Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • My family has been using this product for about six months and plan on using it in the future. It’s a perfect hydrator after a long run or a quick workout. The taste is not my favorite but liquid I.V. tastes much better than a regular electrolyte drink. I like the ability to make it weak or strong dependent on your preference.

  • Always keep a liquid IV on me, never know when you might need an electrolyte boost. Use them most at music festivals and when I’m at the gym. Lemon lime is my go to flavor as it’s pretty light and easy to drink.

  • Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the flavor can be quite strong. Best to just do half of a stick at a time so it's not too overwhelming. But it does make me feel better, especially after a night of drinking.

  • I love the watermelon flavor the best I’ve tried three different ones! With a new medication I’m on staying hydrated is key and these definitely help!!!

  • I started using this after being diagnosed with POTS. A little sweet but does what it’s supposed to do!

  • I tried this on a night out with friends. I was shocked when I woke up the next morning fine. The taste, however, is not great but between the taste and a hangover. I'll drink it. I drank one and told my friends too also. They declined due to the taste they all woke up the next day hungover except me. Definitely have tried this a few times and shocked with the results every time.

  • Some of the flavors are better than others but overall a very helpful drink when it comes to hangovers! Take one when you get home and you should feel ok the next day!

  • Liquid IV isn’t a bad product, but there are much better options on the market. Their flavors come off a little chemical and is not as pleasant as some other brands. It works, but ultimately, I’d pass on it going forward.

  • Love love love these! Drink one at least nearly every day and pretty much all the flavors are decent! Sure, there's sugar in them, but if that's my one sugary drink for the day, I feel like it's alright. I use them to keep migraines at bay, but I recently took them on a trip to Mexico and even just having one on the flight helped me feel less dehydrated. Would absolutely recommend.

  • As I’m sure most people do, I’ve only used Liquid IV post-drinking. It works like a DREAM! I notice I feel significantly better if I drink this after a night out. Some flavors taste better than others, but I haven’t had any flavors that are horrible. Overall 100p recommend this product. It’s pricier compared to similar products but so worth it.

  • My partner swears by these after a night of heavy drinking or when we’re feeling sick. I’m not a huge fan of the taste, personally, but I’m down to try anything that might help reduce my suffering.

  • The flavors are bold and travel easily. They help when feeling low and dehydrated.

I love the strawberry and watermelon flavors however the lemon lime is too sour.

  • some flavors are better than others, but at the very least appreciating minimal placebo effect if nothing else. (favorite flavors = lemon life + pineapple yuzu). Take one daily to try to 2x one of the glasses of water that I drink - found it particularly helpful after teaching a hot yoga class where I could tell that I was definitely dehydrated. Easy to bring along in the travel packs and would continue purchasing. Flavors just can be a little on the sweeter side.

  • Used to like this brand until I saw some concerning TikToks about them containing gluten. I'm celiac and only used the product when hungover and never really felt like it did much, but now looking back, I wonder if my hangover wasn't lingering and I was actually getting sick from the trace amounts of gluten! I've been too nervous to try them again but always suggest them to my gluten-consuming friends after a long night out. Would get back into using them again if I knew I was in the clear!

  • Cut. Out. The. Extra. Sugar. These ar SO sweet and the added sugar def cause a glucose spike which can make you feel worse after taking them, not better. They do have good flavor but I steer away from them a bit after reading the label.

  • Big fan of Liquid I.V.! Easier to drink than Pedialite when you need extra electrolytes! I like that its easy to throw them in my purse if I can traveling or on the go. They are a staple for bachelorette parties.

I wish the packaging was more sustainable.

  • I buy a 24 pack every few weeks and bring a sachet in my bag when I go to work It’s an instant energy booster Also helpful to have when you’re traveling and need added hydration!

    Feedback

I think the branding is a little goofy (there, I said it) and it kind of pigeonholes the brand to very specific clientele and it could be marketed way better!

  • I tried the lemon lime flavor at a bachelorette party and hated the taste--it was weirdly salty and chemically tasting and it was really hard to finish the drink. I also didn't really notice a difference in terms of hydration but maybe that's just me (some of my friends are obsessed). It was easy to use and I guess could be helpful in emergencies but I wouldn't seek it out again.

Could also easily transition to paper packaging instead of plastic.
