Reviews mention

  • Decadent chocolate-forward flavors
  • Vegan, gluten-free formulation
  • Clean, functional ingredients
  • Raw-or-bake serving versatility
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasional weird aftertaste
  • Dense, oily texture reports
  • Nut-based, cashew-inclusive recipes

DEUX earns polarized reviews: many find it genuinely delicious and satisfying—especially chocolate-driven flavors like Brownie Batter, Space/Cosmic Brownie, Mint Chocolate Chunk, and Birthday Cake—while critics cite off tastes (oat/chickpea notes), weird aftertaste, and dense or oily textures, particularly in Chocolate Chip and some baked results. Reviews praise its vegan, gluten-free, clean-ingredient credentials and spoonable, raw-or-bake versatility, but note flavor inconsistency, occasional heaviness/sweetness, and nut (cashew) limitations.

  • I was honestly expecting more. It was pricey and not worth the purchase. Flavor/taste wasn’t anything spectacular.

  • I've only tried the chocolate chip, but it was honestly way better than I was expecting. Seeing buzzwords like "enhanced" and "zinc & elderberry" set the taste bar pretty low for me, but it totally exceeded my expectations with a rich and decadent dough. It's delightful to spoon straight out of the container. Yes, I'd choose this over the classic, frozen dough rolls any day. Update: I'm now subscribed to their monthly delivery. No regrets.

  • The cookie dough came quickly and was absolutely delicious!

I'm knocking off one out of five since it is quite expensive. It's very good and I love a good, healthy substitute, but I wouldn't be able to justify a regular purchase.

  • It's so tasty!! I've bought their products multiple times and they're so yummy. I like the added healthy ingredients but don't love the sugar in there. That's my only complaint though - because their flavor is spot on

  • The most fun cookie dough, allergy friendly! It goes bad sometimes so I eat it quickly. It has given my family back a sense of childhood that was missed because of food sensitivities. Thank you deux for being the best on the market!

  • I honestly am not the biggest desert person so I feel like maybe I'm not the best person to review this - I ordered a bunch online - I was super excited about the Simply Elizabeth Granola collab that they did - and I had kind of mixed feelings on the flavors. I didnt love the granola one, I LOVED the birthday cake one, and then I actually could not get open the s'mores one that I ordered. I actually preffered them cooked to raw! The texture settled reallt nicely cooked and they taste like normal cookies. In the end, I just couldn't get through them all - perhaps because I ordered too many. I love the brand, their founder, their shark tank episode - I think they have a lot going for them and excited to keep watching them grow and try out some more flavors and the new donut holes!!

  • The brownie one is verrrryyyy delicious!

I would prefer if the chocolate chip cookie one tasted...more like chocolate chip cookies.

  • The concept is there with edible raw cookie dough that is supplemented with adoptogens- it sounds very cool in theory. However, I found this cookie dough slightly smells like hay and I cannot get them crispy. The smell is off-putting and the flavor is earthy. They come out gooey in the oven and I did not want to eat more than one cookie because of the taste.

  • There are limited options in-store. It smells delicious and looks enticing. It's a bit too sweet for me. The cookie is yummmy. I appreciate the vegan indulgence and its added nutrients, but I can't taste it (protein, collagen, vitamins). The price point is high for the quantity.

  • I love that these are gluten-free and still taste amazing. I love the founder and the messaging behind this company.

  • It was clear by the taste that this was not your typical cookie dough, and that is not a positive thing. The brownie batter flavor has a strange aftertaste. The texture is pretty dense, but I suppose compares to regular dough. I wish they had other flavors without cashews as an ingredient.

  • As a cookie lover, I will say that you can tell they don't taste AS good as something like Tollhouse cookie dough, but still a yummy, fun, healthier alternative that you can eat raw or bake super easily!

  • Love that it is nutrient-dense cookie dough that isn’t protein powder based. Also has natural ingredients in it.

  • It was super sweet and the texture was quite similar to cookie dough, even though you could kind of taste the vegan/gluten-free in it. Satisfies anyone's sweet tooth, but got overwhelming at a certain point. Probably wouldn't be my go-to dessert considering how heavy it was. Might just choose eating a regular cookie? Love the concept of being able to spoon straight from the jar or have ready-to-bake cookies. Not sure if I could feel the effects of maca powder/collegen, but it still made me feel like I was doing my body a favor.

Something about the packaging makes it feel like something you'd eat more than a couple tsps of. But when you do, the sweetness/density makes it overwhelming to do so.

  • This is pretty good cookie dough. I like that it has minimal ingredients, but also tastes great too. It is great to eat by itself or to make chunky cookies as well. The brownie batter was very rich and decadent.

  • I love cookie dough so much I'm so glad a discovered this brand. I hope they come out with new flavors!

  • i loved the cookie dough but the donut holes weren't that good in terms of taste.

  • Deux cookie dough somehow makes indulgence feel healthy, and I especially love the birthday cake flavor—wish I could recreate it at home. It’s a shame it’s getting harder to find in stores these days… maybe it didn’t catch on.

  • An underwhelming if not disappointing product. I mean it's great that it's gluten free and has protein and vitamins but it's kind of bland and dry. I tried to bake it and was super disappointed in how dry it was.

  • Surprisingly tasty and don’t leave you with the gross feeling some sweet things will after eating. I am usually able to find them at my local Whole Foods
