Reviews mention

  • Velvety, ultra-creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • Plentiful, well-distributed mix-ins
  • Impressive dairy-free options
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasionally icy, grainy texture
  • Some flavors overly sweet

Jeni's Ice Creams earns rapturous reviews for rich, ultra‑creamy texture and inventive, true‑to‑label flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, confirming the brand is excellent. Reviews also flag downsides: pints are expensive, quality varies by flavor, and some report iciness or overly sweet/salty notes and occasional freezer burn from stores.

  • Love their ice cream. I’ve tried a few flavors and am excited that as a celiac I’m able to enjoy the birthday cake one. It’s a little on the too sweet side and can be a bit cloying so can’t have too much at once.

  • Such yummy ice cream!!! Love the coffee and cream flavor and frozé is so good. I also get some when I see it since I personally don't come by it often.

  • The ability for the sccop shops in your neighborhood to be as consistent with quality as the pints in your grocery store is very impressive. I love a good pint of ice cream and this is a nice little splurge - its never going to be cheap but compared to your big brands, Jeni's is a huge step up in quality. Nothing.

  • I live next to a Jenis and I’m obsessed. I’ve never had a flavor I don’t like.

  • MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM EVER! Went to Jeni's a lot when they opened in LA, was ecstatic when I could buy from grocery stores. Used to order special seasonal flavors online and have it shipped. Moved to Ohio during the pandemic and didn't know Jeni's is from here, so easy for me to get all seasonal and original flavors everywhere now! Their Brambleberry Crip is one of my all-time favorites and I wish they could be at my wedding!

    nothing, I love Jeni's

  • Although the ice cream is rather pricey per pint, the flavors are awesome and are different than typical ice cream flavors. Definitely recommend trying out a few flavors! Cream Puff and Buttercream Birthday Cake are a couple of great ones!

  • Jeni's flavors are so unique and tasty! I've only ever had Jeni's in store and not via subscription but whenever I'm in a city with a Jeni's, I definitely make an effort to visit.

  • Jen's ice creams are tasty and come in great, imaginative flavors! I had them first in Chicago, then was able to find them in my local grocery stores as well.

The price point is higher than it is worth, in my opinion.

  • Some of the best ice cream with fun and unique flavors!

I think they are doing great!

  • Jeni's has super good ice cream - both diary and non-dairy options. I love how their pints come in bright packaging as well. One of my favorite ice cream spots!

  • Ice cream is tasty, and I like that they offer nationwide delivery. It's a bit pricey though.

  • 5-star. 10/10. Best ice cream. Worth the money. Where is my lifetime supply? Buy immediately.

    How can I get more?

  • Jeni's ice creams are DELICIOUS. The flavors are unique - you won't find anything like them anywhere else, and they're all so yummy. My personal favorite is the brown butter almond brittle. I first tried it in Chicago years ago, as it was hard to find anywhere near me. However, now I've seen it in bigger grocery stores as well as local boutiques so it is easier to find. Also, they offer nationwide shipping from their website now.

This ice cream is incredibly pricey, at $9 per pint ($12 if you buy through their website), so for me this is only very special occasion ice cream.

  • Jeni's is without a doubt the best niche ice cream brand. The store-bought pints also really hold up in comparison to grabbing a scoop in store. The flavors are bomb and the texture is amazing!! 10/10, would recommend!

  • Maple. pancakes. To die for. I also see they are basically the same price as other brands at some stores so when I see it, I get 2 pints and could use the calcium! Boston cream pie is also good. The super chocolate one too.!
