Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • liquid iv is something i take on plane trips, to festivals, after a hike, etc it is so incredibly convenient to have something like this in its powder form compared to lugging something around like gatorade. i'm a huge fan of the yuzu citrus and strawberry kiwi flavors. the only con to liquid iv is that some of the flavors (looking at you tangerine) is incredibly sweet, like an artificial sweet and it is very overbearing. otherwise, huge fan of liquid iv and has become an essential for trips.

  • I've received Liquid IV through various promotions and thought they taste good and deliver on the promised hydration, but in seeing it on the store shelves, it's incredibly expensive for what it is: sugar water mixed with salt and added flavor. One can make this at home for almost no cost.

  • These are good! Not really sure what they are for though but it’s a nice drink every once in a while

  • I’ve only ever tried the lemon flavor I believe but I love them! Especially if you drink it at or after a festival. Even while you’re drinking, this is something you’d want to drink after or during!

  • great for drinking after runs! was a life saver during marathon training. my favorite flavor is passion fruit or strawberry.

  • I fell in love with these a few years ago when my husband and I first moved to Colorado. We were having trouble adjusting to the altitude, and these made it super easy! Now we can't stop buying the lemon lime mix. It tastes great and isn't overly sweet. I always feel super hydrated after drinking these

  • This stuff is great only tried it once would love to try it again

  • Liquid I.V. is just okay. There are other brands out there that offers better ingredients but Liquid I.V.'s cost is definitely lower than the others. I do really like the passion fruit flavor. I enjoy BPN's electrolytes over this.

  • I love this product for hydrating but I don’t love the taste. I’ve tried the lemon lime and the passion fruit one and wasn’t fond of any of the flavors. I used to drink these more regularly before I went to sleep after drinking so I would not wake up dehydrated.

  • Used to use this religiously before I noticed the product contained so much sugar! I wish they would come out with a low/no sugar version as the amount in the product seems excessive to me.

  • Bought these packets for our wedding welcome bags and they were a hit! Easy to use and tasted delicious.

  • Very portable, which is a plus. No little scoops to keep track of. But the flavors are artificial tasting and too heavy on the sugar.

  • definitely feel more hydrated after a single pack. i appreciate the variety of flavors they offer too! just wish it was a little less sweet

  • I wish there was a flavor-less option, I find the flavors to be kind of gross and too sugary. They definitely work in hydrating your body though.

  • My roommate drinks these in the morning and they keep her going all day while she fasts until nighttime. They are definitely expensive but worth the price.

  • I recieved a free sample of Liquid I.V. in a baby box when I was pregnant. To be honest I really wasn't a fan. Its very salty, which I understand is to help with hydration and replenishing electrolytes, but it makes the drink unpleasant.

  • I was instructed to try Liquid IV by my doctor (for POTS) and I really found it helpful. My favorite flavor was the lemon-lime. The only drawback on this product is that needing it for daily/general use can be expensive.

  • It’s always my go-to when I’m hungover or if I go a few days too long drinking less water than my body needs. I always feel better after chugging a water with liquid IV in it! I’ve read that it contains a lot of sugar and less electrolytes than other options but TBH I don’t really care. I try not to be too concerned with minuscule differences in sugar, etc. I will say liquid IV is expensive, so I try to buy it in bulk at Costco and I often go periods of time without it because it’s not worth it ALL the time. Additionally, some of the flavors aren’t my favorite but I do love the lemon lime and strawberry.

  • My partner and I are obsessed with Liquid IV. We love the variety of flavors, the taste, and that they help us drink more water. They can be kind of expensive for what you get in a pack, but if you can buy them in bulk somewhere like Sam’s Club, it’s really worth it!

  • Every time I have more than a couple drinks, I take a Liquid IV. Definitely helps with hydration and getting more electrolytes in - on days I’ve missed it, I definitely felt the hangover the next morning. Taste is overall alright, palatable but not “good.”
