Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel chocolate
  • Inventive, memorable flavor lineup
  • Chunky, satisfying bar format
  • Ethical, mission-driven sourcing
  • Overly sweet chocolate profiles
  • Thick, hard-to-break pieces
  • Inconsistent caramel texture hardness
  • Limited higher-cacao dark options

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

  • love this chocolate ingredients, and taste.

  • I bought their 5 pack sampler. I love the mission and the chocolate is good and worth it. My only complaint is that there was minimal variation in flavors between the different bars. I'd personally just stick to the plain chocolate.

  • love that it's an ethical product. tasty and so fun that you can design custom bars on their website!

  • Great chocolate from one of the few brands I trust for producing slavery-free chocolate. After learning about the relative oligopoly within the cocoa industry, it is hard not to pay attention to cocoa sourcing. This brand has an excellent mission, produces great chocolate, and is a good value for the quality provided. I highly recommend!

  • The best flavors! I love to use these to elevate s’mores at home when friends come over. Such a treat!

  • Love a brand with a mission! Came across Tony's Chocolonely in Amsterdam, fell in love instantly with the packaging. They come in fun, quickly colours. The chocolate itself is yummy, a little dense for my liking but really good quality! They would be perfect gifts for someone who likes something sweet.

  • not worth it price wise if you're just buying normal chocolate like white, dark... Worth it for their unique flavour ones like raspberry, stroopwafel, brownie, etc.

  • I need to come back to this one. I've heard great things about this chocolate, but something tasted off about the bar that I tried. It just wasn't as creamy or chocolate-y as I had hoped for the price. I'll update this review when I try again!

  • some of the best chocolate i've tasted! the flavors are great too. the dark chocolate almond is perfect for those who want a sweet treat but nothing too sweet.

  • I love Tony's Chocolonely! It's a chocolate brand that is dedicated to making the chocolate industry more sustainable and ethical. Tony's Chocolonely chocolate is made with 100% slave-free cocoa, and the company is working to make the entire chocolate industry slave-free. Tony's Chocolonely chocolate is also delicious! It comes in a variety of flavors, including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and even chocolate with inclusions like nuts, caramel, and sea salt. I've tried a few of Tony's Chocolonely flavors, and I've loved them all. My favorite flavor is the milk chocolate with caramel and sea salt. It's so rich and creamy, and the caramel and sea salt add a perfect touch of sweetness and saltiness. Another thing I love about Tony's Chocolonely is that the company is very transparent about its supply chain. On the Tony's Chocolonely website, you can see a map of all of the cocoa farms that the company sources from. You can also learn more about the company's mission to make the chocolate industry slave-free. Overall, I highly recommend Tony's Chocolonely to anyone who loves delicious chocolate and supports ethical and sustainable business practices. Here are some of the pros and cons of Tony's Chocolonely: Pros: Delicious chocolate Variety of flavors Made with 100% slave-free cocoa Company is committed to making the chocolate industry slave-free Transparent about supply chain Cons: Can be a bit more expensive than other chocolate brands Overall, the pros of Tony's Chocolonely far outweigh the cons. • Tasty flavors and fun packaging but it's just chocolate. Not sure I would pay this much repeatedly.

  • Love the products and what the company stands for. I also love how the bars are broken up with a higher mission in mind.

  • White raspberry popping is the most unique flavor profile I’ve ever tried. A

  • This is the best chocolate bar on the market!! The chocolate is so good for the price, and I love all of the different flavors. The way the bar is divided is interesting, and I like how I can get different size pieces when breaking it up. The perfect chocolate bar for a sweet pick me up. I can't wait to try their minis!

  • While I find the bars a bit chunky I love the story and the mission! Sometimes I think their flavor profiles aren’t quite as well executed as other brands but I will come back to them because chocolate is a tough industry and I trust them to have good practices. Their brand is fun and funky and the bars are fun to unwrap despite being a bit thick.

  • It's good tasting chocolate but the amount of greenwashing they do is almost embarrassing.

  • Tony's is so good and has the most delicious flavors! With the large size, you get a lot for your money and the chocolate is high-quality. The fun packaging makes these an amazing gift topper and I love the delightful & unique piece shapes. Definitely recommend!
