SodaStream earns strong reviews for making crisp, customizable sparkling water and sodas that are fast, user-friendly, and durable, with many noting years of reliable performance and reduced waste. Reviews also flag drawbacks: syrup flavors skew artificial or “medicinal,” carbonation tuning can feel fussy, plastic feels flimsy on some models, and CO₂ replenishment or bottle cues can be inconvenient.

  • I've been using the Sodastream Terra constantly since getting it. I drink so much sparkling water that it honestly just makes sense and it's nice not constantly carrying cans home from the grocery store. It's really easy to use and somehow making sparkling water yourself makes it feel a little more fun haha.

  • My soda stream is almost 10 years old and it still works really well! It's great quality for the price and you can save using a lot of cans / waste by using this for soda / sparkling water instead of buying cans.

  • We purchased the Sodastream over the holidays to add to our beverage station. We use it for mixed drinks, mocktails, and Italian soda. It was a great addition to our beverage station as you never have to worry about "flat soda" or running out of mixers.

  • I used to work as a SodaStream sales assistant, making tasters for customers daily. It’s quick, easy to use, and I love that you can control the intensity of the bubbles. I’m not a fan of synthetic ingredients, so the mixers don’t appeal to me. If I want flavoured sparkling water, I’d rather add berries or other natural ingredients. That said, their CO₂ cylinder recycling program is a great initiative!

  • Great machines, and the new ones seem to be stepping up their design! I had a sodastream machine for a while, but I ended up giving it to my brother as I do not drink enough sparkling water. I love that you can customize your levels of carbonation.

  • I bought a friend Sodastream for his birthday and he loved it. Its so easy and convenient to make your own sparkling water. The flavors are fun and saves a ton of money if you are buying & drinking sparkling water often!

  • I love my soda stream. Crazy to admit but I used to drink 4/6 cans a sparkling water a day. yickss that's a lot of waste. Soda stream changed the game from me, it continues to save me a ton of money and has helped me cut back on my waste quite a bit. I also love how creative you can get with mix ins. It makes mocktails really fun.

  • Its alright, but i feel like too much work. would love a system with a water tank

  • I love mine but I wish it was easier to know if your bottle is running low!

  • I wish it were easier to get non-plastic bottles! Love the goal of this product, even if the reality for me is that it doesn't get used as much as it should. The CO2 exchange is very convenient - I was worried it wouldn't be easily accessible, but it is. To note: the water flavor is reliant on the quality of the water you use. (might be obvious, but let's say your tap water doesn't taste good, your sparkling won't be any better)

  • The Sodastream is super quick and easy to use. It’s pretty cool that you can control the intensity of the bubbles with each bottle you make. My husband isn’t a fan of using the mixers as they have a medicinal taste to them so he just drinks it natural or mixes it with juice. You get a lot of CO2 out of one canister and they have a pretty neat recycle program. If you are into carbonated beverages this is a great addition to your kitchen.

  • Really good for making anything from basic fizzy water to DIY soft drinks or other flavoured drinks with the widely available syrups. I often make my own Pepsi Max which was so much more cost effective than buying bottles, and the taste was not too much different, plus I could adjust the amount of fizz I wanted. I also just fizz water and add lemon or zero sugar water flavouring and it's a simple way to make a bottle of drink. My gas(?) bottle has lasted ages.

  • SodaStream is a great way to create sparking water or soda with low sugar. And it’s easy to use.

  • One of the best purchases. We use our SodaStream constantly. Multiple times a day. It’s held up perfectly for over five years with zero issues. It’s super easy to use, fast, and a great way to cut down on buying sparkling water. The only bummer is that the newer models aren’t as minimalist as the older ones. They still work well, but I preferred the less-is-more design of the previous versions. When I needed a second one for my other house, I actually went with a different brand because I liked the aesthetics better. That said, for performance, Sodastream is great.

  • I bought the one-touch version six years ago and it's still going strong. The three option buttons make it so easy to carbonate. The plastic is a little flimsy and it's too tall to fit under my cabinets, but I drink enough carbonated water to make it 100% worth the space. Plus the environmental factor is amazing - they have a tank refill program with Target (and Staples, prob other places too), and I'm not using single-use plastic or even aluminum that needs to be recycled and processed. I bought a few extra fizzing bottles and keep them full in my fridge for cold sparking water at a moment. Big fan of this thing.

  • This product is amazing. I love that it is so user friendly and there are different sized bottles so you can make different quantities.

  • The SodaStream itself is great. However, I don't exactly use it like you're supposed to. Their flavors are not that great. They taste about the same as the generic versions. However, if you're careful then you can carbonate things other than water. I carbonate lemonade, and it makes it 10 times better. They don't recommend this, but you just have to be careful so it doesn't overflow.

  • A good idea when you want to save some bucks. We only drink water from the tap (in Germany it is very highly regulated and tastes good). But sometimes you need a little sparkle and that's where soda stream offers various choices. I only find it a bit high priced but the price has come down a bit since more and more competitors have entered the market.

  • Absolutely love how simple and convenient it is to make sparkling water for cocktails, sodas, and everything in between! Even just drinking it unflavored is more enjoyable than plain water for me. The cannisters lasts for ages, and I'm able to exchange them for new ones at my local Target!
