Reviews mention

  • Effective exfoliating mask results
  • Hydrating, luxurious moisturizers
  • Potent brightening vitamin c serum
  • Gentle, non‑irritating cleanser
  • Bulky, wasteful plastic packaging
  • Sticky, metallic vitamin c texture
  • Messy, watery bronzing drops
  • Harsh acids for sensitive skin

Drunk Elephant earns mixed-to-positive reviews: many users see real improvements in glow, texture, and hydration from standouts like Protini Polypeptide Cream, C-Firma/C-Firma Fresh, Virgin Marula Oil, B‑Hydra, and T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, while playful, hygienic pump packaging appeals. However, reviews also cite frequent downsides—overpriced feel, bulky plastic and hard-to-empty packaging, sensitivity reactions or breakouts (especially with Babyfacial and some moisturizers), inconsistent results, greasy textures, and bronzing drops that can be messy or clog. Buy if you want clean, active formulas and iconic heroes; skip if you have very sensitive skin or dislike heavy packaging and premium pricing.

  • The fact that my little sister and I share each others products says enough. I love their wide ragee of products from skincare to hair care. I love the moisturizers the most! And these are perfect travel sizxes too

  • Limited experience with and mixed feelings about this brand. I like the overall aesthetics and approach but do think they are a bit overpriced and overhyped. Their deodorant is the best natural deodorant I have tried but I am not sure I would purchase it again.

  • I think their era is over.... there's just better quality products/formulas out there at way more affordable prices. Or better formulas for the same price. The gentle products aren't that gentle and I haven't been impressed with anything I've tried (e.g., Protini and some others)

  • I really like the brand and the way it made my skin feel. It's very gentle and lasts a long time.

I don't like the amount of plastic bottles and waste I end up having once the product is finished.

  • Unfortunately it is not for me. Love the texture, the packaging, the confort of the products I used (oil, moisturizers, serums) but I have sensitive skin on the cheeks with rosacea and I did not help reduce it. I think it is a great brand, good formulation, just not for me.

  • Just here to review the Baby Facial (which I believe is the only product worth the $$$). It does take some time for your skin to get used to it and I absolutely cannot use it in the winter bc my skin is super dry and sensitive in that season. However, in the summer/spring/early fall I wake up with super smooth skin after using it at night. Just a note, I think the Ordinary's AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is an affordable dupe for this if you don't feel like shelling out the big bucks for Baby Facial.

I've also tried DE's hydra-intensive serum and vitamin C eye cream and definitely did not think they were worth the price.

  • Great skincare products! Noticed a real difference when using only their products - I was having a troublesome period with my skin and stoped breaking out after using their 1 month minis kit. The franboos and the protini cream are among my favorite skincare products. The b-hydra used also a good staple to have and to mix it with other serums and oils. Overall, packages are great and funcional - I love not having to stick my fingers in the cream jars. I was not very impressed by their hair line though, and the packages were just bad and hard to get the product out.

  • Drunk Elephant is overhyped but they have some great products. Their deodorant and bouncy bright facial are holy grails for me. I seriously can't live without them. The deodorant has no scent but the mandelic acid keeps you from smelling. The bright facial legit makes my skin smoother and clearer the next day. I also have the whipped lotion and while I love the product, I absolutely hate the packaging. It's impossible to squeeze anything out so now I just cut it open and transfer it to another container.

  • Drunk elephant products are so overpriced for the quality and the brand has some questionable practices and beliefs. I've tried Protini and Lala which I liked fine enough, their solid products but nothing special. The Cleanser is certainly not worth the price, it doesn't have any exciting ingredients and while I actually prefer a simple gentle cleanser, there's no reason to pay this much for one. The Umbra Sheer was not sheer. It leaves a white cast and pills like crazy, had to return it.

  • The look is very appealing on the self. Overall great and they don’t use all that icky stuff that some other brands use. I use the Bouncy facial and the protini moisturizer. 9/10 one point off because the price!!!!

  • The drunk elephant bronzing drops are my holy grail every day product, perfect if you need a little bit of colour. I mix a few drops with my sunscreen and it doesn't clog my pores or break me out. Highly recommend!

  • I swear by the drunk elephant retinol cream and the protini polypeptide moisturizer. I've been using the moisturizer for 5 years and the retinol cream for 1 year. Nothing better for my skin needs. Overall the brand is super clean and I highly recommend looking into which of their products are best for your skincare needs and goals.

  • I have used several products and all of them are very nice. The protini lotion was a standout, it's a really fantastic lotion for super dry Michigan winters. The packaging is aesthetically pleasing but I wish there was less plastic.

There's a lot of drama around this brand (see YouTube) and there are enough other great cruelty free brands that don't have that history and are effective and cheaper so I no longer use Drunk Elephant.

  • I tried their Sephora birthday set and the cleanser was great but the Protini cream broke me out in a horrible rash, which was more common than I thought.

  • I am a huge fan of Drunk Elephant and have tried a bunch of their products. I particularly love the marula oil, glycolic night serum, and b-hydra.

The packaging is a little tough. You can't get to the bottom of the bottle on many of these.

  • Drunk Elephant is one of my to-go brands. I have been using a few of their products religiously for the last two years. My three favorite products are: D-Bronzi: I can't live without this product. I mix it with a moisturizer or sunscreen to achieve a natural bronzed look. I have been decreasing the amount of foundation I wear in the last few months, and it has been a great alternative. B-Hydra Serum: Hylarunic with B5 absorbs fast in the skin and lasts for months. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the texture and the size, and I can't take it with me during vacation. Lippe Balm: multiuse product, great for chap lips and under-eye bags. Amazing cost-benefit and size.

  • Cute packaging! I've repurchased the eye serum 4x now, its hydrating and helps depuff my undereyes in the morning.

  • it depends on the product, some products appealed to me very much, others not at all

  • I've used quite a few Drunk Elephant products. My two favorites are the D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops and the Virgin Marula Face Oil. The brand offers great packaging and impressive formulas. Although, as a skincare junkie, there are far better formulations on the market for half the price so you're really paying for the name with these products.
