Seed earns polarized reviews: many users report that DS-01 and the 14-Day Gut Reset reduce bloating, improve regularity, and even support skin and mood, while others feel no effect or experience nausea, rashes, constipation, or worsening bloating. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward approach and elegant, eco-friendly glass-and-refill packaging, but call out capsule size, glass travel vial fragility, and mixed tolerability; some question transparency and a few cite aggressive subscription practices.

I took seed for many years and it helped significantly with sibo and ibs symptoms. Currently doing a sibo protocol and plan to start taking seed again after the kill phase. Love all the research they do into the probiotic strains. Initially learned of this brand through functional medicine practitioner Chris Kresser.

Started with one a day to acclimate and then a week later took two. By the third week, bloating was gone. Stomach was flatter and digestion was perfect.

I recently tried this and I was thoroughly impressed with its effectiveness. The blend of probiotics and prebiotics helped to support my digestive health and improve my overall gut health. The vitamin was easy to take and didn't cause any digestive discomfort. I also noticed a boost in my energy levels and a clearer mind. The combination of vitamins and probiotics helped to improve my immune system and kept me feeling healthy and energetic. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch and I could tell that the brand put a lot of thought into creating a product that actually works. I would highly recommend this pre and probiotic vitamin to anyone looking to support their gut health and improve their overall wellness.

Everything that is being done is perfect! I love the fact that they are clean and safe. For example, they send out the first delivery in a green glass jar. And after that they send out the refills in a recyclable pouch.

1-Year Update: After using this product for over a year (purchased both through the website and from a local retailer), I've decided to stop supporting this company altogether. I canceled my membership in April 2026, but in June 2026 my subscription was mysteriously reactivated and I was immediately charged. I received no shipping confirmation, no advance warning, and no email notifying me that my subscription had resumed. I find this kind of business practice extremely predatory and unacceptable. When I contacted customer support, the only resolution they offered was a 50% refund, which I declined. While I genuinely think the products are effective, I've since found an alternative that offers even better benefits and a much better customer experience. Very disgusted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was initially drawn in by the brand’s aesthetic being super clean, minimal, and super appealing. After seeing 1000 ads I decided to give it a try. My order arrived quickly, and I was impressed by how well the packaging was sealed and protected. The product recommends taking two capsules a day, but I prefer to listen to my body. I’m 5’2” and 100 lbs, and I’ve learned from experience that the standard dosage of many supplements can sometimes be too much for me. So I take one capsule every other day, which works best with my body and lifestyle. (I’m not one for strict routines anyway.) Since starting, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my digestion. It’s helped ease bloating and gas, and my bowel movements have become more regular and comfortable. I’ve been using this product for over a year now, and I’m genuinely happy with how it’s supported my body on my own terms. The packaging is not only cute but also super sturdy, and overall, it’s been a really positive experience that I continue to stick with. Cuteeeeee! 💚

This product is excellent, and while it may be on the pricier side, it’s worth it. I've already noticed improvements in my gut flora. I believe with a bit more time, I'll see even more results—it's only been about three weeks so far!

The packaging is beautiful. I love that it comes with a travel bail and it’s refillable. I’ve def been feeling very regulated and lighter. So far so good! I started this because I am in early menopause and I am trying to get my health under control.

I got the duo and the seed capsule really got to me, never thought about all the good properties this product could carry inside, you should get it!!!

I’ve been taking seed probiotics for about a year. They are very high quality and a trusted brand, and the packaging is great (love the refills) however I can’t really claim that it has had a huge impact on my health or digestion. I do still take it but i haven’t noticed a crazy difference when I do or don’t take it. You’re supposed to have them daily on an empty stomach but I found that it makes me really nauseous if I don’t eat within 15-20 minutes after so I normally just take them whenever I remember in the day, or after breakfast. The subscription is convenient and you’re able to pause or change the delivery dates. There’s also TONS of influencer codes you can use for % off.

I didn’t really see a big difference in my gut digestion. I still had a lot of days of bloating. Maybe I personally just need a stronger probiotic.

I've been taking Seed for about a year and a half now and I've noticed a huge improvement in my bloating and bowel movements as well as my skin and nails. I've always had gut issues and this has dramatically helped with my bloating after eating. In the last few months, I have noticed that it hasn't been working as well as it has been for me. When I mentioned this to my doctor they said that you should only stay on a probiotic for 6 months. Each probiotic has different bacterias and once you've built up enough of one in your system, you should try another. He said that I could come back to Seed in the future but that it's important to rotate probiotics periodically. I plan on switching to a new probiotic after I finish this last bottle to see if that will help.

I found Seed as only okay. I loved the unpackaging experience (gorgeous containers), but didn't think the probiotics really had any lasting effect on me after trying it for three months. Considering that, against the price point, it's difficult to recommend, as there are cheaper probiotics on the market. I do like how the containers can be repurposed for other things, though (like storing other probiotic pills). Also did love the travel container it came with.

I have been taking Seed regularly for the past couple of years. I have noticed an improvement in my digestive health as well as my overall health. I appreciate the glass jar and vial that are provided; it makes refills and traveling much easier. The company's focus on being eco-friendly is commendable; an example of this being their compostable packaging. Subscription is very easy to manage online and shipping is fast.

I used this during my pregnancy and it was super helpful to feel balanced!

There’s complete control over your subscription so that’s helpful!

Won't start no shi* ...won't be no shi* and that's on everything I know, lol. Once you start taking Seed, prepare to be planted in the bathroom on a regular basis. All jokes aside the science is really doing its thing with this one. I try to tell everyone I give a shi* about, about this daily synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic). The proof is in the poop and they did not disappoint. This is hands down the best self-care thing I have done all of 2023. I wanted to add to this review, I just picked up my 1st refill and the sustainable packing is just beautiful. I also love that I can tailor my subscription, I know a lot of people mention the price point not being budget-friendly, but you don't have to get them every month. You can make it work for your budget, most people can easily spend more money on a night out drinking with friends, which am not condemning. Just trying to find a healthy balance is one of the keys to living.

not to be dramatic but Seed has changed my life! Before taking these I was really struggling with an unbalanced gut - bloating, acne, etc. I’d tried probiotics before but after consistently taking these I noticed comfort in my gut and clearer skin and just a general better relationship with how I felt after eating. the subscription model is soooo easy and the travel containers make it impossible not to take your Seed with you!

Can't say I have noticed a difference from far cheaper probiotic products I have used for the last few years. Usually when I swap brands there is some difference in stomach comfort as the biome gets adapted in this case I noticed nothing. They're very good in terms of customer service, packaging is great and very green friendly with their refill packs. I think if they included some novel probiotics (akkermansia for example) which are not in common products I would feel more compelled to continue it. Its been 3 months, I'll likely finish out 6 months and call it quits if nothing else. Should I notice a difference switching away I'll append this review. That being said if you don't factor price at all it's a great product. Just not a great value.

Love the look and the feel. Looks so pretty on my nightstand, I never forget to take it in the morning. Usually, I feel like I need to hide all my ugly supplement bottles. It takes a bit to see results but I genuinely believe I've seen improvements in my system after taking it. Great experience with the shipping too. They recently launched a sustainable program where you can preorder 6 months' worth of the product and get a discount. Love that I don't need to think about it too much and be more sustainable as a result.

2 years ago, this company was great and had great personal care for the customer, and I appreciated their support. NOT ANYMORE. I had a 3 month subscription and it was AUTOMATICALLY changed to 1 month without my consent. I had been skipping every other 3mos. They also changed the email title to something obscure so I didn't catch that it was the email to "skip" and not just more spam. When I received the new pills only 1 month after I just received the others after my subscription was changed without my consent, they would NOT refund me. Instead, they decided to gas light me and tell me I've always been on the monthly plan. I've been subscribed for over a year, I obviously have not been! It took threats upon threats for them to refund only half of what they should have. This company is ridden with greed and they do not care about their custumers anymore as confirmed by my experience and others. The screenshot is after en email chain of 15 emails where they still continue to tell me that they didn't change my subscription. UGH. The most frustrating experience.

I've never been SO overwhelmed by a product's marketing before. I believed in my soul that this product MUST be a winner, so much so that I told a lot of my friends about it, only a couple weeks after I began taking it. The scientific-sounding research, so many health promises... I loved having the cute little glass vial to take on vacation last week, too! However, I was soon to be disappointed. I received my first shipment about 5-6 weeks ago. I've been an occasional user user of probiotics (my wife, much more so). I also take Juice Plus, a fruit and vegetable powder that contains acidophilus, and I am the most regular person I know. And my friends sometimes ask me why I look so young (I'm 58). I believe part of it, aside from drinking tons of water, is gut health. My stool flows VERY, VERY well. And my colon (per my last colonoscopy) is squeaky clean. When I saw the Seed ads, I figured, why not take it to an even higher level, right? I have been taking Seed every night, on an empty stomach as directed, before bed. All I can say is that I feel bloated, cannot each much food (always feeling full) and my stool is never regular now. I'm pausing Seed today and going back to my regular routine to see if I can get better. As for my wife, she also does not feel regular, and she also says she has been having strange and scary nightmares, almost every night, when taking it, so she also stopped. (After she did, the nightmares stopped.) The sad thing is I ordered a 3-month refill for each of us ($135 x 2), to be more economical and eco-friendly (shipping-wise). I was so convinced that the product MUST be good (the marketing is extraordinary!). But now I'm feeling a bit silly, and a little bit taken advantage of. Is it a thing that some strains of probiotics (and prebiotics) are just not for every person? Do I need a certain strain for it to be compatible with my body? (I have a call into Seed.com to ask questions. I'm so frustrated and bewildered.) I look forward to any feedback I can get on this. My wife, too. And soon I'll find out how my 23-yr old son likes it. He also ordered his own subscription. UPDATE: I got a call back from a very sympathetic and helpful customer service rep at Seed. She took copious notes about mine and my wife's detailed experiences and is passing it along to the scientists at Seed so they can respond to me with specific recommendations (by email). On top of this, she gave me a 50% refund for the 3-month supply we ordered, and said that if we end up deciding to fully discontinue using the product, she would refund the rest of it as well! Whatever concerns I had about Seed (aside from my body's results) were alleviated by her kindness. They seem to really care about their customers!

Marketing is spot-on, as EVERY person has laid out. Beautiful, ecological, smart. I read something somewhere that they did a couple clinical trials, but the results were not yet published. (I'm really curious what those results were!) Will they keep tweaking their strains until most folks feel better when taking it? For the price, and all the thinking/marketing/money they poured into this product, I expected much better. The CVS brand for half this cost per month works WAY better for me. And I'm sad about that. See my UPDATE above. Seed got back to me and was VERY accommodating in giving us a partial refund (so far) and is sharing my info with the scientists for more advice. I'm impressed with them as a company, even if the product does not work for me personally (so far).

Love this brand! It helped me get back on track and I personally like that it gets shipped to my house - makes it easier to be consistent! The packing is eco-friendly and I can compost the refill packs. The jar itself is pretty enough to leave out and I don’t have to refrigerate it!

I started off taking 2 pills for my system to adjust and now take 1 pill. (2 seemed too hard core for my body, but this also makes the one jar last awhile)
