  • My friend shared an ad with my on IG about the discs. I wasn’t sure if they were going to work for me but man am I soooo happy I tried them. The discs literally changed my life. I’ve got endo and a really heavy flow. The disc gets me through an entire day without having to change it bc you can wear it for 12 hours. I’ve also figured out how to empty it during the day without taking it out. It’s super cool. My cramps have reduced and I just love not feeling like something is clogging me up during my period. I’m actually upset at myself for not knowing about the discs sooner. It did take me a week to figure it out but their customer service helped me with like standing on my tips toes to remove. Anyway, haven’t looked back and Ive officially said goodbye to tampons and pads forever. Best decision ever. Also I love that they use inclusive language.

I was going to say make a reusable disc, but they just did! Pre-ordered mine already. Glad they switched to eco friendly packaging.

  • I personally found the discs very rigid and uncomfortable. I switched to a different brand....which is so much more comfortable

  • Tried the disc after being advertised to on Instagram so many times. It was relatively easy to insert and remove.

LEAKS. No matter how I messed with it and read the instructions over and over again, it would always leak. Also not sure about the sustainability of this product, seemed like a lot of plastic & rubber? Wasn't sure this was better in any way compared to traditional period products.

  • Definitely experienced leakage and had trouble both inserting and removing the product. I love the concept of this product but I just don't think it is for me.

  • I didn't find the discs to be leakproof as they claimed to be and I found removal to be both more effort and mess than it was worth but this is just my experience.

  • Love these! They’re so easy to pop in and just go about your day without having to worry about.

    Can be difficult to remove.

  • I didn't have any luck with the discs, but the cup is great! I didn't expect to be a believer in the cups but got them on a whim at Target and have loved it ever since.

  • Resisted converting to this type of reusable menstrual product for far too long. Finally got a Flex Disc a few months ago and I wish I had done it sooner- it's quality reusable silicone, comfortable, and most importantly, holds a lot. As someone with a heavy period, I only need to change it once a day (which is incredible) and it's so comfortable you can't feel it at all. Just rinse with sensitive soap and boil for 10 mins in between periods and you're good to go. No more tampons with who knows what chemicals in them that irritate, are bulky to carry around, and EXPENSIVE. I'm super happy with Flex. The only complaint is some staining that I can't remove (even with their own soap products), but whatever. I'm super grateful to have found this!

  • The black rimmed menstrual cups are amazing. I can't feel them the same way I can the thicker products. It is reusable for a cycle and then you can through it out. It works really well and is great for swimming. Can also be used during sex to limit leakage.

  • I LOVE using Flex discs. I haven't tried using a cup yet but the disposable discs are just SO GREAT and comfortable. My partner does feel it during sex so that doesn't work for us. BUT it is 100% worth every penny. I'm going to try the reusable next!

    NO COMPLAINTS HERE!

  • The Reusable Flex Disc is fantastic; I've been using all kinds of products, including menstrual cups, and none of them felt comfortable or seemed wasteful, but with Disc, I don't have to worry about my period, being active, or running out of products.

  • I tried the Flex Cup with the pull tab for a few months, and unfortunately I had switched to a drugstore alternative. The cup itself works fine; the material is thicker than other cups so it might be harder to bend and maneuver into place, but once its in it stays in place. The main, glaring issue is the pull tab. First, the tab sticks out very uncomfortably; the website recommends tucking it between the cup and the wall of the vagina, but it will immediately pop back into place after movement. The actual pull mechanism caused me a lot of soreness and pain; the idea is that by pulling the tab, it breaks the vacuum seal and allows the cup to come out, but it would take a decent amount of force to actually break the seal, so the cup would tug the walls and my cervix with it before the seal would break. Once I switched to a generic cup from a local drugstore, I realized just how badly an experience I had.

I'd potentially reconsider the design of the pull tab, maybe make the cup less thick so it's easier to break the seal.

  • Absolutely obsessed with this concept. I finally found the easiest way to manage a difficult menstrual cycle. Flex discs are comfortable and disposable, less wasteful (longer wear times), cuts out the "what am I putting into my body" concerns, and are easy to learn how to use. They're a little spendy, but I'll never go back.

  • I LOVE MY FLEX DISC. Hands down the best period product I've ever used. Now that the flex disc comes in a reusable silicone version, I never have to find a better period care alternative. The disc is much easier to use than any other menstrual product out there. I've dealt with tampons and Diva cups and while tampons are fine, there are so many more benefits to using the disc. Once it's in, it's in for the day. The learning curve for the disc is much easier than menstrual cups and you don't really feel it once it's in.

There have been a couple times I didn't empty the disc into the toilet the way you're supposed to when you go to the bathroom (hands-free by the way!) and it kind of leaked out all at once. That was really scary a couple times but I think that's the only learning curve that's difficult to master with the disc. If your flow is heavy, make sure you know how to empty the disc into the toilet throughout the day or it could result in majorly unpleasant leakage...

  • Flex completely changed my period experience! I have tried all of their products and was using the larger cup before switching to the disc. It does take some getting used to in terms of how the disc or cup sits inside you, so expect a few leaks while you learn. BUT once you get it, it is radical!

  • Total period game-changer! I started with the disposable disc and was worried it wouldn’t work properly as I have a tipped uterus, but it started in place perfectly and was leak free all day! The only thing I don’t like about that one is the catch is a very crinkly texture which is a weird sensory thing for me. I bought the reusable silicone disc and the cleaner to use regularly and it’s amazing. I’ve noticed less cramps, no leaking, less need for my period underwear, and more comfort overall during my period. You can empty it throughout the day hands-free and it can be worn for up to 12 hours. Haven’t attempted the “mess free period sex” yet but I could see it being successful ;)

  • The flex menstrual disc has changed my periods! After going off of hormonal birth control, I struggled to find products that I feel confident with. I've always leaked with tampons, and the flex menstrual cup (along with other brands) didn't work for me. I received a free disposable disc when I tried the cup, and it was so easy and secure that I bought the reusable one and haven't looked back!

The disc probably isn't great if you don't have access to a private bathroom with a sink right next to it.

  • After my inexpensive Amazon silicon cups started to stain, I saw the reusable one at Target and bought on a whim. When I opened the packet, I was a little thrown off by the size. However, it went in smoothly and was easy to pop into place. I didn't not have any leaks or issues throughout the day. In fact, it was more comfortable than my previous cups as there wasn't a chance for it to slide down. I was also able to have period sex which I haven't done in ages and my husband didn't say a thing. Instructions were clear. Removal and cleaning were a breeze too.

  • Have been into trying innovative period products for almost 6 years at this point. I remember flex when they first launched and I was excited by their "have sex on your period" claims. Those claims are true but it's not like it has gone completely unnoticed by my partners. As an avid user of the menstrual cup I have certainly grown accustomed to touching my own blood and needing to "get in there" to place and adjust the cup. The flex requires that same willingness to come into contact with your own body but is much easier to insert and remove than a cup. I also appreciate the design of how it sits at the base of your cervix instead of using suction in your vaginal canal. Very innovative and nice to not have to deal with any suction.

    - It does leak. I really can't wear it on heavy days. It's best for last few days of a period. - Honestly if you + your partner are trying to get freaky on your period you might as well just put a towel down and roll with it. The flex isn't going to do much for you. - I really wish they made a reusable version the way Nixit has... The whole appeal for me to use a menstrual cup was to decrease my monthly menstrual waste to almost zero...
