

  • the rubber on the cap fell off after a while (a little over a year) and it made water leak :-( sad that this occurred considering how pricey this water bottle is

  • I've loved using the Larq purified water filter with UV cleaning. The self-cleaning feature is important as other filters such as Brita often lack premium taste and the inside can get bacteria infested rather quickly. Larq's clean minimalistic design makes it a perfect addition to the home for your daily hydration needs.

  • Best water bottle I have ever owned with a self cleaning bottle to keep your water pure and with the UV built in how can you go wrong. It has a double wall insulated stainless steel and more hygienic than regular reusable bottles. Kick the plastic habit & save the planet & your hard earned money. By the way a portion of the proceeds benefit water projects worldwide.

  • Love the look and the tech of this bottle. Not sure if I received a faulty one but the "lip part" never fully goes down. That's about the only thing that bothers me about this product. But overall, great product- I am someone that cares about having my water filtered. No tap water for me!

  • I had the first iteration of this bottle and loved it, but ultimately wished that it held more water so I have since used other bottles but recently came back to it when I saw that there was some new technology so I purchased that bottle in a slightly bigger size, but because of the filter, it takes up a lot of room and doesn’t hold as much water as I’d like. It is also hard to sip from, and feels like a work out for my mouth. I also recently purchased the refrigerator water filter and I’ve been liking that so far although I didn’t realize that the light filter was out of battery.

    Feedback

I wish that they were bigger sizes and I also think it would be nice if the water bottle is able to do the filter and the light sort of have the refrigerator model is able to work

  • This modern bottle may be on the pricey side, however, its self-cleaning function sure speaks loud volume! Gifted this to my mom and she uses it daily!
