  • Obsessed with the flavor! I'm on my second jar and I'm always finding new things to put it on. It also is fun to display in my kitchen. Because of the higher price point, I end up using it pretty sparingly.

It can be messy when you're trying to close the jar. I'm a very clean person and am careful with how I handle it but it always leaves an oil ring on my counter which is very annoying to always have to clean.

  • Tried their extra spicy chili oil and love it. It’s pretty salty and has a different flavor than lao gan ma. Almost gives dishes a restaurant-y taste, if that makes sense. A pretty complex flavor profile chili oil.

  • The dumplings are delicious, definitely some of the best easy-to-make food to have handy in the freezer! The multipacks that are sold online are so pricey that I never felt comfortable buying some to test - so it was great to find a single pack at our local grocery!!

  • The spice and flavor in this chili crisp is sooo good. It's giving soy sauce with chili and a very punchy taste. Loved it on my stir fry and on my eggs. Definitely looking for more ways to use it!

  • I purchased the Fly by Jing Starter pack for my son's birthday. He LOVES hot and spicy flavors and food. Each of the sauces looks and smells delicious. It is clear that they use excellent and fresh ingredients. My son made several noodle dishes using the various sauces in the starter kit. He loved them and has purchased additional Fly by Jin products. If you don't LOVE spice, these are probably much too hot for you. Definitely too hot for me!

  • I have been putting this sauce on everything! Scrambled eggs, fried rice, eggrolls, dumplings, noodles, sushi…whatever you can think of I’ve tried it with Jing. It says that it’s spicy, but I found it to be more of a tingling sensation and not too much heat because I only use a small amount. It adds a little zing with the oil and some texture and crunch with the chili flakes. I just with there was a little less oil in the jar and more of the crunchy bits.

  • Flavor Explosion with Fly by Jing Fly by Jing offers a delicious array of Sichuan spices and sauces that perfectly complement their frozen dumplings, all made from natural and fresh ingredients. The flavors are truly outstanding and bring an authentic taste of Sichuan cuisine to your kitchen. The only downside is the price – it’s a bit on the expensive side. However, if you’re looking for high-quality, flavorful meals that are easy to prepare, Fly by Jing is definitely worth trying. It’s a delightful treat that brings a little luxury to your everyday meals. Four stars!

  • Although I liked this chili oil, I just don’t think it’s worth the price. I agree with other reviewers that the jar is mostly oil. I personally like more texture and crisps in my chili oil. With that said, the crisps are not really crispy at all. It’s like a muted version of the LGM brand (which I love and prefer over this). This one is however a little spicier than the LGM, but less flavorful and less garlicky. It’s still a good option, but it’s much pricier than one that I already use and love.

  • I tried the Sichuan Chili Crisp and it was tasty! I will admit it's a little salty, but it adds to the flavor. I ate it with tofu and it was great.

  • I have tried the sichuan chili crisp as a topping to a few dishes I have made and it definitely adds a lot of flavor and spice. You do have to be careful to not use too much unless you can handle it but I love it even on vegetables for some extra flavor and crunch.

  • We like it SPICY! I was putting off trying this brand after walking by it in the store every week. The price made me hesitate. However, you only need a tiny bit to send your food into outer space. I prefer this over sriracha when I don’t want the sugar content & I love this texture. Fly has an edge over my other loved chili crisp from Momofuku in cute packaging design that makes you want to leave it out.

  • A fan favorite, Fly by Jing’s Chili Crisp masterfully balances heat and texture. Crunchy fried garlic and shallots mingle with Sichuan peppercorns, delivering a tingling *mala* (numbing-spicy) sensation. It’s perfect for adding a spicy kick to avocado toast, dumplings, or even vanilla ice cream for the adventurous. The layers of flavor—smoky, aromatic, and just the right level of heat—make it irresistibly addictive.

  • I wanted to love this, but I just wasn’t a fan of the flavor. I also thought it was too oily - I know it’s suppose to be chili oil - but I wanted more chilies less oil and a little more seasonings for flavor.

  • So delicious and flavorful. I ate this with tofu and rice and it was a great way to add a punch to a simple meal. My favorite chili oil after Lao Gan Ma for sure

  • Sichuan garlic-y crisp sauce. This is good, but not as good as other options. Lots of the attention it gets is just based on it's branding/marketing. My preference is for Laoganma's Spicy Chili Oil which is a percent of the price but much better.

  • I purchased a little set from FBJ a while back - it came with 2 sauces and a jar of their spice mix. I have used them so much and love the flavor ! the mission and branding is great as well as the owner and their story! highly recommend :) I want to buy a large size of the spice blend asap!

  • I started out with buying the OG chili crisp ~two years ago and have converted at least three people into fans. As someone who’s usually not a fan of intense heat/peppers in my food, fly by Jing chili crisp converted me with the inclusion of sichuan peppers so the heat lands and spreads in a way that’s much more enjoyable for my palette. I’ve repurchased every time I’ve run out since and it became the perfect extra touch to everything I make (including vanilla ice cream! I promise you it’s worth it). My only reason for rating them 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the new metal (?) lids. There are probably design and sustainability benefits to the new lid but as someone with poor dexterity, I’ve found them extremely hard to open. I’ve already gotten two friends to attempt and have been unsuccessful. They’re still an amazing condiment with such unique and creative branding, but if you see that metal lid, I hope you’ve done some arm workouts.

  • I had this with wontons and I have to say this tastes so authentic. This pretty much replaces the spicy wonton sauce from din tai feng. Looks like I won't need to crave going to restaurants for spicy wontons. At first I thought it was quite expensive at $15 a jar, but comparatively it's the best chili crisp sauce I can buy. Would I want to pay $15 for a single bowl of spicy wontons or would I pay for the sauce which could get me 10 bowls.

  • I’ve tried many grocery store chili crisps before ( incl. momofuku’s) and this is by far the best one in terms of umami and flavor. I’m obsessed with their Sichuan Chili Crisp however I wish it was spicier. Next time I’ll be ordering the extra spicy version! *update: I caved and ordered the by jing box set which included the extra spicy chili crisp and it was amazing! I was also surprised by how good the chili crisp vin was, they were perf with smashed cucumbers.

  • I know this brand is known for their Sichuan chili crisp, which is absolutely deserving, but why aren't more people talking about their Zhong sauce??! This thick sauce is sweet, salty, spicy, savory and perfect to cook with and/or garnish dishes with.

I need larger quantity options because the little jar it comes in is not nearly enough!!
