Thinx earns polarized reviews: many report it works—comfortable, leak-preventing overnight and on light-to-moderate days with stylish high-waist, boyshort, and thong options—yet significant concerns surface. Reviews cite PFAS scandals, inconsistent sizing and fit, lingering odor, limited absorbency and edge coverage for heavy flow, bulk in higher-absorbency styles, and durability issues like fraying elastics and seams.

My periods have been historically difficult, and sometimes, the flow comes on incredibly hard at night. This unexpected nature means I have ruined more than my share of sheets. NO MORE! Thinx is saving me. I have two pairs of shorts and four pairs of underwear, which I use in conjunction with Flex.
Feedback
I would size up in all pairs.
I hate using tampons and I wanted something more environmentally friendly to use during my period. I love having Thinx to use. My favorites are the sleep shorts and the high-waisted ones. They are so comfortable and easy to clean.

The only thing that I don't really like is they can smell if I don't wash them within a day of using them. So it's just a little more work to use and clean them each month.
Sizing can be a bit unreliable, but I do like THINX's underwear, especially when free bleeding. It's comfortable, and it works. I think that it's good for a reusable option, but I do find that they need to have better cuts and more consistency. They've improved over the years, along with size inclusivity, but I wish they had more heavier flow options!
Underwear itself is so comfortable and doesn't feel too thick considering how supportive it is. Unsure how Thinx can solve this but on heavier flow days it can start to feel gross after a few hours, and this can then only be solved by changing your underwear the same way you would a napkin/pad. Perhaps a heavier and even thicker version is needed for more absorption. Also would appreciate washing tips post use!

Love! What a freaking game changer. Not only durable based on the heaviness of your period but you literally feel like you’re helping the planet and savings on a monthly basis. Haven’t worn it post partum but will try in a few months.

Better faqs on cleaning — it’s honestly not fun to do and I’m sure folks like me could use guidance on this.
I loved these except for the fact that they were overpriced... until I found out they were made with chemicals (PFAS) that can cause infertility in women -- literally known as "forever chemicals." I would like my money back.
Feedback
Remove all PFAS from product and reimburse all purchases from when the product contained harmful chemicals

I get that Thinx might not work for a lot of people and I can totally understand why, but they work for me, and I am *so* thankful. After not having a period for 10+ years, I was not ready to go back to wearing tampons once I got off birth control. I am hashtag blessed with a relatively light period that lasts 3-4 days, so I can wear Thinx underwear without any other protection, and have never really had any leaks or other issues. I even wore these when I lived without a washer and dryer (I just took them in the shower with me.) Again these might not be as easy breezy for people with heavier periods, but if it meant even one or two days not having to wear a tampon, it would be worth it to me.

I'm used to wearing cotton underwear, so the materials aren't the most comfortable, though I get why they need to use them. They do also feel a little bulky sometimes.

Ive always hated pads and tampons, and my cup would sometimes overflow. these were the perfect solution as a back up on my heavier days, and as easy wearing on my lighter days. Washing them is a bit tedious though, as they need to be soaked for a while and rinsed before washing and then laid flat to dry, but this doesn't detract form how great they work. they are a bit pricey but I feel the price is worth it for the convenience you get from them.
Have one pair from long ago and they are still alive, sadly just too snug right now. I do recall sizing up when I bought them though. They run small.
Love this products! They are way more comfortable than any other option. They are not totally leak free though, so be mindful of it. For me, it works 80% of the time, with the other 20% being the heavy days or hours. My favorite is boyshort, super comfortable and even good looking.

I feel like they are experimenting with the heavy options to find the right shape and I hope they find it!!
Free bleeding and Thinx briefs are made for each other! They are so comfy and hold so much blood without feeling damp or smelling. I definitely feel more comfy using these than using a pad. The briefs feel high quality with a thick spandexy fabric that feels so nice and secure when you’re cramping and bloated. I also love that now Thinx are accessible at stores like CVS!

The only thing I would like is more colors and patterns!
So convenient! It's especially been a lifesaver with a new wfh life. Saving money, saving applicators, etc. out of landfills, and actually comfy, win-win-win.
I love thinx. I used for many years mostly just at night, or during the day as a tampon back up just in case. Had 3 pairs and that lasted me great with washing for my periods for many years before I stopped getting it after getting an IUD.
So glad to be in this day and age where products for periods like this exist. The underwear have held up over many washes. The shorts do fit a little oddly on my bottom. I have to be very careful in choosing which pants to wear when wearing my Thinx underwear also, because you can see the lining of the heavy padding through the pants many times.
Thinx was the first brand of period underwear I ever bought. I purchased their signature Hipster styles, their active style, and their seamless bikini. All of the styles I bought had slight fit issues. They either sat too low on my hips or were too tight in the leg or waist band. They absorbed the amount of blood they said they would on the website, but none of them would last long on a heavy day. My main dislike of the Thinx brand came with the news stories of PFAS being found in the fabric they use. For a brand that is supposed to be more environmentally friendly, you would think it would be safe for human use as well.

It holds a lot of blood. Just don’t like the smell from the product.
I love the idea of period underwear for nighttime use. However, thinx felt plasticy, uncomfortable and didn’t really give me the stretch I wanted. It actually felt like i was wearing a diaper. Found another brand that actually felt like wearing regular undies. Thinx went into the trash.

Man, I used to love Thinx. Used them every cycle, raved about them to my friends. But I think this latest lawsuit against them is pretty shocking--enough that I threw out all of my Thinx underwear and have gone back to other period products. Too bad!
Feedback
Do your research before you buy these--the folks who sued them made a pretty compelling case that there were harmful toxins in the underwear
Thinx did get me on-board with sustainable period underwear, but I do not recommend this brand. They don't last as long as others on the market, the price point is incredibly high, and they have had a lot of negative PR over the years.

I loved these for the first few months but they very quickly lost their absorbency and lead to some serious leaks. They're a pain in the ass to wash and maintain and have recently been under class action lawsuit for PFAs. It's a great concept, but I don't think the technology is there yet. Plus for the price you actually aren't saving money.

They were really great about doing an exchange when I bought the wrong size.
