Liquid Death earns polarizing reviews: many praise its crisp still and sparkling waters, edgy tallboy cans that help non-drinkers blend in at concerts, and recyclable aluminum packaging; others call it “just water,” note metallic or flat tastes, and dislike sweetened flavors and the recent source change to Virginia. Fans highlight flavors like Mango Chainsaw, Severed Lime, Berry It Alive, and teas (Armless Palmer/Dead Billionaire), while critics cite bitter stevia aftertaste, limited carbonation, non‑resealable cans, and inconsistent flavor quality.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Don’t love all the flavors (the teas were particularly disappointing) but Severed Lime absolutely slaps. I love the can art, but I can’t take it into my (very buttoned up) office, unfortunately.
Fun variety of flavors. I enjoy the can/recyclability and how tall the cans are
I must admit that the name and branding of this water made me skeptical, but it is my all time favorite water, and I love the tall boy can size.
water tastes great! environmentally friendly with cans - probably wouldn't buy on my own, but many offices provide them as an amenity

Did not like how sweet it was or the artificial aftertaste. To be fair, I did not understand it was not a regular sparkling water, so that was my bad.
While Liquid Death boasts excellent marketing that certainly grabs attention, I can’t get past the corny cult following it has developed. The edgy branding and over-the-top persona feel a bit forced and overshadow the actual product. The water itself is refreshing and the eco-friendly aluminum cans are a plus, but the exaggerated hype around the brand isn’t my style. If you can look past the theatrics, it’s decent water, but the overall experience left me wanting something more straightforward.

Ok, I get it!!! Not only do I feel COOL AF drinking from these cans, they genuinely are so refreshing and crisp. I just bought a 12 pack yesterday and I can't wait to crack open a cold one after work today.
I might be the only person to say this, but I'm not a fan! I don't like the taste of the water out of the can. Sorry!! They are an innovative brand doing great things with their marketing.
It’s water with cool branding at the end of the day. One thing I do really enjoy as someone who does not drink alcohol anymore is that I am able to get tall boys of water when at music venues and not feel like I need a beer in my hand.
Tried it, and can't really taste the difference? It just tastes like regular water?
So fresh
I'll be honest: I don't really know if this is the point, but I think the contrast between the intense branding and the delicacy of the bubbles is fun. I'm a fan!

Honestly, it's kinda just water. Nothing that special about it but the branding is great and holding one of these at a party makes you feel cool
genius idea for a brand, love the packaging! as someone sober, drinks disguised as alcohol are my favorite to keep people from asking why I'm not drinking (gets so annoying)
It's water, so I don't have much to say about what's inside, but I picked it up because I wanted a can rather than a plastic bottle. I know the branding has attracted a massive investment and I can see why, it's hilariously bold, but I felt like people on the bus probably thought I was drinking a beer at 2pm. Not sure how I feel about that.
Had this stuff at a concert not too long ago. Was nice to be able to hold and sip on something if I didn’t want to drink.
The Armless Palmer is delicious, tastes just like a traditional Arnie Palmer.
I'm not picky about water, but love Liquid Death specifically because of the brand. They have a sense of humor worth following.
Water! In a can! It's not revolutionary, but it's so fun. Buying it for the advertising, tastes great and yummy flavors.
Love their new expansion of flavors, always at festivals and concerts! Also amazing for those who are sober / sober curious and want to still feel like they are drinking a tall boy with everyone else.
