Therabody earns strong reviews for delivering powerful, ergonomic recovery tools—Theragun and TheraFace notably ease soreness, speed post-workout recovery, and relieve jaw tension—yet the brand draws criticism for loud operation, overly intense lowest settings, bulky/heavy designs, and inconsistent battery longevity. Reviews also flag doubts about certain LED benefits and app utility, plus occasional durability issues and poor support, making Therabody highly effective but not universally comfortable or fuss-free.

I bought a Theragun Pro about 3 years ago -- I have fibromyalgia and deep knots, and this percussive device had amazing reviews. Sadly, it just sits in storage and I'm genuinely hesitant to use it. First, it's VIOLENT. I have pretty incredible pain tolerance, prefer really aggressive massages ("bruise me or lose me", y'all), AND I'm used to regular physical therapy work that is more in the torture camp than cathartic. I actually enjoy a degree of cathartic pain. However, this thing feels like ... being agitated in an old-fashioned washing machine, while having jackhammers remove deep layers of concrete on top of your body, while being resented by your partner for involving them (you will be going Owowowow! or Agghhhhh! or Whyyyy!). Second, you MUST involve someone else -- partner, friend, PT coach. The website will lie and claim that you can angle it (with the adjustable head) to work on yourself but a) You can't achieve this for probably 75% of your body and b) Even when you can, it's too violent to hold in place and receive the "therapeutic benefits" at the same time. It wants to jump out of your hands. Third, the price isn't justifiable AT ALL. I regret spending that much on an therapy device that I don't use. Furthermore, you can get the same kind of item, only less violent, for far, far less money. Is it "the best" because it has more power? Depends on if you prefer using power-tools versus therapeutic devices on your already ailing body. Just no. That being said, it does do what it says it'll do ... beat the hell out of you with more power than any other brand. :-/

SO intense! gets far deeper than any other massage gun i’ve tried. several chiropractors have used this on me, and when i’ve used it at home it radiates so deep that the childhood trauma i have stored in my hips releases itself in seconds.
I have the theragun mini and it is perfect. I can bring it anywhere with me and I always pack it for ski vacations to sort my legs out after day 1. I also have chronic neck pain which the soft attachments help alleviate. I ALSO suffer from migraines and will put the soft attachment directly onto my face for relief. This is a nice little treat for someone with chronic pain :)

We have the little sized massage gun and it's perfect for travel. Was purchased as a gift and is used frequently. The small size is really nice for travelling.
Theragun mini is where it’s at.
Have really enjoyed the few products I have tried from this brand. Definitely an investment but my husband and I have gotten a lot of uses out of the massage guns we have purchased.

The theraface is 100% worth it. I love mine. I also have a nuface but I like theraface's microcurrent attachment better, it feels stronger, has a better battery life and the other attachments are great too!
I only have the theraface and im a huge fan. It really has helped my skin but also facial muscles and jaw pain
My 60+ parents began using theraguns and love them.
Theraguns are absolutely amazing. I feel instantly relaxed after using it on tense shoulders or after working out.

Great product but pricey.
I've absolutely loved our theragun. We purchased the Theragun pro, and it's helped with recovery, sore muscles, and built-up lactic acid in my muscles (which causes me issues sleeping). The shape is great, and makes it difficult to reach difficult spots around your body.

The product is quite heavy. I'm sure this is for sturdiness, but it does make it difficult to hold for long periods of time.
Everyone in our family pushes themselves a little too hard -- whether it's sitting too long for work, running too many miles after sitting too long, or playing tennis or other sports for hours. The Therabody is just the right tool to work out those sore muscles. It's an investment. But, it's convenient and less expensive than weekly massages.
Amazing. I love the big and mini gun. I have the worst knots and especially back pain.
Is it a little loud? Yep. Was it a splurge to buy? Yep. Is it freaking awesome? You better believe it. I use my Theragun a few times a week, sometimes more if I'm sore or have an ache that bothers me. It's pretty straightforward; pick the right attachment, adjust the angle so that you can massage the area that needs work (or don't if you're lucky enough to convince your partner to help), and then go to town. It's about as easy as it gets, and in terms of relief and relaxation, it does a great job. The Theragun isn't a replacement for a good massage, let's be clear about that, but it is a fantastic supplement, and something you can do on your own, in a span of about 5 minutes, to get some improvement if you're hurting. I also occasionally like to use the Theragun before hockey games or surfing, to warm up muscle groups that are prone to tightness, and it's great for that. My only gripe is the volume, but I don't know how you avoid it.

See above...mainly complaints about how loud my Theragun Pro is. I think I have the last version, and knowing that the new version is supposed to be quieter makes me a little sad. Maybe a trade in program for people like me who can't / won't buy the newest model every time, but would definitely consider a trade in if it meant a quieter model.

Love everything about this product. I tested this and a competitor and after 2 years of consistent daily use, it works just as well now as it did the day I got it. The competitor? Not so much. I can't wait to try more (the facial massager especially!)
Have the Theragun Mini and l'm loving it. Helps relief some of my aches and pains. Definitely pricey, but was able to get it on sale. The size is great and durable.

Lowering the price
I got the Theragun Pro almost a year ago as a gift. I'm an avid gym-goer and use this frequently to help treat sore muscles. It charges quickly and keeps a charge well. Really only use one or two of the interchangeable heads that came with it, but it is nice to have options. Very user friendly and has a sleek design.
I got the Theragun for Christmas 2 years ago and I'm still obsessed with it. I personally hate getting massages (even when I really need one) and this is especially great for my tight hamstrings. Definitely watch the video tutorials for each muscle group to make sure you're targeting the right areas and not getting hurt.

You can't beat the Therabody brand. The theragun is a life changer, and I love the vibrating foam roller. I work in a therapy clinic and these are by far the best quality ones I've used - even though they're pricier than I'd like for them to be.
I love the theragun. It is much more powerful than the typical knockoffs. It is also more ergonomic and easy to use / fit in your hand.
