Cadence earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the magnetic, leak-resistant, customizable capsules streamline packing and look chic, but size, weight, and durability issues temper enthusiasm. Reviews praise organization, aesthetics, sustainability, and strong magnets for tidy travel; drawbacks include small internal capacity for liquids like shampoo, occasional leakage, hard-to-open lids when wet, heavier build, weak magnet linkage at times, and reports of cracking over months of use.

I love these! They're really helpful for travel and organization. I keep one in my work bag for medication, and I love how small and discreet it is. My only complaints are that I wish there was a bigger capsule for extended trips and one of my capsules cracked. (It's still functional as long as it doesn't hold anything oily.)
I love these capsules. I have maybe 13 of them now? I get different colors for different things (skincare vs. haircare vs. oral care, etc.), and it's made it really easy to use my products during traveling. I appreciate that they're magnetic, and their hexagonal shape means it's optimized for the surface area-to-volume ratio. The custom labels make it easy to store what I want—the only downfall here is if I end up no longer using a type of product (i.e., serum), then I'd have to either buy a new label chip or write on it to re-label it. I do love that this can help me cut back on single-use plastic. Two of my capsules appeared to be leaky when I had thinner liquids in them, but customer service was very responsive and helpful. One of them we ascertained was just due to user error (I filled it way too much, so it pushed out the sides upon closing). The other one still gave me issues, so they gave me a free replacement + additional capsule, and they've been investigating which manufacturer made that particular capsule so that it doesn't happen in the future.

I think whether they are the right size for you or not really depends on your routine. If you wash your hair every day, it's probably big enough only for a weekend trip. I personally went on a 2 week trip, and all of my sunscreen, skincare, and oral care (I use toothpaste/mouthwash tablets) lasted the whole time, with the exception of liquid make-up remover, which ran out after a week. I didn't run out of shampoo/conditioner and body wash/lotion, but that's only because I supplemented with products from hotels and such.

I won't lie that I was both very intrigued but very skeptical about these little containers. Will this actually hold enough? Are they really not going to spill? Wow. For a 7 day trip, the quantities for what I use (hair product and face wash specifically this round) were perfect. There was really very little chance of spillage given how secure these lids twist. Easy to get product out, and easy to close - which, in. the shower, the shape of the lid was clutch. I also like that, unlike the bottle, these are like easy to FULLY finish, then clean and either use for same or different product. My partner and I both ended this trip thinking wow, who knew Cadence's containers would become travel essentials?! Edit: So I've now had these for a year. The size has become a challenge, and a few have cracked - not enough to break, but weird that a travel item stored pretty securely during travel would have these challenges. Their new sizes look interesting but without the ThingDrop discount, I don't really see myself upgrading. Consider other options but if you're looking for an aesthetic that does work, Cadence is worth considering!

I recently purchased Cadence The Capsules and I am so impressed with them. They are leakproof, magnetic containers designed to help maintain my routines at home and away. I love the fact that they are customizable, so I can pick and choose the containers that I need for my specific routines. The capsules are also very easy to use and the magnets keep everything secure. I love the fact that I can keep track of my routines in one place and have everything organized. Highly recommended!

I love mine! I have 12 total, all in the same color and bought multiple labels so I can switch them out. They ARE smaller than I expected — the product photography makes them look bigger than they are. I only like using them for liquids that are less viscous because they do require you to dip your finger in there to scoop your creams out. Otherwise, if you pour the liquid, I find that it leaves the rim really messy.

Really great for short-term trips. I like being able the customization options, labels, colors, and the magnetic snapping.

Can be kind of hard to open and not good for long trips, especially for capsules/pills.
I received a gift certificate for these containers as a gift. They are aesthetically pleasing and I love that they are magnetic and stick to each other so I don't lose them. They fit about 2-3 days work of product. Some of mine have started to crack inside, but they still function and do not leak. I like that the lid labels are interchangeable.
Cadence travel containers are one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I had them. As a guy who travels a fair amount, I got tired of leaking face wash and guessing which mini bottle had what. These feel super sleek, they snap together magnetically, and they actually keep my stuff organized without the mess. They’re definitely a little bougie, but I like that they make my travel kit feel dialed-in. Honestly, they’ve turned packing into less of a chore. The biggest issue I have is that I don’t wanna have to upgrade the sizing just because the size I have doesn’t last for longer trips, so that’s something to consider when you’re buying.

This is a brand that you just feel great ordering from. I love their customer service experience and their team was helpful when I ran into an issue. Overall, I do think they're a little bulkier than travel size shampoo/conditioner bottles but they do offer flexibility and sustainability vs contantly repackaging. I always found that other reusable containers with a 'squeeze' were difficult as you got to the bottom of the bottle, so I don't think this container was more difficult to use. I still will keep using the more expensive skin products I need in travel size but love this for less risky items. Bonus -- this packaging is great for baby items like creams and sunscreen.
These are very chic, multi-use containers. I received a set of 6 as a gift, and have made several trips with them; I've put shampoo, face cream, pills, etc, and nothing has leaked so far. I also appreciate that the shape of the containers make them easy to store a variety of products (jewelry, face and body products, or vitamins). However, the containers themselves are quite bulky, compared to the amount of product you can fit in them. Given that these are about $14 per container, I wouldn't personally purchase them. I do think they would make a great, fun gift!
I received a set of 6 from a giveaway and then added a set of 6 from thingdrop – that's to say I liked them enough to want to get more, but at a discounted price. I do think they're pretty steep in price but understand there's a whole product development expense. But I've also had friends who have purchased them full price after seeing me use them. The magnetic aspect of it is nice for transport but otherwise I don't really keep them together since I primarily use them to keep pills or gummies in a grab and go sense. I prefer to keep the labels generic with an icon or blank so that I can label them myself since I use them for a variety of things (pills, lotions, sunscreen, etc.)

I received these products heavily discounted as a Thingdrop and was so excited to get them as I've been eyeing this product for a long time but couldn't justify the price. I absolutely love using these for travel, carrying around medications, and so many other usages. I just wish they had more options for discounts but the products are lovely!

Love these for myself, bought them for my best girlfriends for Xmas. Really great for travel and the gym. Perfect size for up to a 5 day trip for most daily routine stuff. Facial oil leaked so don’t use for that stuff!
Looooove my Cadence!! I have even bought more and am proud to use these whenever I travel or even when going into the office. I have used them for pills, facial serum, hair conditioner, and to store my necklace. Easy to clean, I take off the changeable tops and put them in the dishwasher (top rack) and ready to use again. love that they're magnetizing so keeping them together is so easy! Highly recommend!
I received the cadence capsules through a Thingdrop and definitely am mixed. I don't know that they are necessity for rhe regular price. They are stylish and useful but one of my capsules didn't close properly and spilled over everything else - not sure if this was my fault or the capsules. Overall, beautiful product but not something everyone needs.

I'm torn on these, I like them, but they are smaller than I had expected. If you are looking to use them for shampoo and conditioner I would say you're only going to get a weekend out of them. I like them better for my skin care products. They have lived up to being leak proof. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger. I have 12 of them and if I try to pick them all up it's not very easy as they move constantly. My last piece is I do really like the personalized ability for the labels at the same time I wish there was a way I could write on them instead. Overall they aren't great for trips longer than a weekend, but they are great for short weekend trips.

I really love these. They've been an incredible addition to my travels. I used to have to buy separate minis or check a bag to bring my full-size products. It has saved quite a bit of plastic now that I'm not buying leaky mini size toiletries. I purchased some of those mini silicone cosmetic spatulas to get the last bit of product out of the bottom and the combination of the spatula with the cadence pod is key. Only issue I've had (besides the relatively high price) is that I didn't buy the labels because I didn't know what I wanted to put in the pods. When I tried to put a label on them at home it didn't stick the best, but that's pretty low on the issue list. Would recommend these to anyone!

So much easier to travel with. Extremely handy and aesthetically pleasing.

I only give it a 4 instead of a 5 because when i use it for body wash & shampoo, it all overflows out the first time I try to access it.

Waited to use these on a trip prior to reviewing. I got these with a heavy discount from Thingdrop, and I do really enjoy them. They're great for face creams, medication, etc. They're not as good for liquids or things you need a squeeze bottle for, like toothpaste. I like that they help me stay organized, look nice, and enable me to bring my full face routine with them. However, they are heavy and I most definitely don't think they're worth it at full price.
Feedback
These are relatively heavy, typically not an issue. They're also pretty small so not as good for shampoo, body wash, etc.

The packaging is delightful - I love the thoughtful details.

I have yet to use these in the real word, but my first impression is that they look really nice, but they are HEAVY! I'm always trying to keep things light when I fly, especially in a carryon. I'm not sure I'll be using these for that purpose. Plus, they are small - I think okay for face creams and pills, but certainly not for shampoo.
