  • Layered, umami-rich flavor profile

  • Oil-forward, leaky packaging
  • Inconsistent crunch texture
  • Milder-than-expected spice

Fly by Jing delivers bold, versatile Sichuan-inspired condiments that, according to reviews, elevate everything from eggs and noodles to dumplings—Zhong Sauce and the OG Sichuan Chili Crisp draw repeated praise for layered umami, balanced heat, and everyday usability. • This stuff is delicious and more versatile than it seems. It's not quite in the pantheon of Sriracha, Cholula, or Sambal in terms of general usability / go-to-ness, but it's up there. Eggs? Yep. Steak? 100% yes! Dumplings? It's a slam dunk. Fly by Jing has a bunch of different options, but I keep coming back to the original Sichuan Chili. If you don't have a local asian market that sells chili crisp oil in giant bottles, Fly bi Jing is the go to choice.

  • I love the flavor and texture of this product. If you can’t handle spiciness it isn’t for you. I enjoy it on eggs, soups, dumplings, etc.

  • I have the chili crisp oil, which seems like it was everywhere I looked all of a sudden. The consistency was not what I expected, and it is a little messy to use. I tried it on eggs, and I thought it was just meh. I tried it in a marinade, and it was outstanding! I guess you just need to find how it works best for you?

  • I don’t get the hype over this product. It’s not bad but it’s not great? Personally don’t think it was worth the money at the end of the day

  • Fly by Jing sauces pack a ton of flavor, but they're a bit overpriced compared to my usual Chinese grocery store faves. Sure they're good, but I'm not convinced they're worth the extra $$ for what you get.

  • Very tasty! I've mixed this on so many things, including ice cream. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to leak out of the cap and am often cleaning up the oil. Love the product though.

  • Good flavor, the Zhong Sauce was the winner in my household between the 2. Used it on my meals when I wanted to add another layer of flavor. Mostly on my eggs, veggies, ramen and rice. I do wish the Chili Crisp had more of a crisp to it, the ratio felt off. The Zhong Sauce and Chili Crisp are not super spicy but have a nice kick to it.

  • I’m in love with the zhong sauce. I put it on everything: noodles, pizza, dumplings, eggs, scallion pancakes, all drastically changed by the addition of this sweet and spicy sauce.

  • Love the variety of products but beware of seed oils if that is important to you!

  • Had a sample from a friend of the mala spice mix and it was great!

  • This brand is a real marketing/press juggernaut, and as an actual person with Chinese heritage there are other classic oily-chile-sauce brands I buy at the market that are way cheaper. I have tried the main FBJ sauce and it's fine, seemed spicy, tasty and good quality, but due to the branding and price point, it's just not my thing. Prefer Lao Gan Ma and something more authentic.

  • It is easier to find in the stores vs the momofuku crunch. I find that the spiciness is almost too much heat compared to flavor for the chili crisp. Then when i got a milder version, it wasnt enough spicy flavor! Goldilocks moment. Also, the packaging is very pretty, but it does leak easily which makes a mess in your fridge

  • The flavor that the brand provides are amazing and unique. When I cook with them I have recieved so mch compliments, there are just amazing!

  • Fly by Jing is one of the best additions I've made to my cooking in recent years. My absolute favorite is the Zhong sauce. It's rich, complex, sweet, hot, and savory. I put it on my rice bowls, noodles, in my ramen, on eggs... honestly everything can benefit from a drop of this stuff!

  • LOVE FLY by Jing. Use this on anything: eggs, dumplings, avo toast, cottage cheese!! I love spicy but to me this could use just a touch more spice. Will continue to put on everything!

  • Super tasty product, love trying it on all kinds of dishes. Obviously great on ramen, but also great on jambalaya! It has the perfect amount of spice, I am usually a mild-medium heat kinda gal. The packaging is great and I love that I can buy at Target now!

  • I was excited to try this because I've seen so much buzz around it and finally went for it via the Thingtesting try free stuff program, mainly because it is so expensive. The flavor is decent, I felt it was a little smoky and nicely spiced, enough to add to a dish without making it inedible. However, I have had some tastier chili crisps that have better garlic/chili flavor with some added salt. Its a good gateway chili crisp, but if you have others you like, I'd probably stick to those. I like it enough to continue using it, but I probably won't repurchase.

  • Zhong Sauce is one of my all time favorite condiments - spicy and a little sweet. It is my go to for dumplings. I like the Chili Crisp, but it has a bit more sichuan peppercorn than I like.

  • Delicious chili oil. I'd like to try more of their products!

  • One of the best chili oils! Hot from the sichuan and spicy and super unique!
