Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, guava-forward fragrances
  • Effective curl-defining treatments
  • Soothing, nourishing scalp oil
  • Thoughtful, modern packaging
  • Heavy, residue-prone formulas
  • Insufficiently clarifying shampoos
  • Overpowering, smoky-leaning scent
  • Inconsistent performance on fine hair

Ceremonia earns largely positive reviews for delivering glossy, frizz-tamed results—especially for curly, thick, and wavy hair—through standouts like Aceite de Moska, Pequi Curl Activator, Guava Leave‑In, and Papaya Scalp Scrub. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many formulas feel heavy or leave residue on fine hair, some shampoos lack clarifying lift, and the guava-forward scents skew strong or smoky for sensitive noses.

  • Absolutely LOVE all my Ceremonia products. The Aceite de Moska has helped with my dry/itchy scalp and their newest Guava duo (the Leave-in Conditioner and Heat Detangling Spray) smell like heaven and help with frizz and shine. These are my fave products and I've even gifted them to friends/family.

Would love a bigger Aceite de Moska

  • Love the scalp oil! Feels really nourishing and I feel like it helped bring some life into my hair. I do wish their other products were more hydrating, like the Guava leave-in conditioner. Nonetheless, great brand and excited to try more stuff.

  • I received a Ceremonia gift card for Christmas and now I am addicted. The papaya scalp scrub and deep conditioning mask have almost completely eliminated my scalp psoriasis. The Pequi curl activator is my favorite product- it leaves my curls voluminous and hydrated all day. I also like the curl refresher.

  • I have the curl cream and am obsessed with the smell and feel. It works great with my curls and really helps keep the ringlets together. I recently got the hair mask as well and after the first use, my hair was so soft! Would definitely recommend.

    Nothing!

  • Ceremonia's Guava Leave-In Conditioner and Guava Rescue Spray have changed the game for my hair. I used to have "meh" hair, but now I have "wowza" hair. It's like a guava goddess took over and blessed my locks with heavenly scent and superpowers. If you want to experience the magic too, give these products a try. Your hair will thank you, trust me.

  • Good products and can definitely recommend to people but not those with fine hair.

    A lighter, less heavy formulation

  • Honestly didn't love. Purchased the Papaya Scalp Scrub - don't feel like it did anything for me and I didnt love the smell/texture (compared to the other brands I have used like Christophe Robin).

  • The smell of this made me flash back to walking through a department store and making the unfortunate decision to let someone spray you with a perfume sample, only to realize, instantly, that you’ve made a grave mistake only a long hot shower will fix I can’t speak to the actual product’s efficacy, because I could not get past the overwhelming scent.

  • Love that this gel holds without being stiff or leaving a residue in the hair. It also smells really good. It washes out easily. This has been my go to for slick back hairstyles. I do wish they had a bigger size but overall I love the product itself.

  • Drool 🤤 The Ceremonia Perfume de la Tierra smells ah-mazing - as does their Guava Texturising Beach Spray. Both are winners in my books and smell so yummy. ❤️

  • Ceremonia’s Ocean Spray is fantastic! It has a refreshing, natural scent that makes my hair feel clean and nourished without being too overpowering. The formula is gentle yet effective, leaving my hair soft and shiny. Definitely a new favorite in my hair care routine!

  • I love that this isn’t an aerosol! I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen this type of packaging for a dry shampoo with a pouf for application. It helps give my hair a lot of volume and helps me just focus on the exact spot I want to apply it on my greasy roots. The packaging is much more travel friendly than other dry shampoo products. You also get so much more product than what comes in those cans which are mostly air!

  • Cannot say enough wonderful things about this brand! To know the ingredients are natural and sustainable is a huge plus. I love finding products that actually WORK! Currently using the scalp oil, shampoo scalp scrub and the conditioner. I love that the oil can go in overnight and not stain my clothing or sheets. Plus - it has an amazing smell. The following morning I will wash with the scrub and condition. This gets me set for the week and keeps my hair feeling smooth, healthy, weightless, and shiny! Hoping with repeated use and maintaining a healthy scalp, it will help with hair growth as well.

  • Love all the products they offer. The hair oil is the best product imo. It’s lightweight and my hair is soft and silky after using

  • Love that it's clean! I don't love the scents, but their deep conditioning mask is unreal in how good it is!

  • I'm so bummed! I wanted to love this brand and buy everything-- the marketing, packaging, and messaging all really sucked me in. The scents and line-up definitely enticed me and felt up my alley. I thought this would be a slam dunk!

I bought the thick hair shampoo and conditioner (full size) and leave-in conditioner at the Sephora sale. Enticed by the guava scent and branding and thought that the price was actually great for a full hair care set in this space. When I received the order, I was surprised by how small the bottles were. Explains the price seeming more reasonable. This ended up being the worst shampoo and conditioner I've ever used, I'm not sure I can finish it. It leaves a film on my hair, makes it LESS soft, and more limp and weighed down. Same with the leave in conditioner. It feels oily, not hydrating. The scent also smells kind of like guava... on fire. There's a smokiness. I don't hate it, but it's definitely smoky rather than tropical or fruity. I want to love Ceremonia! I keep getting hit with ads and thinking maybe I'll try again and I just bought the wrong thing... but then I wash my hair and I am reminded how terrible the experience has been. Better off with drugstore shampoo!

  • Luxurious shampoo and conditioner experience, but I don't think it quite worked for my hair. I have thick Asian hair. I loved how it smelled though and I love what the brand celebrates! I'm all for celebrating a brand's culture and its mission to uplift communities.

  • i use their detangler/heat protectant spray when i get out of the shower and i like it! unsure if i will rebuy but the smell is subtle and it never weighs my hair down. i think it makes a decent difference and i like that it is clean. cute packaging as well

  • This isn’t the most fragrant of fragrances in the sense that the the scent is not very strong. As a result, I don’t find the results to be long lasting. I’m cutting Ceremonia some slack because I think this is their first fore in the fragrance industry. If you are looking for a subtle floral and fruity fragrance, this might be the thing for you. This floral fragrance has notes of guava, violet, lemon zest, and peach. One thing I do like is that it this mist is alcohol free. The spray has a golden, sun kissed shimmer to it. Make sure you shake the bottle prior to use.
