Reel earns strong reviews as a sustainable, bamboo-based toilet paper that works: it’s consistently described as soft enough, strong, absorbent, and lint-free, with many users switching permanently. Reviews also flag weaknesses—several find it less plush than top national brands, occasionally thin or a bit rough, with smaller rolls—and note some prefer a softer, thicker feel.

I felt super fancy buying this toilet paper. I didn’t even know they made 3-ply toilet paper before buying Reel. The toilet paper was just ok in my opinion though. Also I’m not really sure why they have so much packaging or why they make 3-ply toilet paper if their mission is to reduce waste.

I got this thinking I would have been reimbursed, but the campaign ended and I didn’t know that. I didn’t end up returning it (even though it’s way too expensive) We finally got through our last roll, and went back to our old standby of Scott 1000, and there’s definitely a difference. Reel was soft and quite absorbent, and you only needed a few sheets per wipe. (Scott is suitable, but is noticeably rougher, and you obviously need a longer piece in order to have an equivalent amount of paper). We’ll stay with Scott unless I come across another big sale and coupon combo for reel.
Similar texture to other toilet papers you might buy, only a bit rougher. One side is worse, but that has an easy solution. The recyclable packaging is my favorite part. It also is quite strong, which is a concern when switching from other brands. With sales and coupons, price is comparable to mainstream brands. I’d recommend at least get it into your rotation if not switch fully!
Absolutely awesome product, individually packaged rolls, and they don’t rip easily. My only issue is the cost is astronomical. Probably won’t buy again unless there’s a giant discount.

We typically buy bulk toilet paper at Costco, but have explored new products to live more sustainability. This toilet paper holds up well, but is a little less soft than your average roll. You do get a nice amount of sheets per roll and I like that each roll comes wrapped for cleanliness. I do feel a bit better knowing this toilet paper is tree and dye free which is better for our planet and my body.

I absolutely love this ! The paper is a perfect picture and not too soft, but not too rough. I love the each one is individually wrapped

I wanted to love this toilet paper by Reel purely for the sustainability factor and mission the Company portrays. Yet, I still can’t give it my full approval. While it does look high quality and is wonderful for the planet, it isn’t as gentle on my skin as I would have liked and left it feeling a bit irritated after each use. It is also on the pricey side even for all of the benefits it offers environmentally.

Not the softest but that’s to be expected with a product that’s sustainable. Durable, and gets the job done! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This was my first time trying this brand, and all I can say is that this exceeded my expectations. I have tried other eco-friendly toilet papers before, but none ever stood out to enough to make me want to repurchase. This brand did an excellent job at making the paper strong and absorbent. It is not fluffy like the other major TP brand, but it is soft. It doesn’t leave any lint behind or tear easy so that is a big plus. It also has those grooves in the pattern to help get you extra clean. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for those that prefer strength and cleaning power over fluffy, pillowy, and linty toilet paper.

I love the packaging of this toilet paper aesthetically pleasing and you can reuse the box for something else. Reel has a unique texture embossed on their toilet paper which was the first thing I noticed when I unwrapped the first roll. It’s a nice balance between soft but firm. I love how it does not rip or get super pilly when using. I have finished up my last roll of Reel and am using a different brand right now but I want to say I prefer the Reel toilet tissue. I feel like I don’t have to use as much so it lasts longer therefore, in the end I’m not spending as much. This brand also goes on sale often at target however out of the five locations near me only one carries this brand.

This toilet paper is generally decent, I liked that it's sustainable; it's also relatively strong and thick. I only wish it was softer.

Sustainable but I wish it was thicker.

While I love the concept of eco-friendly toilet paper, this just didn't do it for me. The paper wasn't thick enough and wasn't soft enough
This is my new favorite toilet paper. Very pricy, otherwise I would buy more.

Love this product. Please make others! Eco-friendly, but not super scratchy like other brands have been. My new go-to brand!

Really lux packaging, but a little on the pricey side. But it’s still a great product if you can afford it.

Reel's bamboo toilet paper is good way to support sustainable habits for daily use. The paper is comfortable on the skin and easy on sewer system. The bamboo texture makes it rougher than conventional paper products, but it is easier to tear, wipe, and not create a lot of fluff. I wish it would come in smaller packs, as 12-packs is the only package available at my local Target. This large size makes it challenging to buy more often, as I usually walk and carry groceries home (as part of my daily exercise). The price is a bit high, although promotional offers do run from time to time.

Even as someone who regularly uses bamboo toilet paper, I thought this was going to be an exercise in paying for designer packaging for an otherwise typical everyday product, but it's the best toilet paper I've tried. Super sturdy triple-ply & the amount of rolls in a box lasts a surprisingly long time, so the price ends up being pretty on point. Love that all of the packaging is recyclable, too.

Best TP! Both sturdy and comfortable. Rolls are tightly would so I find them to be a better value than the big brands with their deceptive marketing.
