Dossier offers high-quality perfume dupes at a good price, with many customers praising their range of scents and similar replicas to expensive brands. However, many reviews highlight that the fragrances do not last as long as the originals and there are some mixed opinions on the scent profiles.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I wish they sold a sample size, I did the quiz and bought one of the ones it recommended, but it was way too heavy for my preference. I like that they are cheaper than their counterparts, but I still feel like it's a little pricy. Still, I'd buy from them again.
I really really love this brand. I’m currently in the process of finding my “signature scent” and all I see are big labels with big price tags. Dossier makes amazing dupes of those high profile scents for a fraction of the cost. Their perfumes have long lasting wear and don’t take many spritzes to start smelling the scent!
Was originally skeptical but turned out impressed! The scent profiles are very good and mimic top-tier fragrances very well (and at a much better price point). The package is beautiful, and I loved the slightly magnetized lid. I'm a big fan and will definitely be repurchasing once I run out.
Good for the price but the quality isn’t great. The fragrance doesn’t last very long and the notes/complexity is lacking a little? I find that after an hour it started to smell pretty different and less like the original version it’s imitating. I bought 6 and only kept the le labo santal 33.
These do somewhat smell like your favorite expensive perfumes! The ones I chose were a little too musky for me since I was trying a new brand but the lighter scents are good!!
I was first introduced to the product but my sister-in-law at a wedding, she smelled amazing and I was more surprised to know that the perfume she was wearing was only $50. I immediately went on my phone and purchased but she was wearing, it's never disappointed me to this day. I am a big believer in getting dupes to expensive overprice products Dossier Does it every time.

Dupes are dope. I was looking for a dupe Killian's because I don't sleep on a mattress made of $100 bills. Go figure that I ended up buying the wrong scent. That's on me. However, I went through their site when I first ordered and picked out three other scents to try. I can't even remember what I have except Musky Musk. Maybe Amber Sandalwood is another decent I bought. The lasting power of the perfume is impressive. I have to be honest. When I'm buying something that's inspired by another product, I'm definitely skeptical. If it's a fraction of the cost of the other one, you get what you pay for, right? No. I was so impressed that a few months later, I bought my husband a few colognes for my husband. He loves them too. He also likes that I'm not dropping $200 on one perfume. Getting four for the price of one is definitely worth it if you're getting a quality product. I've tried other companies since buying from Dossier. I wanted to see what other companies had to offer as I know nothing about the "Inspired By" market. Needless to say, I went back to Dossier because of the quality. I found them on Google and threw caution to the wind. I do remember that shipping took longer than I wanted and that happened both times I ordered. I would love if they shipped things out the next day but I have realized that I need to expect to be chill when waiting to receive products from them. I'm sure you've figured out that I sit through the discomfort of my impatience because the products are worth it. Hopefully you find a scent that works for you. It's really true to the description on the website so pay attention to the various notes in the perfume or cologne. Cross reference the scents with other perfumes and colognes you like so you can get an accurate picture in your head as to what to expect. I'm happy that I stumbled upon Dossier. It's pronounced Doss-E- A. It's French. Just so you know. I heard someone on YouTube butcher the name and I felt bad for them, but they didn't what they didn't know. Now you know. I hope it helps!
I actually bought Dossier products with a friend, had I known they were known for dupes I would have bought more. I will say, the one I ordered smells amazing, but it doesn't last long in the air or on my skin!

transparency, how long the scent lasts

Love the concept and price point! I now have two fragrances from Dossier (the le labo santal and the Juliette has a gun dupes), and wear them both all the time. Don’t think I will ever buy expensive perfume! The bottles are also really luxurious, the cap has a very satisfying magnetic click to it

I would love to be able to get sampler packs! It was hard to pick a fragrance because I couldn’t visualize some of the scents if I wasn’t familiar with the perfume already. This is a general problem with online perfume shopping, but would love to see Dossier take a stab at fixing it!

5 stars for creating a near-perfect dupe for Tom Ford's "Lost Cherry" but docked a star because whatever is in the formula isn't as long-lasting as the original.
As someone who shops on a budget, but also loved high end fragrances I was so happy to find Dossier! They recreate some of the best scents inspired by high end luxury fragrances, but make them super affordable! I have also found that more often than not the scents from Dossier end up smelling even better than the scent they are inspired by!

If you order a scent and end up not enjoying it then don’t be afraid to return it! Dossier has a great return policy and great customer service!
I found the scents quite strong, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to wear for too long. The next day I smelled the shirt I was wearing and the scent totally mellowed. Maybe I picked the wrong scents for me. Their customer service was awesome and I returned without a problem.

I’m not sure. I think I need to sample scents as I’m not fond of too many.
I really wanted to love Dossier, but I do feel like I'm getting the cheap version of a nice perfume. I love the concept and the packaging is well done, but there's a reason high-quality perfumes often come in smaller packages. The way this bottle sprays, sends way too much content into the air. It's a but overwhelming. At the end of the day, the product feels like what it is: a dupe of something triple maybe even quadruple the price point.

Let's introduce a roller option?
Tiktok convinced me to buy the Santal 33 dup and I picked up a few others. It smells nice, but it doesn't have the long lasting impact of the high quality original. They are better when you don't compare them to what you think it should smell like. For the price, it's worth it.

There is a slightly alcoholic smell at first.
I got the Woody Sandalwood as a gift for my best friend. Specifically, she really likes Santal 33 but wanted to thoughtfully get her something that was at more affordable pricepoint so if she liked it she could continue to purchase on her own. Loved the scent, and definitely is a great Santal 33 dupe.
Great smell and very good quality product. From Grasse, France. I ordered 2 bottles, the one that is similar to Le Labo Rose & the one similar to Narcisso Rodriguez. They do not disappoint. Very happy with my purchase so far

Packaging could be a bit more elegant.
I love Dossier for a lower cost fragrance. I find that they don't last all day but for the price the scents are amazing

The scents might be a little off the originals, but I think they still offer a great product. I liked the le Labo rose and the knockoff of the Tom Ford black orchid. I wouldn't buy the oud again, though. My favorite part is that they have the little sample to try so you can decide if you want to return it, they make it so such an easy experience.
Smells great, but I swear it's more faint than a true perfume. I've had two different scents and thought both smelled diluted or not as strong as I had hoped.

I'm obsessed with the dupe for Le Labo The Noir 29--it's a fraction of the price but honestly smells identical to the real thing and I get so many compliments every time I wear it. It's not the longest lasting scent but I don't really mind because of the price point. Since I get sick of perfumes after a few months it's just not personally worth it to me to spend a lot of money, so Dossier is perfect.
