Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I absolutely love their pizza. I dont eat gluten but I love pizza. The taste is delicious, the ingredients are clean. and it makes a perfect excuse for a fun pizza making date night.

  • Banza is a GREAT pasta alternative. It makes you feel like you are still eating pasta but without all the guilt because you are getting protein from it as well. I will say that some of the offerings are a bit grainy but overall it tastes like pasta! I havent tried their non pasta offerings but Im very interested to!

  • I love banza for getting in hidden protein. The texture can be weird for some people, and it can be a bit pricey but it's usually on sale at places like target or vons. The only thing is that the packaging says to cook it way longer than needed so keep an eye on it.

  • I use banza pasta as a substitute for regular and the family loves it! I personally did not notice a difference in taste from my usual pasta.

  • Recently I have been subbing traditional pasta out for Banza chickpea pasta and honestly I can’t tell the difference. Dress it up with marinara sauce, dress it down with garlic and oil…either way you will be impressed! Need to get my hands on the pizza!

  • I tried the pasta and it literally just turned to mush. I wanted to love but just didn’t.

  • I love Banza. The higher protein content is the selling point from me, as well as the gluten free aspect. I feel good eating their products, I especially love the frozen pizza, but I look forward to trying everything. A win for dietary needs !

  • I recently tried Banza and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The taste and texture of their pasta is fantastic. It's light and flavorful, and doesn't leave you feeling heavy or bloated like traditional pasta can. Plus, the fact that it's made from chickpeas means it's packed with protein and fiber. It's a win-win! I highly recommend giving Banza a try if you're looking for a healthier alternative to regular pasta. You won't be disappointed. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

  • My favorite gluten-free pasta! Love the protein and fiber content, and the texture holds up even in a next-day pasta salad.

  • Great high-protein and gluten free options! I can't speak to all of the products, but the mac and cheese is great, as well as all of the pasta variations. The texture is really good for a gluten free pasta and the protein content makes this an even better purchase. Beware of the starchiness of this product. It needs to be closely monitored on the stove, as the starch will occasionally need to be removed off the surface of the water. Tends to overflow easily, so cook at a lower heat!

  • I love how they make a bunch of plant based items available if you want a higher protein version of pasta / carbs. Super useful for cooking smartly

  • I’ve tried chickpea pasta and I enjoyed it. Nice way to eat healthier.

  • Ugh I wanted to like this so bad but it's just not for me. The taste is always lackluster and it's simply not worth the money in my opinion.

  • Banza grain chickpea covering pizza is a good and healthier alteration. it is easy — in minutes. I like it. Same with their pasta. Its indeed an alternate surface, somewhat harder, however, I don't mind the surface.

  • good for the protein conscious, texture will not be the same as regular pasta and will be both grainy and slimey (hard to get right, and often cook time is understated). once you get used to it, it's not bad.

  • Big fan of Banza! I love how they're constantly innovating with their products. I recently tried the pizza for the first time after being a longtime fan of the pastas. The pizza is a hit! It bakes really nicely and has much better macronutrients than some of their competitors (i.e. Caulipower). Super tasty and I feel healthy while eating pizza. win win!

  • Banza is a game-changer when it comes to pasta alternatives. As a health-conscious individual, I've always been on the lookout for nutritious and delicious options, and Banza certainly fits the bill. Made from chickpeas, this pasta not only provides a substantial amount of protein and fiber, but it also delivers on taste and texture. One of the standout features of Banza is its ability to maintain the al dente texture that is often associated with traditional pasta. It doesn't get mushy or grainy, which is a common issue with other gluten-free alternatives. The flavor is mild and versatile, allowing it to pair well with a variety of sauces and ingredients. Beyond its nutritional value, Banza's commitment to quality ingredients and sustainable sourcing is commendable. Knowing that I'm enjoying a pasta that is not only good for me but also better for the planet is a win-win situation. Whether you're gluten-free, health-conscious, or simply looking for a tasty pasta alternative, I highly recommend giving Banza a try. It's a pantry staple that has earned a permanent spot in my kitchen.

  • The pasta from this brand makes up about 70% of my caloric intake. It never hurts my stomach, always fills me up, and I desperately need the protein in it. Any pasta snob is going to know something is off, but I love the taste and the texture is spot on if you cook it right

  • Their pasta actually tastes good & has a great texture for chickpea pasta! Way better than other brands & also is offered at a reasonable price for a healthier option.
