Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • I am not a huge fan of the flavors, but Liquid IV is the only thing that kept me alive during Bonnaroo.

  • Great for hangover prevention. A bit sweet so I add more water. Was recommended to me by a nutritionist I trust

  • I've tried a lot of hydration packs similar to this one. I think its alright, not my favorite or anything special. I think Liquid IV is sweeter than others and has some added/unnecessary sugar compared to others.

  • I feel such a difference when I take these! So perfect for hikes, nights out, or just an extra boost. They are a little pricey I think…would like to see more buy in bulk options.

  • The grape is my favorite! I used it to prep for Coachella and I have never felt more hydrated. I find myself craving it now.

  • Great for hydration but has a large amount of sugar making it not good for health. Flavors also taste artificial.

  • I feel there are comparable products that don't use sugar. The packets are also very, very sweet. I find them to be overwhelmingly sweet instead of refreshing - they need to be VERY diluted to obtain a more subtle flavor.

  • Liquid IV is a game-changer for hydration! It's like a secret weapon to beat fatigue and stay energized. Tastes great and does wonders. A must-try for active folks and anyone looking to stay refreshed.

  • So clutch whenever you’re super tired. Felt better within 30 minutes!

  • Liquid I.V. has been such a lifesaver in my day to day! I take these with me everywhere, Between Disneyland or a weekend vacation out on the boat in Arizona these keep me hydrated. They can easily be put inside of a water bottle for easy drinking on the go, I always carry them in my purse for easy solutions to headaches or simple dehydration. They are also so yummy! So many flavors to choose from so everyone can enjoy Liquid I.V. The cotton candy flavored Liquid I.V’s are my personal fav

  • My recovery rate post run is noticeable when I don't throw a little Liquid IV into my water bottle. I don't love the taste, but it does the trick, and definitely helped beat my runner's headache twice in the last 3 months so I like to keep it on hand for workouts. Pros: it works! Cons: overly sweet IMO, high sugar content, and pricey. There are cheaper alternatives out there. To get around the cons, Costco sells several flavors in bulk for a much better price ~$0.83/stick where I'm from, and Hydralyte now has a sugar-free zero-cal version that's not half bad!

  • I have used the original version of Liquid IV for years but recently tried the no sugar variety. I was expecting it to taste fake like most low or no sugar beverages, but I realized the sweetener they use is allulose. I am not a scientist so I recommend you look up allulose and what it does with your GLP1 receptors (much like the weight loss drugs that have been so successful recently) but in a natural sweetener. I have used it in my coffee for a year now and find the taste to be like a less sweet sugar so it fits nicely in liquid IV which doesn’t need to be super sweet anyway. I only wish they made more flavors in the no-sugar variety.

  • I used to be a consumer of Liquid IV, a popular hydration product. While it does provide effective hydration, I eventually stopped using it due to its high sugar content. There are now better alternatives available on the market that offer similar benefits without the excessive sugar.

  • I like liquid IV, I'm just not sure it's the best option out there. I use the energy one as sort of a pre workout and it does its job. I like the yuzy energy the best taste wise. I think they're super easy and great for travel or daily use. I just have only had the ones with sugar, they recently came out with sugar free. So once I try those maybe I will like them more, but we will have to see.

  • I like the taste of Liquid IV and it may provide all of the benefits it says it does. I never can tell if it is doing anything because it actually makes me more thirsty if I drink it. I find that a few beverages do this so maybe it's a me thing. I have decided that even though I do like the taste and I may be receiving benefits from using it, I can't get past feeling more thirsty after drinking it. So, give it a shot and see for yourself if it works for you. Just because it isn't for me, doesn't mean it won't be good for you.

  • Love this for post-workout, post a night of drinking wine, or when I’m feeling sluggish. Only downside is most packets have high sugar content unless it’s the newer “low sugar” version.

  • I do not care for the taste at all and find myself using other brands instead. Too sweet and chalky.

  • I really love these Liquid I.V. mixes because they taste great and are a great way to get your electrolytes. I love drinking these all year, but especially in summer as they help me stay hydrated and are very refreshing.

  • Wish this brand had less added sugar, but definitely works well for rehydrating after a long workout or night out. Avoid the "energy" flavors, they don't taste great and I don't notice a difference in my energy levels. Some flavors are sweeter and faker tasting than others, but passion fruit and tangerine are favorites - the tartness of them cancels out the extreme sweetness.
