Reviews mention

  • Powerful percussive performance
  • Ergonomic triangular design
  • Long-lasting battery life
  • Sleek, travel-friendly mini
  • Noticeably loud operation
  • Occasionally weak battery longevity
  • Heavy, bulky devices
  • Overly intense lowest setting

Therabody earns strong reviews for delivering powerful, ergonomic recovery tools—Theragun and TheraFace notably ease soreness, speed post-workout recovery, and relieve jaw tension—yet the brand draws criticism for loud operation, overly intense lowest settings, bulky/heavy designs, and inconsistent battery longevity. Reviews also flag doubts about certain LED benefits and app utility, plus occasional durability issues and poor support, making Therabody highly effective but not universally comfortable or fuss-free.

  • This is really effective. I've been gifted a percussion massage gun before that wasn't Therabody, but it just didn't hit the mark. I'm not necessarily a brand snob, but you can't match Therabody. It's just better.

  • I had a massage gun I bought on Amazon that died after 4 years. Luckily it was right around Christmas and my in laws gave us a Theragun, the standard one. Wow, what a difference. The intensity is so much stronger than the one I used to have and I almost never use it above the low setting. I also enjoy all the different attachments. Battery life is good, and we’ve had it for a year and a half without an issue. Definitely would recommend. We don’t use the app though.

  • This is an incredible product. I got it for my boyfriend as a gift and use it all the time. It's perfect for after a long day and so easy to use. The charge lasts a long time too.

  • These are great for muscle recovery and have helped my quads be less tight. They are sleek and easy to handle. Just be careful bro to use them on you neck - it’s a little dangerous!

  • LOVE. It is amazing after runs, for tension headaches. There are so many uses!

  • This $300 dollar purchase is worth it! I bought it as a gift for my mother and she uses it all the time…and lets me borrow it. It’s great for muscle soreness and deep tension, and easy to use. It is clearly well-made and effective. Even though it’s a splurge, it’s cheaper than going to get massages if you use it often enough. It’s a great product and I wish I bought one for myself.

  • I love my theragun, i use it all the time! its super helpful for sore muscles but for me it really helps me when my muscles are tight from nerve issues. its the only thing i find that helps when stretching is not an option for me

  • I have the Theragun mini and I think it really helpful to work out soreness after a tough workout. I also use it on my neck/back/shoulders when I feel still from sitting at my computer. I think it really helps. Great alternative to foam rolling and covers more areas of the body. The mini is portable and not too heavy but still powerful.

  • I have the Theragun mini - got it from the refurbished section for half price and you'd never know it wasn't new. Three speeds, interchangeable heads, works like a charm to beat the lactic acid out of my forearms or when I'm getting a cramp. Sleek, simple design and high functionality - what's not to love? Also, have had it for years and haven't had any issues like I've heard friends having with lesser brands.

  • Anytime a friend has a theragun around, I always make sure to use it - it works wonders for me personally, it always makes my post-workout cool down so much more enjoyable and I would absolutely recommend this tool to anyone.

  • If you have any body aches, or chronic pain, I would highly recommend buying a Therabody. It is a super high-powered machine and helps instantly. It is an investment, but it works wonders .

  • As a person who has always had back pain, this thing is amazing. It gets deep into the muscle and gets it to calm down. Also great for pre workout. Also love the infrared light to warm it up

  • The Theragun Prime cannot be beat. A few years ago, I tried to save money by purchasing a Sharper Image massage gun, and within a year the battery died. I received the Theragun Prime as a gift and honestly cannot believe how I slept on it. I should have just spent the money. It's heavy but feels amazing and I love it with a passion.

  • Their massage devices, particularly the Theragun, are effective for relieving muscle tension and soreness after workouts. The design is user-friendly, and the multiple attachments cater to various muscle groups, making it versatile for different needs. While the price point may be on the higher side, the quality and effectiveness justify the investment for anyone serious about fitness and recovery. Overall, Therabody is a great choice for those looking to take their recovery routine to the next level.

  • I have a Physical Therapist family member that was so obsessed with this brand, he brought it to a family gathering a few years ago and everyone who tried it was pleasantly surprised. Very powerful vibration. Once you got over the jiggle bias from past inventions like the shakeweight and such, you realize upon testing that this is a seriously helpful device that targets where you need it. I have chronically tight calf muscles from too much ballet as a kid, and this helped loosen them for a time. Theres a bit of a learning curve though of where your muscles are and what connects with what and don't linger over bone.

  • If you aren't obsessed with this brand, you should be. I think everyone should own at least one Theragun. After an intense workout or if I'm feeling stressed this has become my favorite self massager...even better if you can have a friend or partner use this on you. Big Fan!

  • A very famous (and expensive) tool that both my kids (who are athletes) tried: Pros: - changeable pressure -sore muscle relief Cons: - battery life (doesn’t last long) - can be cumbersome to travel with In short, it’s ok. For the price though- I’d skip.

  • Amazing! Expensive but so worth it if you work out or just need to release tension. Great christmas gift! It is something most people do not know that they need.
