CamelBak earns strong reviews as a durable, easy-drinking hydration brand that generally works well—its vests, backpacks, and bottles perform reliably for hiking, cycling, and daily use—while recurring complaints flag mold-prone straw/nozzles and plastic taste or limited insulation. Reviews praise long-lasting construction, intuitive lids like Chute Mag and Podium’s flow switch, and convenient ergonomics, but note cleaning complexity, occasional leaks, and scratch-prone plastic.

We purchased this for my son to use during his ski lessons. It was the perfect weight and it made it completely accessible and easy for him to still get off on the ski lift. On cold days he did say that the water got a little cold, but it was perfect to keep him hydrated throughout the ski season. We will use it hiking this summer and even possibly take it to Disney World.

One of the best waterbottles I have. Went hiking with it and it kept my water cool. Easy to clean.

Love the waterbottles they make, my personal favorite is the CamelBak Chute Mag 25 ounce bottle. It is the perfect size to fit in cupholders and I love that the lid for the mouthpiece is closed. Dishwasher safe and easy to take on the go.
I used to never leave the house without my emotional support CamelBak water bottle. The nozzle is incredible at getting you to drink more water than you otherwise would. However, I do think that it also is hard to clean. I've definitely spotted mold inside the chewy tip before that's super hard to get out.
I’ve had so many CamelBaks through the years. I love that their dishwasher safe and durable, but my big point of beef is that the straw/mouthpiece area always gets gnarly if you don’t really get in there with a special scrub brush. It will absolutely grow mold if you don’t. :(
While I loved these products while I had them—two large 30oz water bottles with straw and one small 10oz with straw—I had to throw them out! It was user error because my husband and I weren't cleaning them properly and the straw attachment mechanism was absolutely filthy and had mold. Everything else about the bottle and the soft straw's ability to dispense just enough water was great, but the maintenance is worrisome because I clearly couldn't get into every single crevice to ensure the parts were properly cleaned.
I have used CamelBak's backpack product, where it's a large reservoir of water in a backpack that you can drink on the go using a tube that connects it. I really like the concept, their product is amazing for staying hydrated. My only issue is that the water tends to taste kind of plasticky after a bit of use, which makes me want to use my CamelBak.
Very durable waterbottles, I'd recommend for hikers and outdoor travelers; personally, I prefer the insulation of a metal water bottle better.

My favorite water bottle brand despite all of the fads that have come and gone over the years. I have had the same camelbak water bottle for 10 years and it’s in awesome condition considering all that it’s gone through. So many water bottle sizes and compatible tops!
my go to for hydration packs and i love chewing on the silicon cap thingy. it's a bit hard to close and hard to tell if it's fully shut.

Don't love the plastic water bottles (I prefer my metal ones)... but they do have the best hydration vests out there.
CamelBaks are pretty much indestructible which is amazing, I have owned several in the past 10 years and have always enjoyed using them. The only thing I don't love is that they aren't insulated so water often gets hot quickly. Typically I would opt for another brand of water bottle/
Not the first water bottle that I grab on the shelf, but they work well. Scratch easily but they are 'old reliable'.
i tried both the bottles with a silicone straw and the twist off cap, and only like the twist off cap one. the straw bottle started growing mold no matter how much i tried to clean it. the bottles also tended to leak, which was quite annoying to find out after my backpack was soaked.
We've had one of their hydration backpacks for decades now and it still works great. Ours is usually used for hikes or paddle boarding for it's convenience over water bottles. Depending on your needs there are larger backpacks to fit both a hydration pack and other items (phone, snacks...)

A nostalgic favorite water bottle type. Nothing better than their straw configuration, though a little hard to clean.
So convenient and easy to drink from and bring along on the go, I love the straw function. Also free from BPA.
The CamelBak water bottle has streamlined my hydration routine. Its flip-top lid, durable build, and integrated straw make staying hydrated a breeze. The insulation keeps my drinks at the perfect temperature, and the handle adds convenience. While more color options would be great, the CamelBak water bottle remains my reliable and stylish choice for on-the-go hydration.

I have used CamelBak water bottles, as a cyclist, for many years. I was first exposed to the company in the late 1990s with their body-worn water bladders. I've always liked their products. I use their water bottles all the time during cycling season. My current versions have a rotating flow/no-flow switch on the mouth piece which does a perfect job of closing and opening the valve. I have both a white version and a black version of the Podium bottle. If I was to choose a negative aspect, it would be that the plastic body tends to give a "plastic smell". I know, funny enough. But that's my only complaint. Price is good, function is good. Smell is not so good.
