Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

I LOVE this pasta, but it isn't a perfect substitute for regular pasta. It has a specific umami flavor that I enjoy, but is definitely different from 'flavorless' wheat pasta. Great as a base for mac and cheese/etc but the noodles should ideally be undercooked, otherwise they fall apart really fast. But if you don't mind that, rock on! Also good as a cold salad because the coldnes helps the noodles have more of a firm texture. The premade pizza - can be skipped. It's just marketing. If you're looking for a gluten-free pizza with similar macros I'd recommend the Trader Joes cauliflower crust for a quarter of the price. Disappointingly low in protein for something that's majority chickpea. I can't speak to the standalone crusts as I've never had them!
They have amazing options for protein packed pasta. They pasta cooks fast and tastes great
I have tried several of these pastas. The issue I’ve found is that some get really mushy or they are very firm and rubbery no matter how long you cook them. It’s a trade off for higher protein pasta!
closest thing to real pasta that actually tastes good haha made out of chickpeas so it's naturally not going to be the best thing on planet earth... but it definitely does the job better than zoodles or anything of that sort. PLEASE DONT OVERCOOK IT!!! pairs best with alfredo sauce and pesto!
love the high protein content!! the ENTIRE experience/taste changed after realizing you don't cook banza like normal pasta (rolling boil the entire time) - turning the temp down to a simmer prevents it from getting mushy. love that the brand is continuing to innovate and branch out into new food groups, too!
Just as good as the "real" thing. Love the product and flavor variety there is definitely something for everyone.
Had the linguine and it was good, but still tastes like chickpeas a little depending on sauce.

A staple in our household. Banza lets you have a nice pasta dinner while actually getting a vegetable in. The texture can be a little funny -- don't let it sit out for even a second or it will all stick together forever! -- but I just add a little oil right away and it doesn't clump.
Top tier gluten free noodles, high in protein and minimal ingredients. I love that there are a variety of shapes where other brands only offer basic options.
When I was on a strict gluten-free diet n (medical issue), I tried this brand and found that it just missed the mark in terms of texture and flavor as compared to its gluten counterparts. The gluten-free diet is not for the faint of heart, as it is difficult to switch away from regular foods. The products are moderately priced and not overly expensive as compared to other gluten-free products. It would probably taste different to those who've never known anything else, but I decided it is not for me.
I really dislike the texture of Banza products. Be pasta or be nothing!

Easy to make and shockingly not weird-tasting. Pretty close to standard pasta.
I'm always looking for "healthier" options or alternatives and Banza always came up! I've tried a couple different pasta shapes from them and really enjoy the rotini for pasta salads! I like that I don't feel as bloated after enjoying since it's gluten-free and it doesn't taste any different than regular pasta. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to eat healthier or that needs gluten-free options! It does feel that there are less in the box than regular pasta so that would be my only complaint but I still find that I can get enough out of the box for several meals as intended.
This is my new go to for pasta now! Protein packed, tastes like regular pasta, texture is great. Just don't overcook it, it may fall apart (or that could just be my bad cooking skills). I will eat this with pesto, lemon, pine nuts, roasted tomatoes and kale. Sometimes I'll throw chicken in for an extra protein boost.
Great if you’re gluten intolerant but it just tastes a little off to me.
The banza mac and cheese is an absolute staple at my house. I have celiac disease and I buy banza with such confidence in the ingredients. Always gluten free. Always high quality. Taste is amazing. Always stays stocked in my pantry 💖

I really love Banza for what it is but definitely has a different texture than regular pasta. It’s a wonderful alternative to regular pasta though and well worth the price! I buy it frequently.
Personally, I don't think anything will replace real pasta....however, the taste and texture of these noodles tricks the brain enough to make it satisfying. I regularly have these in the pantry and haven't needed or wanted to try any other brands so they've become a staple.

As someone who steers towards gluten free food items, Banza is the most wildy available option. Their products are good but still have that “gluten free taste”. When smothered in a sauce, they taste great but I would not recommend eating plain.
I've tried so many Banza products over the years and have always loved them! My only wish is that they offered organic chickpea products since conventional chickpeas are heavily sprayed with pesticides
