SodaStream earns strong reviews for making crisp, customizable sparkling water and sodas that are fast, user-friendly, and durable, with many noting years of reliable performance and reduced waste. Reviews also flag drawbacks: syrup flavors skew artificial or “medicinal,” carbonation tuning can feel fussy, plastic feels flimsy on some models, and CO₂ replenishment or bottle cues can be inconvenient.

I tried the SodaStream with our good friends, and I was very impressed! Tasted great, had lots of flavours, and was easy to use. As someone who drinks a lot of carbonated water beverages, I would definitely like to have one in my own home!

No complaints! Does what it intends to - makes soda out of your water. Easy to use. No electricity needed. Only thing you need is your water and a CO2 canister. Getting the CO2 canister could be challenging to some people, and was hard to find during COVID, but that's improved and they are easier to get now. There are some simple calculations you can do to see if this will save you money over buying sodas. This can save you money depending on how you use it, but it's also a more sustainable way to sustain your soda habits.
Really like the product and it's saved me a lot of money and recycling since I no longer buy seltzer! I do wish there were some better flavorings out there though. Nothing I've had quite replaces the flavors of some canned seltzer. Also wish exchanges were more consistent since I've gone to stores that were out of new CO2 canisters for weeks.
Really helped my partner and I stop buying cans of seltzer! It’s so handy to have and the canister lasts us a while
As apparent from my other reviews, I like sparkling water and so I bought one of these bad boys for my home use. I don't use it that often if I'm being honest but it does what it says it's going to do and does it well.

The system proved user-friendly; however, the flavor failed to meet expectations compared to soda, and the necessary adjustments for optimal carbonation rendered its use inconvenient. Despite purchasing both the system and various drink flavors, I eventually opted to give it away.

Horrible. Cannot get co2 and cannot afford to buy your new product. Very disappointing. Have three empty canisters but cannot buy product.

Great way to slake your thirst for sparkled water/soda at home with great savings. I have one, and love it. I got hooked on Polar seltzer, but didn't like the idea of paying for water, or the hit to the ecosystem with all those plastic bottles. The machine uses PBA free reusable bottles in two sizes, and a rechargeable CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) cartridge to give you the fizz--you just add your flavor. There are a million flavorings you can buy, or you could use fresh citrus juice, or just drink your fizz plain like I do. One of the nicest aspects is you can control the level of fizz--I like mine very light--like bubbles in champagne, but you could go as high as canned soda/Pellegrino water if you like the extra bubbly hit. I always kept 2 CO2 cartridges, and when one was used up, I'd pop in the other and send in/drop off (many alternatives for getting fresh ones) the spent one for a recharge. I'd say I got about 60 liters out of one cartridge.

For me it is a good product especially because you can control how much fizz you put in the drink. The syrup to flavor the drink is made with artificial sweetener. I personally am not much for that but in the end it is better for the number of calories you take in daily. I mainly use it to make sparkling water. With nice lots of fizz so you really have a delicious sparkling water. The cost of a bottle of compressed air is fairly high but it's a one-time cost that you can recover if you exchange the empty bottle. If you want a healthier soda then you can definitely choose this option! If you love sparkling water, then you should definitely do it too!
