Therabody Reviews

Best of Thingtesting4.5

Therabody earns strong reviews for delivering powerful, ergonomic recovery tools—Theragun and TheraFace notably ease soreness, speed post-workout recovery, and relieve jaw tension—yet the brand draws criticism for loud operation, overly intense lowest settings, bulky/heavy designs, and inconsistent battery longevity. Reviews also flag doubts about certain LED benefits and app utility, plus occasional durability issues and poor support, making Therabody highly effective but not universally comfortable or fuss-free.

  • I have had the Theragun massager for a few years now and whilst i think it's a great device, i rarely use it. I mainly have issue with my shoulder and i find it very heavy and difficult to use on that spot on my back. But i am still giving it 3 stars because for the right person it can be a great option.

  • I have had Theraface for 2-3 years now and still use it frequently! I love to use it for face massage and after lymphatic drainage. I am not quite sure if LED light is effective, I have tried blue light on breakouts a few times and did not notice any difference in "healing"

  • I received a Theragun Prime Plus as a gift from my Father for Christmas a couple years ago. I’ve used it a total of 8-12 times. It no longer charges or turns on, not even when plugged in. I understand that it is out of warranty. However, I feel they offered NO solutions or assistance for a nearly $500 Theragun. Just, “it is what it is…Sorry that the battery doesn’t work anymore, we’d love to help you purchase a new one for your health needs”. I inquired about sending it in and paying to have it serviced; purchasing a replacement battery; sending it in for root cause analysis; if there was a an incentive to purchase another one or trade the broken one in? I was told “no” at every turn. I hate to throw it away. It is pristine and could pass for a brand new one. I also think I’ll have to pay to recycle the battery since you’re not supposed to dispose of lithium in the trash. I’m pretty disappointed that a $430+tax & shipping Theragun doesn’t last longer than a couple of years. It hasn’t been on the sidelines of an NFL team. We are talking five or six times a year and it failed. Typically when you pay a premium price you get premium quality and premium service in return. I’d suggest going down to your local Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and picking one up for $20-$40. It will last about the same amount of time or longer at fraction of the cost. Don’t get caught up in the marketing scheme! Just my experience and my two cents.

  • I like the idea of these smart goggles but they are reallly big. Definitely feels bulky to wear and bring around in person but would be suitable at night and the weighted element feels nice. FYI they also are very loud. I don’t know if I’d wear them on airplanes (as pictured in ads) and wasn’t expecting them to be so loud. Cute packaging though and could make a nice gift!
