E.l.f earns strong reviews for delivering high-performing, cruelty-free dupes—standouts include Power Grip Primer, Camo Concealer, Putty Blush/Bronzer, Halo Glow Liquid Filter, and excellent brushes—proving the brand is good and often comparable to prestige. Reviews also flag inconsistencies: hit‑or‑miss formulas, sticky primers for some, creasing concealer without setting, messy or leaky packaging, short product quantity, and irritation or breakouts on sensitive skin.

I use their clear brow gel and it’s inexpensive and works great!
Every product I have purchased from them has been of exceptional quality and has exceeded my expectations. Not only that, but each purchase has been offered at a very reasonable and affordable price point, which is why I continue to be a loyal customer.
Amazing
I have tried a variety of products and have been in general pleased with all that I have used. I have used their setting powder, setting spray, brushes, lip products, and blushes. I've really liked their brushes and blushes. Their setting spray worked well for the most part, but did not last as long or as well as other products I've used. I was not a fan of their setting powders simply because the color match was off, and the translucent made it a white bright shine rather than a nice clear finish. I wasn't a fan of the lip products, I did not like the variety of colors or the formulation, but it may work for others and not me. The color never lasted on me and it seemingly made my lips feel dry after some time.
ELF has the best dupes, I replaced my summer fridays jet lag mask with the ELF sleep mask and it smells amazing and keeps my skin clear and moisturized. I have a bunch of the ELF makeup products as well, I especially love their eyeshadows and the putty blush
E.l.f. is a great low budget makeup! As someone who doesn't wear makeup too much but needs reliable products for when I do, E.l.f. is perfect. Their products are lightweight, clean and use minimal packaging. I always recommend E.l.f. to everyone that asks for recommendations. I've been using Wow Brow and Lash Beats Mascara for years. The brow tint is just as good as the glossier brow tint and the mascara is not water proof but doesn't make too much of a mess. The putty contour and blush are great and breathable. The primer and setting mist definitely last all day, I use it on event days as an event manager.
I've always had some gnarly acne, and finding a product that covers my redness without aggravating my (somehow) dry skin further is a nightmare. elf's hydrating camo concealer contains no pore clogging ingredients, comes in a great range of shades, and actually makes good on its promises of full coverage. It does go a bit flakey by the end of the day, but that's after 10-12 hours wear on my super dry skin, so I don't think this would be an issue for people who are blessed with normal skin.
I love E.l.f.! After using expensive makeup products for years, I find that - to be completely honest - this stuff is just as good (if not better). I personally use E.l.f. for most of my everyday makeup routine: • Camo CC cream: I used to wear really full coverage foundation (Tarte Amazonian Clay) and this just feels so much lighter. • Putty cream blush: I'm still getting used to the consistency, but the color is great and that's really what I care about. • Bite size eyeshadow palette in Cream & Sugar: So obsessed with this $3 palette! I get so many compliments on it and always love a little sparkle!! • Expert liquid liner in Midnight: Also obsessed with this liner. I used to wear Maybelline blue mascara when I was in high school, so having a blue eyeliner is playful and nostalgic for me. This one is very dark, so it's almost imperceptible from black, but a little more fun :)
Love E.l.f - affordable, clean make up brand that’s good to its people. I particularly like their brushes, applicators, eyeliner, eyeshadows, make up cleansers, setting powders, and masks. Highly recommend for every day use and costumes.

I love how affordable this brand is and they have soooo many products in a wide range of colors
I love elf cosmetics! I've use their face primer for years. Their concealers do wonders as well! They have amazing products and the customer service in store is top notch!
I like maybe 2 of the products I've tried by elf (out of maybe 15). The two that I like, I *really* like. One is the putty blush in the shade Bora Bora, the other is the camo concealer. The other products included primers, bronzer, foundation, and makeup brushes. The texture of the primers and foundation were always off for me and the brushes weren't the greatest quality but did ok in a pinch when I forget my makeup bag while packing for vacation.
I love all Elf products I have purchased. The primer and eyebrow pencils are my favs.

One of my favorite brands to buy if I want to try out a shade or product without investing in a better quality brand OR if i need a product/shade for a one-time use for a costume or special occasion. Affordable, good quality, easy to find! I buy elf products regularly at easy to access stores like walmart & target. I am never disappointed with the quality i get for the price! They always have a great range of products & shades as well for everyone.
I’ve tried a few things - primer putty, eyeshadows, lip, highlights etc. They’re quite good for the price, especially the primers.
The newer E.l.f. Pure Skin line of skincare is shockingly good for the price point. Its all dermatologist developed and the ingredients are much cleaner than brands like Cerave. The products are sensitive skin friendly, won't break you out, and work well under/with any makeup products. I will absolutely be repurchasing. I also quiet like this brand for experimenting with makeup products because the pricing is so inexpensive, and they make "dupes" for higher end products that make shopping easier on the wallet. I actually prefer their "Big Mood" mascara over similar products from Sephora brands.
Halo Glow is a killer dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s flawless filter—and it’s a $14USD for a vial that will last for months. I consider it a must-have for those of us on a budget seeking a dewy finish or an easy way to add more glow. I use Halo Glow under my sheer but buildable foundation. It adds subtle dimension and glow. My favorite thing about it — it’s so easy!! The shade range has been expanded but is still lacking a bit for olive and persons of color. Note: I have fairly sensitive skin and did not have any issues with this product. Like all new products, please do consider patch testing before a full face application.

I've been looking for a new skincare product line, and through sheer overwhelm decided to try e.l.f.'s Holy Hydration line. It's super reasonably priced, promised gentle cleansing and deep hydration, and even came in a travel pack. Holy moly, this stuff is great! Slap more expensive packaging on it, and it would easily out-perform products five times the price. Do yourself a favor, ditch the overpriced stuff, and give this a try.

Elf really keeps up with trends! I’ve used some products and they are fine for a younger audience. I like the low price-point.
