Peloton wins praise in reviews for motivating, studio-caliber classes, engaging instructors (Cody Rigsby, Alex Toussaint, Robin Arzón), seamless app breadth, and sturdy, smooth hardware that makes at‑home workouts convenient and habit‑forming; however, recurring membership costs are widely criticized, the bike seat comfort and occasional hardware maintenance issues recur, and some find the experience overrated or less effective than live classes. Overall, Peloton is good if you’ll use it consistently and value variety and community, but buyers should weigh subscription demands and ergonomics.

I remember my first time seeing a person riding a Peleton and it was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. The motivation you can get from one of these machines is phenomenal.

I use the peloton app during the pandemic. I didn’t love the strength training. The cycling programs were OK. The music almost always bothered me.
Getting the peloton was the best investment. My fiancé and I share it and I can even take the workouts on the go when I travel.

I loved having Peloton during the pandemic as an easy, at-home sweat. I find the teachers motivating (shoutout to Alex T and Olivia). I haven't really been using my membership as much and do find it overpriced.

I never thought I would be one of those people who is obsessed with Peloton. But during the pandemic, after going stir crazy inside the house, I finally splurged and purchased the bike and a subscription. A huge incentive for taking the plunge was the ability to use Affirm on this purchase. The BIKE: The actual bike itself was so fun and a lifesaver. Unexpectedly, Hannah Frankson's guided rides got me through a breakup. (She is so fun without the annoying toxic positivity!) And I've really enjoyed my rides with a number of the other instructors. Cody and Tunde are standouts! There is also an option to take virtual scenic rides and recently Peloton has added the ability to watch streaming services while you pedal. Amazing!! It should be said this bike is SILENT. I was shocked how unbelievably quiet. You can plug in your headphones or connect wirelessly through bluetooth. Now we have to talk about one of the biggest cons. The bike seat was my enemy for so long. I had to buy a seat cover to take the edge off and get some relief with extra cushioning. If you take short rides once or twice a week -- everything should be fine. But anything more will take some getting used to. Thankfully, this is only temporary so after a few weeks no longer an issue. The only other major fix is to just triple check the adjustments on the seat height. The SHOES: I have wide feet and initially was concerned because I'd heard/read that the peloton shoes are quite narrow. I ended up buying another pair of 3rd party shoes with delta cleats (Peloton compatible clip-ins). It turns out I never needed them -- as the Peloton shoes worked just fine! The APP: I really love the app. I subscribed for the guided rides, but I have used it for a number of other classes. The strength training classes and the guided stretches are so, so good -- but I have also been using the tread classes without a peloton treadmill and surprisingly these have turned out to be my favorite classes. I have an Apple Watch so even though I don't have the Pelo-Tread -- I still get the metric feedback. (Generally, the Apple Watch/Peloton App sync is really great) Additional details -- the app does have a social element to connect with other users or friends who subscribe. For the bike this means you can virtually take classes together with your friends. Overall I have no regrets for this purchase, and years later, I still use the Peloton app nearly every week.

I’ve been a proud peloton member for over 2 years and it has made me love working out. HOWEVER, I can’t help but be a bit upset by the recent change in subscription tiers. Now,‘if I want to take a treadmill class, I only get 3 a month instead of unlimited classes (unless of course I spend thousands on a peloton treadmill). I’m so disappointed that I need to purchase the peloton equipment in order to do the workout when a non-Peloton treadmill, bike, or rower would work for 98% of the content they offer. It just felt like a thoughtless money grab and an F U to Peloton lovers that might be priced out of the Peloton-branded equipment market.
I have the second gen bike. I ride it every day. This purchase was made before the pandemic and it was such a blessing to be able to work out safely at home. There are a variety of skill levels and instructors to meet your needs. I mainly do the spin classes but I also like the strength and yoga classes as well. I’d love for more resistance bands classes for when I’m traveling. The price is well worth it and my insurance gives a stipend toward the monthly subscription. Would highly recommend to anyone. I also have ordered workout gear and clothes and all have been super high quality. This is likely one of the products I’d recommend to friends more than anything else I own.
It’s a bike. Unless you’re going to use it everyday, it’s a waste.
Peloton bikes and workout app are incredible - so many options to choose from and very easy to do in a pinch.
I LOVE PELTON. I don't have space for one at home, but it is always a treat to go to a hotel where the gym has a peloton. The differences across types of classes, instructor styles, and the pace of class make it a great workout for nearly everyone. I wish wish wish more gyms had pelots (with the foot cages) so folks could go and ride. The only downside: you have to have a (paid) membership to ride.
I love my Peloton. I like to bike outdoors, but Peloton takes cycling to a whole nother level!
I like a lot of the classes and instructors. Some of the Pilates classes I have found to be too easy regardless of the level it says but overall I like it
Honestly obsessed with my Peloton. I did buy it second hand, but I love having easy access to really high quality spin workouts, plus cross training using the swivel screen. Did not expect to love it so much!

The bike is very sturdy and quiet. The resistance is just at the right amount to peddle with. I think about long term investment and this bike is worth it.

I love Peloton. the huge amount of workouts they have are great. I wasn’t sure if I would like a bike but so far I love it. I would give it a 5 but I bought this on the 5th and then today on the 10th it is 20% off. I reached out to see if there was anything we could do. I was advised we could return it and buy it at a cheaper price. That is a lot of unnecessary time and work for everyone involved since it was delivered and installed and that experience wasn’t quick. So I am unhappy with Amazon on that part. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Peloton to anyone.
One of the best investments I've made! I love all the different options that come with the app and how you can try something new everyday.
It's the most expensive guilt trip I've ever been on, and it didn't even take me anywhere. But hey, it looked really good in my living room for those first 2 months.

Honestly love my peloton. The classes are just as good if not better than going to any spin studio. They make it so easy for a beginner to get started and have so many classes to choose from for all levels/abilities.
I love my peloton app. These are my favorite workouts. I am actually motivated to exercise!
