Heyday Canning Company earns largely positive reviews for turning canned beans and soups into fast, flavorful meal-makers, with standouts like Coconut Curry Chickpeas, Harissa Lemon Chickpeas, Kimchi Sesame Navy Beans, Enchilada Black Beans, and Tomato Alla Vodka Cannellini. Reviews also flag weaknesses: occasional blandness or excessive sweetness, mushy or overcooked beans, bitter or oily notes, very high sodium, and some flavors missing depth—making quality uneven across SKUs.

The variety and flavoring options of beans are wonderful. So far I have tried coconut curry, harissa lemon, and apricot glazed. All taste great and pair well with rice or vegetable salads. From a health perspective, I like that the beans are non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free. The pull-open tab also saves time with opening cans.

The enchilada black beans were nicely packaged and tasted good in my burrito. I would love them to expand the flavors offered in the future.

I tried the Coconut Curry Chickpeas and they were soooo good! I roasted a head of cauliflower in the oven and then mixed that with the Chickpeas and ate it over rice with naan. Super fast and yummy dinner. It made 3 good sized portions. They are a little expensive but I will watch for them to go on sale.

I've tried these outside of Thingtesting (Social Nature). The flavor is great and you could literally just open one up for a meal/mini-meal filled with vegan protein, fiber & with a good flavor (easy open cans make this all too tempting too). I've been wanting to try the Tomato Alla Vodka one for some time but the only no-added sugar one I've been able to find is the enchilada baed beans. I hope that they make more no-sugar added beans soon because the addition of sugar and acidic ingredients generally makes beans just less appealing to me (if I'm eating beans, I want to keep it pretty strictly healthy and good for my teeth ya'know?)
I really love these beans because they have so much flavor and are great for any dish. I buy these weekly and definitely recommend them.

I tried this through the thingtesting refund thing and they’re…good! I had it for dinner with some rice and it was…fine! I had to add cayenne because it really needed spice but I was pleasantly surprised by the layers of flavor. I will say that I have access to really great curries living in Atlanta and I have some sort of curry at a restaurant 1-2 times a week so maybe my standards are too high. I wouldn’t buy this again because it wasn’t anything exciting but maybe back in the day when I was in a baby vegetarian in college or something it would’ve come in handy.

I was able to get my hand on a free heyday can from ThingTesting. I was actually very shocked with the beans and how tasty it was. I am not CRAZY about beans but the kimchi navy beans were awesome. They were creamy and mix with the slight tang and umami of the kimchi flavor is just such an amazing combo. I heated up before trying and they were so good with rice. I’d highly recommend giving them a try! It is a little pricey for beans up front but try it and you will know they use high quality ingredients!

I tried the Tomato Alla Vodka beans and found them to be delicious and a super high-protein item to eat, but wasn't necessarily sure what to serve this item with - I ended up just having the beans with some sourdough bread. I can't wait to try other Heyday items!
I tried the coconut curry chickpeas and they were really good by themselves over some rice. I can see these beans making meals easier, especially as a vegan who eats a bit of beans to up my protein intake. I wish they were cheaper, but on sale it isnt so bad. I also picked up the harissa lemon beans and enchilada black beans. I might update this after trying those as well.
I really liked these beans! I noticed that the company has some recipes on their website, but I decided to just warm them up and eat with some parathas, which was the perfect quick and easy WFH lunch. The beans had a lot of flavor and weren’t mushy, which surprised me because typically canned beans are mushy and boring. I’m looking forward to trying more flavors!

I made the Coconut Curry Chickpeas for a small dinner party, and they were absolutely amazing. Full disclosure I did get this through the "Try things" discount! The chickpeas were great over rice. Love that you don't need a can-opener either, which makes this super accessible and the ideal donation for canned food drives! I totally understand that this is basically a rebranding for canned food similar to how Trader Joe's has rebranded TV dinners. But the chickpeas were honestly so good, and I will DEFINITELY be trying the other flavors. Love that they give vegans more options for delicious, filling, ready-made meals.

Love that they are elevating beans to a whole new level with this line of beans and lots of flavorful sauce. I tried the very tasty coconut curry chickpeas; my only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a chopped veggie like roasted red peppers to make this more of a meal. In addition, I'd like to see some healthier versions, since this particular can boasted a pretty high fat and calorie content.
Super fun and interesting flavors! I got the harissa lemon chickpeas - they were nice addition to my salad today. :) I wish that they had an alternative to the can - I’m trying to limit canned products. I also wish they didn’t contain any added sugars or seed oils as well. These are nice to have on hand as either an addition to meals or as a standalone in a pinch!
Heyday Canning Company's products are awesome! I love how convenient they are as a side dish for any meal- it really helps cut my planning/cooking time down by a lot. The coconut curry chickpeas were delicious and went really well over some rice!
Super cute packaging + canned convenience + fun flavors. HeyDay truly elevates the canned food experience. Although the Coconut Curry flavor was a tad sweet on its own, the flavorful chickpeas balanced well over rice. Overall, HeyDay makes tasty, quick, and easy meals! A bit expensive in my opinion, however, the delicious taste and convenience make it worth a splurge now and then. Excited to try the other flavors!
I'm recently obsessed with these canned beans, and for good reason! They're absolutely delicious. I've had the coconut curry and enchilada beans, and already went back to the store to restock. The flavors are on point and addicting, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. They're pricey for canned goods, yes, but it's worth the splurge, especially when you're looking to create an easy, incredible meal with ease.

I've tried quite a few of their beans - Harissa Lemon, Apricot Glazed, and Coconut Curry. I've found them all to be packed with flavor and obviously incredibly easy to make. I love having these on hand if I'm in one of those 'I don't feel like cooking but I should probably eat something somewhat healthy' moods.

Big fan of the concept and the variety of flavor profiles. Branding is super cute as well and definitely stands out on the grocery store shelf. Overall, the ones I've tried (coconut curry chickpea, tomato alla vodka cannellini, kimchi navy bean) have been decent, but I was hoping they would be a bit more robustly seasoned and flavorful. I (personally) needed to add salt, spice, and acid to each to bring out the flavors described on the cans. Given the fairly high price point, they're a bit disappointing as a standalone product, but not a bad starting point for a quick meal.

I was so eager to dive into these healthy bean meals however, I’ve tried three flavors already and every single one is extremely high in sodium and very, very salty. It’s pretty disappointing and I honestly would not recommend it for anyone. I actually don’t know what to do with the rest of my cans. Its just sitting around in my pantry. I should probably just donate them
